介绍了美国数字图书馆的发展现状、发展目标及数字图书馆在美国的研究情况 ,重点介绍美国数字图书馆的一些项目、主要建设力量和相关成果 ,并分析出其建设特色和启示 ,对我国正在建设的数字图书馆工程起十分重要的借鉴意义 ,并有助于我国数字图书馆的研究。
