摘要
文章假定东进的Kelvin波可能被太平洋东岸反射为西进的Rossby波,导出了反射必要的海洋热力条件。这一定性的解析条件和东、西赤道太平洋El Nio事件发生前的实测平均热力状况一致,与Wyrtki指出的El Nio事件发生前夕亦道东风加强的论点相符,亦与Rasmusson和Carpenter按多次El Nio事件合成的统计结果吻合。本文还讨论了反射Rossby波对El Nio事件发展、成熟的贡献,以及Rossby波在亦道太平洋从El Nio事件期间的热力分布向非El Nio事件期间的热力分布过渡中所起的作用。
By assuming that the eastward equatorial Kelvin waves can be reflected by the east bank of the Pacific and turn into westward Rossby waves, the necessary oceanic thermodynamic conditions for this mechanism are derived in the present paper.These qualitative analytic thermodynamic conditions agree with observed facts in the prime of El Nino events onset in the west and east equatorial Pacific, and with the easterly strengthening on the eve of El Nino event onset(Wyrtki, 1976), and consist with the composed statistical results of El Nino events onset(Rasmusson and Carpenter, 1982).It is also noted that the Rossby waves reflected by the east bank of the Pacific have an effect on development and maturity of El Nino events and equatorial Rossby waves play an important role in the transient from thermodynamic distribution of El Nino event to that of non El Nino event in equatorial Pacific,
