The concentrations of U, Th and Fe in sediments from the continental shelf east of the Pearl River Mouth have been determined by Neutron Activation Analysis.The region of investigation is located at 113°30'-118°E and 20°-24°N. The concentrations of U, Th and Fe in sediments are 1.0°-3.5× 10(-6)g/g, 4.0-21.0×10(-6)g/g and 1.0-5.6%.Geochemical studies of U and Th in sediments from eastern offshore South China Sea were carried out.The relationship of the concentration of U with Fe is as follows:U(10(-6)g/g)=1.08+0.49Fe(%)
