武陵山区自然条件优越,资源富饶,但交通闭塞,生产水平低,贫困落后。建议发展庭园经济、改善生态环境、抓好粮食生产、办好交通、开拓能源及第三产业,促进文化、科技进步和经济繁荣。
Wuling mountain area is situated on the boundary of four provinces in Central-South China. In the area, there are very complicated and peculiar landforms and a bundant natural resources. The development of tourism has a vast vista. But the transportation and communication in the area are very poor, and its production level is still very low. The ways to develop and harness the area are: (1) to develop courtyard economy; (2) to expand grain production to meet the local need; (3)to improve traffic condition, exploit energy resources, enhance the territory industry; (4) to introduce advantageous science and technology and protect ecological environment.
