摘要
成都市万佛寺石刻造像自上世纪陆续出土后,其精品被收入一些图录中,并参加过国内外展览,但未有正式清理报告发表,也缺乏系统的分期分类统计和研究。2000年7～8月间,四川省博物馆在北京大学考古文博院实习师生和成都市考古队同仁协助下,将馆藏全部万佛寺石造像重新作了清理,进行了系统测绘、分类等研究工作。本文为初步整理简报。
Since their first discovery at the beginning of the 20^(th) century. some of the Wanfo Temple carvings have found their way into some good catalogues, and some even went abroad for exhibition. However,no official report has yet been published so far on these carvings, let alone a scientific research. In July and August 2000, students and teachers from the School of Archaeology and Museology, Beijing Univer-sity, joined with the Chengdu Archaeological Team in sorting up these carvings in a systematic way.
