New Optical Modulation Format: Optical Duobinary

摘要 光纤在全球通信中运用越来越广泛,在光纤中要传输的数据量也在大量增加,怎样充分利用目前已经铺设好的光路而又要保证信号传输质量是当前光通信领域研究较多的问题.本文就此提出了一个新的光调制技术:双二进制码光调制技术,既增大了光频段的使用率同时也减少光传输中对光纤色散的依赖性,实现了数据的大容量、远距离传输. Optical communication is now widely used in the global tele-communications. The data communication is increasing dramatically in recent years. One of the hot topic in optical communication is: How to effectively use the existing fiber, which has already installed in all of the links, meanwhile guarantee the delivering of the high quality optical signal in the optical transport networks. This paper has proposed a new optical modulation format: optical duobinary modulation. This modulation format can increase the optical-spectral efficiency and reduce the dependency on the optical chromatic dispersion. Hence it can realize the large transmission capacity, and long distance optical transmission in optical communication.
