社会控制是维系社会稳定、防止社会解体的基本手段。审美活动作为社会活动的子系统之一 ,也在社会控制的范围之内。审美控制具有不同于一般社会控制的特点。社会通过文化、教育、舆论、群体组织等系统对社会审美活动进行控制。与此同时 。
Social domination is a fundamental means to maintain the stability of society and to prevent it from disintegration. As one of the branches of social activities, aesthetic activity is within the scope of the social domination. Therefore, society, through the systems of culture, education, public opinions and mass organizations, dominates social aesthetic activities.
