用人工饲料饲养幼虫,组建生命表,研究饲料蛋白质含量对棉铃虫Heliothis armigera种群生长的影响。基础饲料含可溶性糖27.6%。饲料蛋白质含量由7%增加到13%时,幼虫历期明显缩短,成虫繁殖力大幅度提高,导致种群趋势指数上升85%。更高的饲料蛋白质含量虽然对幼虫的发育和存活没有不利的影响,但成虫的产卵量下降。根据试验资料估测,饲料中碳水化合物和蛋白质含量的比率在1.5~2.6之间对棉铃虫种群生长比较合适。这些结果表明,食料植物中碳水化合物和蛋白质的浓度以及两者的比率对棉铃虫的生长、发育和繁殖可能都有一定的影响。
The life tables of the cotton bollworm, Heliothis armigera, reared on the artificial diets with different protein levels were constructed in order to investigate the effect of dietary pro-tein content on population growth. The basic diet contained soluble sugars of 27.6%. A rise of dietary protein concentration from 7% to 13% significantly shortened larval period and en-hanced adult fecundity with an increase of trend index of the population by 85%. A protein content higher than this level resulted in decline of mean egg production by female adults al-though no adverse effect on larval development and survival was observed.It is estimated that the carbohydrate: protein ratio ranging from 1.5 to 2.6 in the diet was suitable for better performance of this insect species. These results suggest that carbohydrate and protein contents as well as their ratio in food plants would exert certain influence on po-pulation dynamics of the cotton bollworm in the field.
