摘要
作者整理采自四川省蚋科标本时,发现蚋属一新种,谨以我国已故寄生虫学家秦耀庭教授之姓氏命名。模式标本保存在辽宁省卫生防疫站。长度单位均为mm。 秦氏蚋 Simulium qini 新种(图1—18) 雄体 长3.8。头比胸稍宽,复眼上2/3小眼面明显比下1/3的大,彼此界线清楚。触角11节,第1、2节棕色,第3—5节红棕色,其余为棕黑色。触须4节,黑色,各节长度比为5:8:9:19;拉氏器长椭圆形,小,其长度为触须第2节长度1/5,开口于末端。
In this paper, a new species of Simulium from Sichuan Province is described. Type spe- cimens are deposited in Liaoning Health & Anti-Epidemic Station.Simulium qini sp. nov.(figs. 1-18): Body length 3.8mm. Eyes brown, the upper 2/3 with larger facets, sharply separated from the lower 1/3 which is provided with smaller facets. Antenna with 11 segments, the first and second segments brown, 3-5th segments red brown, the rest dark brown. Maxillary palpus with 4 segments, black, in proportion of 5:8:9:19. The greater part of legs yellow, the coxa of hind legs and distal 1/4 of femur dull colored. Genitalia: Coxite subguadrate in shape, length nearly equal to width. Style long, about 2.8 times as long as its greatest width near base. Ventral plate blunt triangle in form, base wide, its width nearly two times its length, in ventral view with a triangular process at posterior center, which is directed downwards and forwards. Seen in end-on view, triangular; in lateral view, in shape of a duckts head (fig. 4). Parameral hooks with ten strong spines. Body length 3mm. Antenna with 11 segments, the first and second segments yellow, ventral view of 3-4th segments yellow, the rest brownish black. Maxillary palpus black. Most part of legs light yellowbrown. Genitalia: The eighth sternite transverse rectangular. An-terior gonapophyses triangular; paraproct and cercus as shown in fig. 9.Mature larva: Body length 6-7mm. Head yellow-brown. Head spots positive, brown. An-tenna with 4 segments, in proportion of 10: 16: 7:1 The first tooth of mandcata front teeth long and thick; 12-13 comb teeth. Hypostomium teeth 9 in number, only median tooth well de-veloped. Postgenal cleft in shape of an arrow head, large and deep. Gill filaments of branchial spot 6 in number. Posterior circlet with 96-102 rows of 18-20 hooks each.Pupa: Body length 3.5-4.0 mm. Gill filaments length 1.8-2.0mm. Cocoon length 4.0-4.5mm, boot-shape, just like the shape of Simulium quinquestriatum cocoon, loosely woven. Thoracic trichome long and thick, 3 pairs in numbr and branched into 3-5. Gill organ with 6 filaments (fig. 17), arranged in 2 + 2 + 2, arising near base.Holotype , allotype , paratypes , 5 pupae, 6 larvae; all taken from Baoguo Temple, Mt. Emei, Sichuan Province. (29.6N, 103.3E, 600M), in October, 1984. Paratypes , 24 pupae, 38 larvae, taken from Chengdu (Long quan-yi), Sichuan Province.This new species is allied to Simulium griseifrons Brunetti, 1911 and Simulium ufengense Takaoka, 1979. But distinguishable from them by: Ventral plate blunt triangular in form, base wide, its width nearly two times its length, in ventral view with a triangular process at pos-terior center, which is directed downwards and forwards
