Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) are discussed in this review. The scope covers the classification, characteristics and functions of reactors. The state-ofart and development of Membrane Bioreactors for fermental process, mammalian cells and plant cells culture and biocatalysis are analyzed detailedly.
