摘要
在介绍了目前互联网无 QoS 质量保证或保证不足的基础上,提出了如何为互连网上传输多媒体流提供 QoS 方案的问题。阐述了目前采用的速率控制方案及存在的不足,提出了一种互联网上用于多媒体流的端到端传输体系结构和一种基于 TCP 的多媒体流协议,这种协议能够根据网络状态的前向估计和信息反馈最优地跟踪网络状态。同时,给出了一种资源分配方案通过率失真函数使媒体速率适应估计的网络带宽。
On the basis of introducing current QoS over internet, this paper raises a problem about how to provide a QoS project for multimedia streaming transmission. After expounding current rate-control projects and their disadvantages, we propose a an end-to-end transport architecture for multimedia streaming over the internet and a new multimedia streaming TCP-friendly protocol ,which combines feedback control to optimally track the network conditions. Meanwhile the paper, presents a resource allocation scheme to adapt media rate to the estimated network bandwidth using rate-distortion function.
