摘要
本文回顾了中国图书馆的发展历程 ,阐述了图书馆发端于奴隶社会 ,成熟于封建社会 ,文献流通量小 ,重藏轻用 ,是农业文明的产物。近代图书馆是工业文明的产物 ,对文献藏用并重。现代图书馆是信息时代的产物 ,是全面开放的信息系统。未来的图书馆是无纸社会的产物 ,是没有围墙的图书馆。本文认为 ,今天的图书馆是由昨天的藏书楼发展而来的 ,图书馆的存在形态必须与社会发展相适应。在社会变革的挑战面前 ,图书馆只有与时俱进 ,才是求生存、求发展的惟一途径。
This essay looks back on the construction course of Chinese library and expounds the library in different ages.Ancient Library was the product of agriculture civilization,which originated in slave society and matured in feudal society when the circulation of the literature is little ,emphasizing store and use.Neoteric Library was the fruit of industry civilization,emphasizing both store and use.Modern Library is the result of Information Times,opening all-sidedly the info-system.Future Library will be the product of non-paper society as the library without bounding wall.Besides,the essay illustrates the present library tracing to the old book-collected building.The existence of library must identify with the development of the society.Facing to the challenge of social revolution,only keeping pace of times can library strive for existence and further development.
