摘要
该论文以武汉的大学英语专业学生英语学习成败归因调查数据为基础,分析了大学生成败归因的特点和趋势,指出不正确归因对今后学习动机的激发和保持的负面影响,并提出了相应的改变错误归因的方法和途径.
This paper reports the findings of two survey studies on students' attribution in English learning. The studies are conducted among the tertiary level English majors in Wuhan. The results show that the majority of the students participated in the surveys identify themselves as unsuccessful English learners. They attribute their failure mainly to their deficiency of ability. This kind of attribution indicates the students' lacking of confidence in themselves, and it will surely affect their future motivation level in a negative way. The paper analyzes the attribution tendency, and suggestes some possible solutions.
