摘要
本文应用平面波法和光子晶体光纤 (PCF)的全矢量超格子叠加模型 ,分析了光子晶体光纤的模式及二次模截止特性 .对于给定结构的PCF ,计算得到了决定模式数量及模式截止的归一化传播常数 .由截止频率及其渐近线将PCF的工作区域划分为三个 :无尽单模 ,单模和多模区域 .
Plane wave method and a full vector model based on supercell lattice method are applied for modeling photonic crystal fibers. The normalized propagation constant, which determines the number of the modes and mode cutoff is obtained for a PCF: with a certain structure parameters. The cutoff frequency and its asymptotic bound are used to define the boundaries of three operation regime of PCF: which consist of endlessly single-mode, single mode and multimode operation.
