Calculation of First Order Direction Focusing Position and Image Parameters in Homogeneous Mangnetic Field with Straight Line Boundaries

摘要 本文探讨了直线边界均匀磁场中离子束的一级聚焦位置及象宽和象长的计算。所述方法可用于多接收器质谱计的设计。 The precision, accuracy and abundance sensitivity of measurement in mass spectrometry can be improved if the ion beams of different mass numbers are simultaneously measured at each focus with a multiple collector system. By setting up a reference coordinate system at the focal point of central ion beam with the mean mass number M, this paper has found out the expressions for calculating the first order single direction focusing position and image parameters o[ ion beam with mass number M in homogeneous magnetic field with straight line boundaries. A practical example of application is given. The principle described can be applied to the designing of multiple collectors.
