摘要
随着数字计算性能的提高,数子系统变得越来越复杂,运行变得脆弱且不可靠。如与计算机相关的故障变得司空见惯。面向恢复的计算(ROC)认为:硬件故障、软件故障以及操作员错误仍需要人们面对,但不必作为一定要彻底解决的问题。通过关注平均修复时间,而不是平均故障时间,发现快速的恢复减少了恢复时间,因而提供了更高的可用性。
With the improvement of Digital computing performance, digital systems have grown in complexity, their operation has become brittle and unreliable. For example, Computer - related failures have become too common. Recovery -oriented Calculation (ROC) takes the perspective that hardware faults, software bugs, and operator errors are facts to be coped with, not problems to be solved. By concentrating on Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) rather then Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) , we find that quick recovery reduces recovery time and thus offers higher availability.
