摘要
在经济和军事方面业已取得很大进展的同时,中国要想真正实现大国崛起,作为一个文明大国屹立于世界之林,赢得世人由衷尊重,当务之急是要重建中华文明的价值系统。这个价值系统以"仁义礼智信"为核心,同时吸收古今中外一切人类文明的优秀成分。恰如当初孔子在"周文疲弊"的情况下对于"斯文"的呼吁,如今建立这一价值系统,可谓重建"斯文",这正是中华文明再创辉煌的历史使命。
While having made great progress in economy and military, China still urgently need to rebuild the value system of the Chinese civilization in order to rise as a great power, stand rock firm as a modern civilization in the family of nations, and win sincere respects of the world. This value system should take as its core the 'benevolence, righteousness, etiquette, wisdom and faithfulness', and meanwhile assimilate the advances of all-time human civilizations at home and abroad. Like Confucius's appeal to 'this culture of ours' against the background of the 'weakening of Zhou Dynasty's culture', building the said value system now amounts to the reconstruction of 'this culture of ours'. This historical mission of achieving a new glory is conferred upon the Chinese civilization.
