摘要
当代美国印第安文学因其丰富的文本表征和多样性的表现手法引起了评论界的广泛关注。对美国印第安文学的评论应综合考虑其动态、多元的文本特质。作为一种独特的文学流派,美国印第安作品不应被贴上整体性的标签。对其文本的探究要具体考察文本所处的独特文化传统、宗教习俗、部落风俗等元素。此外,在评论中应系统评价多元化背景下文本的杂糅特征。叙述、宗教、神话、性别等方面均可作为探讨文本杂糅性的视角,以构建杂糅性分析的批评范式。在将美国印第安文学置于后殖民视角的评论中,除了将文本视为主体性构建的载体等功能性探讨之外,也应关注其自身的语言特色和机制,以全面、整体地把握美国印第安文学的特征和发展趋势。
Contemporary American Indian literature has successfully attracted wide critical attention for its rich connotation and versatile techniques.The critical perception of it,however,should take full consideration of its literary features and be more conscious of its dynamic and versatile characteristics.As a peculiar literary genre,American Indian writings should not be generalized with a pan-Indian tag.The survey on the American Indian works should take into account the specific cultural tradition and religious beliefs of certain tribe where the writing is shaped.Also,in the criticism,the hybridized features of American Indian writings should be systemically explored to reveal the survival strategy of contemporary American Indian writings.Narration,religion, myth and gender may be appropriate perspectives to weave a comprehensive and dynamic structure for the interpretation of the hybridized feature of contemporary American Indian writings.In addition to the attention on the functional role the American Indian writings play in the post-colonial setting,we should also put emphasis on the linguistic as well as narrative features and mechanism in the works.Only in this way can we obtain a comprehensive view of American Indian literature as a self-sufficient literary creation.
