摘要
1.引言人类所在的自然环境总是处于变化之中,变化既可由自然原因也可由社会原因引起。自工业革命以来,自然环境受到的社会影响迅速增加,这种影响从本质上说扰乱了自然环境的组成、结构、功能及其发展过程,带来了环境问题第二次世界大战以后,环境问题愈演愈烈。
IUCN, UNEP, and WWF are co-preparing a document named 'Caring for the World'(Subtitle: A Strategy for the Sustainability), a successor to the 'World Conservation Strategy(1980)', for the 1990s against the deteriorating environment and diminishing natural resources. This article briefly introduces the new points presented by the document: 1.The ultimate aim of development and conservation is to achieve sustainability comprising ecological, economic, and social sustainabilities all together; 2. Ecological, economic and social sustainabilities are closely related and cannot be separately attained; 3. All peoples around the world should change gradually their ways of iving and working towards ones that are compatible with sustainability.
