摘要
城市科学的产生，适应了城市化进程不断加速和充分发挥城市中心作 用的现实需要．城市科学由分属５个系列的数十门学科构成，目前呈现两种 互补的发展态势：发散分化与收敛综合，促进城市科学的发展，要求强化有 关城市课题的综合研究，组建综合性城市研究机构，创办相关专业．
The emergence of urban science (or urbanology) has met the practical need of speeding up of continuous urbanization course and playing the role of urban center fully. Urban science is composed of many dozens of subjects which belong to five different series. At present, two kinds of development states of mutual supplement have appeared in urban science: divergent division and convergent synthesization. Promoting the development of urban science, it is necessary to strengthen the synthetic study of urban problems, to set up comprehensive urban research institutions and to establish correlative specialized subjects.
