Abstract This paper recounts in detail the course from the reform of land system in liberated areas in the beginning of 1930s to the reform of land stock-cooperative system in developed areas in the beginning of 1990s, exposes the struggle between Maxism and opportunism for 60 years, and sums up the lessons. This paper has 5 parts:1. the success of land reform and the mistakes of eliminating rich peasants too early. 2. from primary cooperative to high - grade cooperative. 3. people′s communalization movement. 4. peasants are great pioneers in China reform. 5. the second breakthrough of rural reform:land stock-cooperative system.
