The Silk Road has become a tourist route that attracts the attention of more and more tourists both at home and abroad. This article,written by the head of the Tourism Administration of Gansu province located on the hub of the route,not only offers the general presentation of the development of tourism and the features of tourist resources of this area,but expounds the ideas on how to build the Silk Road into a tourist route most favoured by the tourists during the 21st century.
