摘要
从史前时代结束到吐蕃王朝以前，西藏高原无论其内部还是与周边地区的交通都得到极大的开辟和发展。交通的发展不但促进了各部落之间的交往联系，也促进了西藏与周边各文明地区之间的交流，从而给西藏文明发展进程带来了深刻影响。本文主要从藏文史籍的记载对这一时期西藏高原的交通状况及其推动交通发展之原因进行了探讨。揭示出西藏高原的早期文明具有非常开放的特点，同时也是在一种较为开放环境中的形成和发展起来的。
Tibet had a great development in transportation not only on the Tibet Plateau but also in its surrounding areas from the end of the prehistoric age to the start of the Tufan kingdom. The development of the transpotation promoted the exchanges among the tribes and the communication between Tibet and the civilized surrounding areas as well, which brought a profound effect on the civilization development in Tibet. The transportation condition in Tibet and the reason for the transportation development at that period of time are discussed according to the historic record in Tibet. It is pointed out that the characteristic of the early civilization in Tibet Plateau were very open and created and developed in such an open environment.
