Luis Barragan is one of the most influential architects in Mexico. His achievement is primarily attributed to his reinterpretation of the Modern Architecture,as well as his critique to the popularized International Style Architecture. The paper reveals Barragan's intellectual mediation between the spirit of the epoch and the cultural tradition.
