图像压缩中小波变换技术的研究

摘要 介绍了图像压缩的必要性及小波变换在时域、频域所具有的良好的局域化特性 .它弥补了DCT的不足 ,它的多分辨分析变换特性与人眼的视觉特性非常接近 ,不但保持原图像在各种分辨率下的精细结构 ,而且便于和其它新兴图像编码方法相结合 ,成为当今研究的热点 .文中在介绍小波变换的基本理论的基础上 。 This paper introduces the essentiality of image compression and the good localization properties of wavelet transform both in space and frequency domains, which makes up the deficiency of DCT. Moreover , wavelet transform has recently emerged as a promising technique for image compression due to its flexibility in multi-scale resolution representation of image signals .This paper states the theory of wavelet transform and discusses the key technology of image compression based on wavelet transform.
