摘要
高质量的大学英语教学需要高素质的英语教师,各高校应该重视对大学英语教师的综合素质培养。本文提出了大学英语教师所需的全面扎实的知识基础要点,探讨了如何获得精湛的英语教学实践技能,论述了该职业品格修养和人文素质的陶冶,并提出将科研与教学结合不断开拓创新的发展方向,得出了大学英语教师综合素质的培养和提高有益于社会发展需要之结论。
High quality English language teaching for non-English major university students requires College English teachers with high qualities in different aspects. They should have laid a solid foundation in the knowledge of English, linguistics, literature and pedagogy, and trained themselves well with excellent skills in the arrangement of English classroom activities with respectable personality, devotion to the profession and love for the students. Scientific research combined with teaching improvement will be the further development of college English teachers.
