摘要

The religious thinking of the famous Jewish American writer Isaac Bashevis Singer has aroused critical attention. However, what most of the critics have done is to sum up the major aspects of Singer's religious thinking. This thesis, employing the deconstructive method, is intended to reveal the complexity and contradiction of Singer's religious thinking and to explore the process of the formation of his conflicting ideas. It considers Singer's writings and thinking from different angles so as to enable the readers to find the prismatic perspectives of Singer's writings and thinking.
