《蓝调石墙T》是 2 0世纪末西方具先锋性的性别解放文本。小说塑造了新型的叛逆者、性别边缘人跨性别者形象 ,展示了西方社会发展的新态势 :追求个体生命的完全自由 ,拒绝一切规定性 ,包括性别的规定。但由之引发的却是恐惧、惶惑与自我的失落。小说沿袭的是女性主义、后现代主义的写作模式。跨性别者具有革命性 ,但它在人性的提升、完善 ,人类的生存。
Stone Butch Bluse is a pioneering text on sexual liberation at the end of 20th century. Following the models of feminist and post modernist writing, the novel portrays a new type of rebel, a sex marginal and transsexual image; and displays a new tendency of western society, that is, seeking absolute freedom of individual life, rejecting all prescriptive rules, including those on sex. This tendency has brought about fear, perplexity and the loss of selfhood. Although the transsexual image demonstrates a revolutionary character, it also has some negative effects on the enhancement and perfection of humanity as well as on the existence and reproduction of human being.
