摘要
约瑟夫·康拉德在小说《黑暗的心》中运用了大量的象征手法。本文试图分析作品中黑与白两个颜色词的使用 ,探讨其中丰富的象征意义 ,揭示康拉德对人类文明。
In Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, the writer employs a lot of symbolic metaphors. The present paper, through an analysis of the two colour words black and white, endeavours to explore their rich symbolic meanings which, contrary to people′s conventional understanding, reveal Conrad′s pessimistic reflection on human civilization, human nature and their relationships.
