摘要
本文论述英语动词被动语态的实质.在指出探讨所及问题的必要性之后,文章揭示了被动语态的实质就是"be(a)+-en"的本质语法意义,即施动性--含施动者的施动动作.
This paper deals with the essence of the passive voice of the English verb. Having pointed out the necessity for probing into such a problem, the paper reveals the essential grammatical meaning is just that of 'be (a)+ en', namely agency(an agentive action with an agent expressed overtly or covertly), which is verified logically, ontologically and linguistically. In doing all this, our paper defends the correct viewpoint on the grammatical category in linguistics theoretically and clarifies the false concept of “active in form but passive in meaning” practically.
