The protecting grouping of amino acids, which are used in the solid-phase peptide synthesis was reviewed. New protecting groups of α-maino,α-carboxyl and active groups of side chains were discussed in details. The structure characteristics and cleavage conditions of new protected amino acids were described. The future trend in protected amino acids was further proposed.
