人物形象是小说文本的核心,如何凸现栩栩如生的形象便成了小说家们永恒的追求,曹雪芹无疑是此中高手。在凸现贾府二小姐迎春的丈夫孙绍祖这一特殊的人物形象时,曹雪芹的艺术处理恰好正与现代叙述学的理论不谋而合:故事外叙述者/非人物叙述者和故事内叙述者/人物叙述者一起共同担当了架构人物的媒介,于是,人物乃至文本就获得了一种超越话语的意义。
Characterization is the core of a novel, and how to characterize a character is vital for a novelist. Undoubtedly, CaoXueqin is a master in this way. The characterization of Sun Shaozu, who was the husband of Lady Ying Chun in Dream of the RedChamber, is identical with modern narration. For both out-of-story narrator and in-story narrator become the medium creatingcharacters, thus, the characters and the text itself gain a significant meaning.
