Objective: to explore the value of nurse-patient communication in elderly diabetes nursing. Methods: a total of 300 elderly diabetes patients admitted by the author's hospital from January 2021 to June 2021 were selected. The group was named as the experimental group and the control group by random drawing, and the number of patients in both groups was 150. Patients in the control group received routine clinical nursing intervention, while patients in the experimental group received nursery-patient communication on the basis of the control group. The nursing staff's satisfaction, knowledge of diabetes and compliance were compared between the two groups. Results: the satisfaction of patients in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group, the difference was great (P < 0.05). Moreover, the diabetes knowledge and compliance scores of the experimental group were also higher than those of the control group, and the difference was significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: in the nursing intervention of elderly diabetes, it is worthy of clinical promotion to improve the satisfaction of nursing staff.
