We consider 1-periodic branched continued fraction of the special form which is an analog fraction with not equivalent variables if the values of that variables are fixed. We establish an analog of the parabola theorem for that fraction and estimate truncation error bounds for that fractions at some restrictions. We also propose to use weight coefficients for obtaining different parabolic regions for the same fraction without any additional restriction for first element.展开更多

The objective of this study is to show that the Double-Wayland algorithm ...The Wayland algorithm has been improved in order to evaluate the degree of visible determinism for dynamical systems that generate time series. The objective of this study is to show that the Double-Wayland algorithm can distinguish between time series generated by a deterministic process and those generated by a stochastic process. The authors conducted numerical analysis of the van der Pol equation and a stochastic differential equation as a deterministic process and a Ganssian stochastic process, respectively. In case of large S/N ratios, the noise term did not affect the translation error derived from time series data, but affected that from the temporal differences of time series. In case of larger noise amplitudes, the translation error from the differences was calculated to be approximately 1 using the Double-Wayland algorithm, and it did not vary in magnitude. Furthermore, the translation error derived from the differenced sequences was considered stable against noise. This novel algorithm was applied to the detection of anomalous signals in some fields of engineering, such as the analysis of railway systems and bio-signals.展开更多

This qualita...This article is based on research on pre-service teachers' perspectives on their mathematics knowledge of proof in geometry. The study was framed using tile mathematical knowledge for teaching framework. This qualitative study employed the use of a task-based worksheet, focus group sessions and semi-structured individual interviews. The task-based worksheet was completed by 180 pre-service mathematics teachers (second, third and fourth year mathematics education students). Pre-service mathematics teachers are student teachers who have not yet completed their training to become teachers. After the analysis of the task-based worksheet, 20 participants were invited to participate in focus group sessions and individual interviews. The findings of the study reveal that the participants possess peripheral mathematics knowledge of proof in geometry. The study aims at assisting pre-service teachers and interested educationists to explore innovative methods of acquiring and imparting mathematics knowledge of proof in geometry. The study proposes possible changes in curriculum at school and university level.展开更多

It shows the impact of characteristics variables of this se...This paper studies the efficiency of the public financial management system in a developing country (Cameroon) by using time series data from 2000 to 2012. It shows the impact of characteristics variables of this sector in the process of sustainable growth. The contribution of these indicators in sustainable development, notably public expenditures, debt servicing or public debt and fiscal revenue is determined by using the Stoehastie Frontier Analysis approach (SFA). A significant connection between public expenditures, debt servicing and sustainable growth ratio is established by the model studied. The research results show an encouraging but low level of efficiency in State financial management policy. Thus, in order to avoid a sovereign debt crisis that developed countries of Europe are facing these current days, some efforts must continue to be done not only to control the public debt, but also for a better allowance of public expenditures and a good collection of State revenue.展开更多

The dynamic game is also viewed as equivalent to a pair of dual variational problems without the condition of fixed points. It is also indicated that the equivalent formulation of a pair of symmetric dual variational problems as dynamic generalization of those had been already studied in the literature. Parvizi determine Baer-invariant of finitely generated Abelian groups. Also, it is done for some non-Abelian groups, such the dihedral and the quaternion groups directly, and sometimes with the softwares of Gap and Magma. But nobody works on non finitely generated Abelian groups. In 1979, M.R.R. Moghaddarn showed that the structure of Baer-invariant of group commutes with the direct limit of a directed system, in some sense. The authors have used these results and proved that the Baer-invariant of C is always trivial and also Baer-invariant of Abelian groups Q/z and Z (p∞), with respect to the varieties of outer commutators and so polynilpotent, nilpotent are trivial. One can see immediately that the covering groups of these groups are themselves. Then after computing the Baer-invariant of Zn with respect to Burnside variety, we have concluded for Q/z and Z(P∞) Burnside variety. In the future, they try to survey the commutativity of the Baer-invariant variety with the other useful varieties in order to attain similar results for another non finitely generated Abelian groups.展开更多

The plant under consideration is described with the use of a state space equation and a transfer function with interval parameters. The considered model describes for example an oriented PV (photovoltaic) system. As a controller a P (proportional) controller was applied. It is very simple and their application in the situation we deal with assures the suitable control performance. The controller is going to be implemented at digital platform. To construct the control system a cost function proposed by the authors was applied. It describes both the energy consumption and the sample time of controller. The proposed cost function is a function of plant parameters, describing the dynamics of the plant and controller parameters: proportional gain and sample time. For the cost function a simple geometric interpretation can be given: for fixed plant parameters and varying controller parameters it is a surface in the Ra plane. This fact can be applied to assign of optimal controller. Theoretical results were depicted by a numerical example.展开更多

Synthesizer as tool for testing of hypotheses and results of experiments, satisfy three conditions: independence from the selection of unit for the synthesis (word or any part of it); taking into account the environment of unit (left and right hand contexts and position of unit); independence from the content of base. Such synthesizer is a good tool for studying many aspects of speech and removes the problem of selection. We can vary the unit and other parameters, described in paper, by the same synthesizer, synthesize the same text and listen to the results directly. This paper describes the formal structure of experimental Georgian speech synthesizer.展开更多
