Influential factors analysis of detection accuracy for an inductive wear debris sensor

The application of oil debris monitoring technology to lubricating oil has gained substantial prominence as a diagnostic tool for identifying machinery and equipment wear-related issues.Among the various methods available for wear fault monitoring,the detection of changing electromagnetic fields using triple-coil inductive sensors are widely used because of its inherent simplicity of design and operational convenience in facilitating full-flow detection.However,the accuracy of this method is limited by several factors.In this study,an intricate simulation model of the internal magnetic field in a triple-coil inductive sensor was developed.Subsequently,the effects of the excitation signal frequency and wear particle composition on the magnetic flux density were analyzed.The simulation results show an optimal excitation frequency range of approximately 2100 kHz for ferromagnetic particle detection,whereas nonferromagnetic metal particles require higher excitation fre-quencies.With an increase in the distance between adjacent wear particles,the magnetic coupling effect de-creased rapidly.Moreover,the magnetic flux density changed from its maximum value to a minimum value as the rotation angle of the particles increased from 0°to 90°.A special experimental platform was constructed to verify the simulation results,and the experimental results were consistent with the simulation results. 展开更多

Evaluating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)systems within a System-of-Systems(SoS)environment helps clarify their contribution to the overall combat capability and supports effectiveness-oriented system optimization.When assessing decision systems in such an environment,cross-level modeling and simulation are required,which often face a trade-off between low modeling cost and high simulation accuracy,while the credibility of results remains challenging to ensure.To address these issues,this study proposes a hybrid-granularity Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL)SoS environment construction method based on Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique(GERT).The method employs GERT to analyze the relationships between simulation systems,the System Under Test(SUT),and mission outcomes,thereby determining the required model precision for different systems.A dynamic resource allocation algorithm is applied to adjust model granularity on demand,ensuring high-fidelity simulation under constrained total cost.Additionally,GERT estimates the computational frequency and communication bandwidth requirements of the SUT,guiding hardware selection to enhance simulation credibility.A UAV maritime combat case study was conducted for validation.The results demonstrate that,compared to the flat modeling approach,the hybrid-granularity scenario based on GERT analysis achieves higher simulation accuracy with lower overall model complexity.The coefficient of variation in evaluation results significantly decreases in HIL simulations compared to virtual simulations,confirming improved credibility.Under the hybrid-granularity HIL scenario,the decision system was evaluated from an effectiveness perspective,identifying the most sensitive performance parameter.Subsequent targeted optimization led to an 11.90%improvement in effectiveness,validating the method's practical utility. 展开更多

In recent years,O2O e-commerce,represented by online group-buying,has developed vigorously,which had significant impacts on urban commercial space.Zhengzhou City is a rising national central city in China,and its e-commerce development level is ahead,but relevant researches are rare.Therefore,the data of online retailers of Meituan.com was collected and combined with Baidu map and Baidu heat map data.Then,we adopted the methods such as spatial statistics and geodetector to explore the geography and determinants of O2O online retailers in Zhengzhou urban area.The main conclusions are 1)The spatial development of O2O online retailers is characterized by significant global high-value agglomeration.2)The agglomeration areas of different types of O2O online retailers are different.Most of them are concentrated in the old urban area within the Third Ring Road of Zhengzhou City,forming five comprehensive agglomeration areas.3)The areas with the high e-commerce development level are mainly concentrated in the northeast and southwest of the x-shaped region formed by the intersection of Lianyungang-Lanzhou and Beijing-Guangzhou railways.Erqi Square and Guomao 360 Plaza are at the highest development level,followed by Zhongyuan Wanda Plaza and Daxue Middle Road.The development level at other areas is relatively low.4)Zhengzhou’s O2O commercial pattern is highly dependent on physical business.The population distribution,especially the population distribution during the nightlife period,plays a vital role in its spatial development,followed by accessibility.The influences of physical distance are slightly larger than that of time cost,but the difference between them is little.In addition,travelling costs have the least impact.This paper could provide certain references for urban commercial planning. 展开更多

The analysis shows that carrying capacity of surface water environment in the study area is not good, carrying capacity of 3 studied waters for TP, BOD_5 and COD is approaching to the limit. New Zhengdong District, in terms of industrial structure, should promote the projects with less water consumption, less or no discharge of wastewater, and also should enhance the sewage treatment, improve recycling rate of the reclaimed water, and reduce the negative impact of sewage and pollutant discharge on environment. 展开更多

3D printing has emerged as an advanced manufacturing technique for carbon fiber reinforced composites and relevant structures that endure significant dynamic loads in engineering applications.The dynamic behavior of t... 3D printing has emerged as an advanced manufacturing technique for carbon fiber reinforced composites and relevant structures that endure significant dynamic loads in engineering applications.The dynamic behavior of these materials,primarily influenced by the dynamic fiber pullout interface strength necessitates investigation into the rate-dependent fiber/matrix interfacial strength.This study modifies a Hopkinson tension bar to conduct dynamic pullout tests on a single fiber bundle,utilizing a low-impedance bar and an in-situ calibrated semiconductor strain gauge to capture weak stress signals.Stress equilibrium analyses are performed to validate the transient dynamic loading on single fiber bundle specimens.The results reveal that the fiber/matrix interfacial strength is rate-dependent,increasing with the loading rate,while remaining unaffected by the embedded length.Fracture microstructural analyses show minimal fiber pullout due to high interfacial stresses induced by longer embedded lengths.Lastly,suggestions are made for the efficient design of fiber pullout experiments. 展开更多

In this paper,we consider the inhomogeneous pressureless Euler equations.First,we present a class of self-similar analytical solutions to the 1D Cauchy problem and investigate the large-time behavior of the solutions,and particularly,we obtain slant kink-wave solutions for the inhomogeneous Burgers(InhB)type equation.Next,we prove the integrability of the InhB equation in the sense of Lax pair.Furthermore,we study the spreading rate of the moving domain occupied by mass for the 1D Cauchy problem with compact support initial density.We find that the expanding domain grows exponentially in time,provided that the solutions exist and smooth at all time.Finally,we extend the corresponding results of the inhomogeneous pressureless Euler equations to the radially symmetric multi-dimensional case. 展开更多

Dynamic evaluation of China’s atmospheric environmental pressure from 2008 to 2017:Trends and drivers

Evaluating the pressure of atmospheric pollutant emissions on the atmospheric environment is crucial for effective pollution control and emission reduction policies.This study introduces a novel Atmospheric Environmental Pressure Index(AEPI)and employs a dynamic comprehensive method to evaluate China’s Atmospheric Environmental Pressure(AEP)across 31 provinces from 2008 to 2017.The drivers of AEP were analyzed using a spatial panel data model,uncovering the integral role of pollution reduction policies,particularly the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan,which led to a 25%reduction in AEP during its enforcement.Our findings reveal significant spatial disparities in AEP,with higher levels in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta regions.The regression analysis identifies economic development,industrial structure,energy efficiency,environmental regulations,and urbanization as key influencing factors,though their impacts vary across different regions,suggesting the need for region-specific pollution control policies.Furthermore,the shift in the AEP gravity center from2008 to 2017 indicated a southeastward movement,suggesting the necessity to focus air pollution control efforts on the southeast provinces.In conclusion,the AEPI developed in this study enables comparative analysis of AEP across different regions and facilitates the monitoring of long-term trends,which is valuable in guiding regional air pollution control in China. 展开更多

The essence of the outburst-rock burst compound dynamic disaster is the disaster behavior of the"gas-coal-surrounding rock"system under the comprehensive action of the stress field and the seepage field.Based on the geological occurrence characteristics of coal and rock in the roof,coal,and floor,this study combinedexperimental research and theoretical analysis to explore the effects of confining pressure,gas pressure,and axial loading rate on the mechanical behavior of gasbearing rock-coal-rock combination structures("RCR combination").The results show that both decreasing gas pressure and increasing confining pressure can improve the deformation capacity and bearing capacity of the RCR combination.When the gas pressure decreases from 1.5 to 0.5 MPa and the confining pressure increases from 3 to 9 MPa,the peak stress of the RCR combination increases by 15.83% and 184.02%,respectively.On increasing the axial loading rate,the peak stress of the RCR combination first increases and then decreases,and the elastic modulus continues to decrease.There is a good correspondence between stress and acoustic emission counts(AE),which can be used as a predictive index for judging rock fracture instability.Compared with rock,coal exerts much greater influence on the mechanical strength of the RCR combination.The theoretical analysis shows that the parameters m and F_0 mainly affect the peak stress of the RCR combination,and the speed of stress reduction after the peak of the RCR combination is influenced by the parameter m.The coal elastic modulus exerts greater influence on the bearing capacity of the RCR combination than the rock elastic modulus.When the elastic modulus of rocks increases from 10 to 25 GPa and that of coal increases from 2 to 5 GPa,the peak stress of the RCR combination increases by 9.87% and 8.97%,respectively. 展开更多

Domain-Aware Transformer for Multi-Domain Neural Machine Translation

In multi-domain neural machine translation tasks,the disparity in data distribution between domains poses significant challenges in distinguishing domain features and sharing parameters across domains.This paper proposes a Transformer-based multi-domain-aware mixture of experts model.To address the problem of domain feature differentiation,a mixture of experts(MoE)is introduced into attention to enhance the domain perception ability of the model,thereby improving the domain feature differentiation.To address the trade-off between domain feature distinction and cross-domain parameter sharing,we propose a domain-aware mixture of experts(DMoE).A domain-aware gating mechanism is introduced within the MoE module,simultaneously activating all domain experts to effectively blend domain feature distinction and cross-domain parameter sharing.A loss balancing function is then added to dynamically adjust the impact of the loss function on the expert distribution,enabling fine-tuning of the expert activation distribution to achieve a balance between domains.Experimental results on multiple Chinese-to-English and English-to-French datasets demonstrate that our proposed method significantly outperforms baseline models in both BLEU,chrF,and COMET metrics,validating its effectiveness in multi-domain neural machine translation.Further analysis of the probability distribution of expert activations shows that our method achieves remarkable results in both domain differentiation and cross-domain parameter sharing. 展开更多

Traffic sign detection is an important part of autonomous driving,and its recognition accuracy and speed are directly related to road traffic safety.Although convolutional neural networks(CNNs)have made certain breakthroughs in this field,in the face of complex scenes,such as image blur and target occlusion,the traffic sign detection continues to exhibit limited accuracy,accompanied by false positives and missed detections.To address the above problems,a traffic sign detection algorithm,You Only Look Once-based Skip Dynamic Way(YOLO-SDW)based on You Only Look Once version 8 small(YOLOv8s),is proposed.Firstly,a Skip Connection Reconstruction(SCR)module is introduced to efficiently integrate fine-grained feature information and enhance the detection accuracy of the algorithm in complex scenes.Secondly,a C2f module based on Dynamic Snake Convolution(C2f-DySnake)is proposed to dynamically adjust the receptive field information,improve the algorithm’s feature extraction ability for blurred or occluded targets,and reduce the occurrence of false detections and missed detections.Finally,the Wise Powerful IoU v2(WPIoUv2)loss function is proposed to further improve the detection accuracy of the algorithm.Experimental results show that the average precision mAP@0.5 of YOLO-SDW on the TT100K dataset is 89.2%,and mAP@0.5:0.95 is 68.5%,which is 4%and 3.3%higher than the YOLOv8s baseline,respectively.YOLO-SDW ensures real-time performance while having higher accuracy. 展开更多

Developing electromagnetic(EM) wave absorbing materials with low reflection coefficient and optimal operating frequency band is urgently needed on account of the increasingly serious EM pollution. However, the applications of common EM absorbing materials are encumbered by poor high-temperature stability, poor oxidation resistance, narrow absorption bandwidth or high density. Herein, the strong EM absorption capability and wide efficient absorption bandwidth of high entropy ceramics are reported for the first time, which are designed by a combination of the novel high entropy(HE) rare earth silicide carbides/rare earth oxides(RE3 Si2 C2/RE2 O3). Three HE powders, i.e., HERSC-1(HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2),HERSC-2 HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2/HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)2 O3) and HERSC-3(HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)3 Si2 C2/HE(Tm0.2 Y0.2 Dy0.2 Gd0.2 Tb0.2)2 O3), are synthesized. Although HERSC-1 exhibits a limited absorption effect(the minimum reflection loss(RLmin) is-11.6 d B at 3.4 mm) and a relatively narrow effective absorption bandwidth(EAB) of 1.7 GHz, the optimal absorption RLminvalue and EAB of HERSC-2 and HERSC-3 are-40.7 d B(at 2.9 mm), 3.4 GHz and-50.9 d B(at 2.0 mm), 4.5 GHz,respectively, demonstrating strong microwave absorption capability and wide absorption bandwidth.Considering the better stability, low density and strong EM absorption effect, HE ceramics are promising as a new type of EM absorbing materials. 展开更多

Electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing materials play a vital role in modern communication and information processing technologies to inhibit information leakage and prevent possible damages to environment and human bodies.Currently,most of EMW absorbing materials are either composites of two or more phases or in the form of nanosheets,nanowires or nanofibers in order to enhance the EMW absorption performance through dielectric loss,magnetic loss and dielectric/magnetic loss coupling.However,the combination of complex shapes/multi phases and nanosizes may compound the difficulties of materials processing,composition and interfaces control as well as performance maintenance during service.Thus,searching for single phase materials with good stability and superior EMW absorbing properties is appealing.To achieve this goal,the EMW absorbing properties of transition metal carbides TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)and high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C which belong to ultrahigh temperature ceramics,were investigated in this work.Due to the good electrical conductivity and splitting of d orbitals into lower energy t2glevel and higher energy eglevel in TMC6octahedral arrangement,TMCs(TM=Ti,Zr,Hf,Nb and Ta)exhibit good EMW absorbing properties.Especially,Hf C and Ta C exhibit superior EMW absorbing properties.The minimum reflection loss(RLmin)value of Hf C is-55.8 d B at 6.0 GHz with the thickness of 3.8 mm and the effective absorption bandwidth(E_(AB))is 6.0 GHz from 12.0 to 18.0 GHz at thickness of 1.9 mm;the RL_(minvalue)of Ta C reaches-41.1 d B at 16.2 GHz with a thickness of 2.0 mm and the EABis 6.1 GHz with a thickness of 2.2 mm.Intriguingly,the electromagnetic parameters,i.e.,complex permittivity and permeability are tunable by forming single phase solid solution or high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C.The R_(Lminvalue)of high entropy(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))C is-38.5 d B at 9.5 GHz with the thickness of 1.9 mm,and the EABis 2.3 GHz(from 11.3 to 13.6 GHz)at thickness of 1.5 mm.The significance of this work is that it opens a new window to design single phase high performance EMW absorbing materials by dielectric/magnetic loss coupling through tuning the conductivity and crystal field splitting energy of d orbitals of transition metals in carbides,nitrides and possibly borides. 展开更多

Liquid-metal cooling(LMC)process can offer refinement of microstructure and reduce defects due to the increased cooling rate from enhanced heat extraction,and thus an understanding of solidification behavior in nickel-based superalloy casting during LMC process is essential for improving mechanical performance of single crystal(SC)castings.In this effort,an integrated heat transfer model coupling meso grain structure and micro dendrite is developed to predict the temperature distribution and microstructure evolution in LMC process.An interpolation algorithm is used to deal with the macro-micro grids coupling issues.The algorithm of cells capture is also modified,and a deterministic cellular automaton(DCA)model is proposed to describe neighborhood cell tracking.In addition,solute distribution is also considered to describe the dendrite growth.Temperature measuring,EBSD,OM and SEM experiments are implemented to verify the proposed model,and the experiment results agree well with the simulation results.Several simulations are performed with a range of withdrawal rates,and the results indicate that 12 mm·min^(-1)is suitable for LMC process in this work,which can result in a fairly narrow and flat mushy zone and correspondingly exhibited fairly straight grains.The mushy zone length is about 4.8 mm in the steady state and the average deviation angle of grains is about 13.9°at the height 90 mm from the casting base under 12 mm·min^(-1)withdrawal process.The competitive phenomenon of dendrites at different withdrawal rates is also observed,which has a great relevant to the temperature fluctuation. 展开更多

Traditional ceramic materials are generally brittle and not flexible with high production costs,which seriously hinders their practical applications.Multifunctional nanofiber ceramic aerogels are highly desirable for applications in extreme environments,however,the integration of multiple functions in their preparation is extremely challenging.To tackle these challenges,we fabricated a multifunctional SiC@SiO_(2) nanofiber aerogel(SiC@SiO_(2) NFA)with a threedimensional(3D)porous cross-linked structure through a simple chemical vapor deposition method and subsequent heat-treatment process.The as-prepared SiC@SiO_(2) NFA exhibits an ultralow density(~11 mg cm^(-3)),ultra-elastic,fatigue-resistant and refractory performance,high temperature thermal stability,thermal insulation properties,and significant strain-dependent piezoresistive sensing behavior.Furthermore,the SiC@SiO_(2) NFA shows a superior electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum refection loss(RL_(min))value of-50.36 d B and a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB_(max))of 8.6 GHz.The successful preparation of this multifunctional aerogel material provides a promising prospect for the design and fabrication of the cutting-edge ceramic materials. 展开更多

Dense polycrystalline cubic boron nitride(PcBN)composites were fabricated by high-pressure and high-temperature(HPHT)sintering using polysilazane(PSN)and Al as sintering additive.After high-energy ball milling,the cBN fine particles were uniformly coated with PSN by ultrasonic treatment.After thermocuring and pyrolysis,the cBN–SiCN particles were mixed with Al The PcBN composites were prepared after sintering a1450°C for 10 min with a pressure of 5 GPa.The refining effect of high-energy ball milling on the c BN particles was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and laser particle size analyzer.The oxidation of the cBN particles after milling was investigated by nitrogen–oxygen analyzer.The phase composition and microstructure of the sintered PcBN composites were investigated by X-ray diffractometer(XRD)and SEM.The main phases of the sintered PcBN composites are c BN,AlN,SiC and Si3N4The conversion of cBN to hBN was inhibited by the formation of AlN.The mechanical properties of the sintered PcBN composites were improved by the appearance of SiC and Si3N4.The density and mechanical properties of the PcBN composites both increased with the content of the cBN particles increasing.The sintered sample with 60 wt%cBN,30 wt%PSN and 10 wt%Al showed the best results density of 99.7%,Vickers’hardness of(25.2±0.8)GPa and flexural strength of(602±15)MPa. 展开更多

A new hot-dip galvanizing method was employed on hot-rolled low carbon steel.The effects of Al contents on microstructure,micro-hardness and corrosion resistance of Zn-Al alloy coatings were systematically investigated.Phase composition,microstructure and element distribution in Zn-Al alloy coatings were analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD)and electron probe micro analysis(EPMA),respectively.It is found that Al content(0.6-6.0 wt.%)in galvanizing zinc affects surface quality and adhesion between coatings and matrix in the newly developed method.In addition,with increasing Al content,micro-hardness significantly increased due to the increase in Zn-Al eutectoid phases.Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)also revealed that increase in Al plays a noticeable role in improving the corrosion resistance of Zn-Al alloy coatings. 展开更多

(ZrMg)xY2-2xMo3O12(x=0.0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5,0.6,0.7,0.8,0.9,and 1)ceramics have been synthesized to obtain less hygroscopicity and negative thermal expansion.With increasing the substitution of(ZrMg)^6+(ion radius 7.2×10^-11 m)for Y3+(ion radius 9×10^-11 m),the crystal water are reduced obviously.The linear thermal expansion coefficient is improved with increasing the content of(ZrMg)^6+.The material shows near zero thermal expansion(-0.12×10^-6 K^-1,430-870 K)with x=0.7.Meanwhile,ZrMgMo3O12 shows low non-hygroscopicity and negative thermal expansion,but low softening temperature.After substituting amount of Y^3+for(ZrMg)^6+in ZrMgMo3O12(x=0.8),the softening temperature increases remarkably(750 K to 830 K)and it presents near zero thermal expansion. 展开更多

As communication technology and smart manufacturing have developed, the industrial internet of things(IIo T)has gained considerable attention from academia and industry.Wireless sensor networks(WSNs) have many advantages with broad applications in many areas including environmental monitoring, which makes it a very important part of IIo T. However,energy depletion and hardware malfunctions can lead to node failures in WSNs. The industrial environment can also impact the wireless channel transmission, leading to network reliability problems, even with tightly coupled control and data planes in traditional networks, which obviously also enhances network management cost and complexity. In this paper, we introduce a new software defined network(SDN), and modify this network to propose a framework called the improved software defined wireless sensor network(improved SD-WSN). This proposed framework can address the following issues. 1) For a large scale heterogeneous network, it solves the problem of network management and smooth merging of a WSN into IIo T. 2) The network coverage problem is solved which improves the network reliability. 3) The framework addresses node failure due to various problems, particularly related to energy consumption.Therefore, it is necessary to improve the reliability of wireless sensor networks, by developing certain schemes to reduce energy consumption and the delay time of network nodes under IIo T conditions. Experiments have shown that the improved approach significantly reduces the energy consumption of nodes and the delay time, thus improving the reliability of WSN. 展开更多
