A validated self-administered questionnairethat included 13 attitudes and 14 barrier items was used as a tool. The reliabilityof the tool was 0.89 (Cronbach's alpha). In the analysis of attitude scores, responseswere rated on a scale from 0 to 4, with 0 representing 'strongly disagree'and 4 representing 'strongly agree' for supportive attitudes towards organdonation. Participants with a total attitude score of 39 or higher indicated agreementor strong agreement with all items, reflecting a generally supportiveattitude toward organ donation. Lower scores suggested that the respondent wasneutral or disagreed with one or more items, indicating a less supportive attitudetoward organ donation. Knowledge about organ donation was assessed by selfadministeredquestionnaire that included 13 items. Analysis was done using SPSSversion 29. χ2 was used to assess associations between variables.RESULTSMost participants were young (≤ 30 years old, 83.7%), female (79.2%), from World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Region countries (69.5%), Muslim (82.4%), students (80.6%), single(83.9%), and from a nursing college (33.1%). The majority had no personal or family history of organ donation(93.2% and 93.9%, respectively). Supportive attitudes toward organ donation were significantly associated withreligion (P = 0.003), working status (P = 0.009), university (P = 0.019), and knowledge (P < 0.001). Additionally, those with a personal or family history of organ donation were significantly more supportive (56.8% vs 33.3%, P =0.004). Lack of awareness was the most reported barrier for organ donation (64.1%) followed by being afraid oforgan donation due to medical procedures required (51.9%).CONCLUSIONThe findings suggest that supportive attitudes toward organ donation are influenced by demographic factors, personal experiences, and knowledge levels. Lack of awareness and fear of medical procedures were the mostreported barriers to organ donation. These results highlight the need for targeted educational programs to increaseawareness and promote positive attitudes toward organ donation.展开更多

文摘Against the backdrop of intensified global cultural collisions and ideological competition, deeply integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture(ETCC)into university ideological and political courses(IPCs)has become an imperative of our times.Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping’s methodology of“Two Integrations,”this paper examines the pathways for this integration from three dimensions:value, theory, and practice. The value dimension emphasizes fostering moral conviction and strengthening the spiritual foundation to meet needs such as safeguarding cultural security, preserving the spiritual lineage, and constructing a spiritual framework. The theoretical dimension reveals the mutually constitutive breakthroughs between Marxism and traditional Chinese dialectical thinking, encompassing methodological complementarity, logical coherence of values, and discursive system innovation. The practical dimension involves constructing a comprehensive educational ecosystem by localizing teaching content, modernizing traditional resources, and fostering inter-platform collaborative education, thereby internalizing the value of traditional culture. These three dimensions synergize and co-constitute each other, collectively providing methodological support and practical paradigms for cultivating cultural confidence among youth and forging a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.
文摘BACKGROUNDLimited research exists on attitudes and barriers to organ donation in the UnitedArab Emirates, highlighting the need for a deeper understanding of public perceptionsand challenges.AIMTo assess the attitudes and barriers toward organ donation.METHODSA cross-sectional study was adopted and included 607 samples consisting ofstudents, faculty, and staff who were selected from three universities in Ajmanand who had signed consent forms. These results highlight the need for targeted educational programs to increaseawareness and promote positive attitudes toward organ donation.
文摘This study aimed to quantify the carbon footprint of the National University of Juliaca(UNAJ)for the year 2023,in order to identify the main sources of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions and provide a foundation for implementing sustainable policies. The methodology was based on the greenhouse gas inventory approach outlined in ISO 14064-1,applying the operational control method to measure both direct and indirect emissions.Data on energy consumption, transportation, and purchased goods and services were collected using digital tools and surveys, and emissions were calculated in metric tons of CO_(2)equivalent(tCO_(2)e).The results indicate that UNAJ’s total carbon footprint in 2023 was 1,461.03 tCO_(2)e,with per capita emissions of 0.47 tCO_(2)e per person. The main sources of emissions were transportation, accounting for 75.88%of total emissions, followed by the consumption of goods and services(14.29%)and energy use(5.12%).Despite limitations in solid waste management, the study makes a valuable contribution to the development of sustainability strategies, emphasizing the urgent need for sustainable mobility policies, energy efficiency measures, and the adoption of responsible procurement practices.Furthermore,it highlights the importance of achieving carbon neutrality at UNAJ as a key objective in mitigating its environmental impact. The findings provide relevant insights from the Peruvian context and offer a basis for analyzing emissions at local universities, with practical implications for enhancing environmental management in higher education institutions.
文摘This longitudinal study investigated how self-management and learning burnout influences the relationship between habitual mobile phone use and subjective well-being amongfirst-year university students.A sample of 1172 Chinese university students participated in a two-wave survey, with data collected six months apart at two time points(T1,T2).The results of Pearson correlation revealed that higher habitual mobile phone use at T1 was associated with lower subjective well-being at T2.Self-management was associated with healthy phone use habits and higher subjective wellbeing.Learning burnout risk was higher with habitual phone usage.Lower self-management and learning burnout at T2 played a chain mediating role between habitual mobile phone use at T1 and subjective well-being at T2 so that subjective well-being was much lower that with either of the variables alone.Overall, thesefindings suggest that habitual mobile phone use is a reliable predictor of college student’s subjective well-being,by their self-management and level of learning burnout over time. This research highlights the long-term impact of habitual mobile phone use on students’subjective well-being and provides valuable insights for developing effective interventions to support students well-being.
基金2024 General Research Topic of the Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy,“Research on the Collaborative Development of‘Future Learning Centers’in Engineering University under New Strategic Needs”(Project No.:ZLB20240820)。
文摘The collaborative development of future learning centers in engineering university is a crucial component of integrating education, technology, and talent development. Its essence lies in cultivating top-notch innovative engineering talents with both scientific and technological literacy and humanistic feelings for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a historical narrative and a deep understanding of engineering talent cultivation in China.By tracing back to the formation of educator Mei Yiqi’s engineering intentions, the integration of engineering knowledge, and the history of engineering education governance, this paper proposes the key to the collaborative development of future learning centers in engineering university in the era of artificial intelligence.Firstly,it is necessary to update educational concepts and view learners as dynamically self-empowered individuals with plural existences.Secondly, attention should be paid to dynamic knowledge of possibilities, and cross-subject and interdisciplinary cognition and reflection should be carried out based on the types of engineering knowledge.Thirdly,it is essential to establish an engineering talent cultivation model with problem-guided knowledge learning as the core. With the support of digital network platforms and artificial intelligence technology,an infinite link of ideas and knowledge can be established through comprehensive textual methods, constructing learners’own“infinite library”and a spiritual world that is proactive, creative, and cultural.
