Methods: Based on the clinical epidemiologic mass survey, the study was carried out by means of a status survey, multi-center and large-sample research. The data base was set up by EPIINFO6.0. The SPSS was used to do the statistical analyses in 2651 cases of psoriasis vulgaris to study the correlations among the distribution and development of the TCM syndromes, the stages of the disease, nationality, psoriasis history, family history, smoking history, alcohol drinking history, and severity of the disease. Results: The TCM syndromes in psoriasis vulgaris mainly include the blood-heat syndrome (53.8%), blood-dryness syndrome (27.4%), and blood-stasis syndrome (18.1%). Other syndromes were rarely seen, covering 0.6%. The concurrent syndromes mainly involve dampness, heat, blood stasis and toxin. The distribution differences of the main syndromes at different stages of the disease had statistical significance (P<0.01). The syndrome distribution is not related with nationality and family history (P>0.05), but it was closely related with the psoriasis history, smoking history, alcohol drinking history, and severity of the disease (P<0.01). Conclusion: At the initial stage, psoriasis vulgaris usually manifests itself as the blood-heat syndrome, and later it may be improved or turn into the blood-dryness or blood-stasis syndrome. Smoking, alcohol consumption, and severity of the disease may play a role in the syndrome's transformation.展开更多

Methods: 160 postoperative 5-year breast cancer patients from 1995 to 2000 were tracked, summed up and analysized TCM syndromes as stagnation of hepatic qi, deficiency of spleen and pathogenic phlegm reten- tion, blood stasis and toxin stagnation, deficiencies of both blood and qi. Results: (1) For blood stasis and toxin stagnation TCM syndrome, the metastatic rate raised to 45% during 5 years. However, the metastatic rates of other three TCM syn- dromes are 15%, 17.5% and 22.5% respectively. The general distant metastasis rate was 27.5% (P<0.01). (2) Lymph node metastasis, tumor size, Her-2 and its receptor have no obvious relation with TCM syndromes classification (P>0.05). Conclu- sion: (1) TCM syndrome classification has close relation with breast cancer distant metastasis. Distant metastasis have close relationship with blood stasis and toxin stagnation syndrome. (2) Lymph node metastasis, tumor size, Her-2 and its receptor have no obvious relation with TCM syndromes classification, which suggested that metastatic ability has been programmed in the early stage of carcinoma initiation. (3) Significantly enlightening for predict the prognosis under the guide of TCM syn- drome classification and take right therapeutic strategy: attack pathogen and activate blood circulation against cancer.展开更多

文摘TCM formulae are the important guidances for clinical application of traditional Chinese medicines, which follow the principles of diagnosis and treatment in TCM.Elucidating the bio-active components of TCM formulae is the key to the modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicines. With the rapid development of modern instruments and technology, many new theories, methods and strategies are emerging, which upgrade the research of TCM formulae into a higher level.Only when the medicinal efficacy,bio-active components, function mechanism of TCM formulae are understood,we can guarantee TCM safety and quality control. In this paper,we summarized the latest modern research thoughts and methods on bio-active components of TCM formulae including formula decomposition study, serum pharmacology and serum pharmacochemistry, association analysis,biochro-matography,network pharmacology, metabolomics and proteomics,so as to provide reference for the research and development of TCM in the future.
文摘Microcirculatory changes and therapeutic effects in 39 non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) cases were evaluated. Under the same basic treatment in both groups, the treatment group (21 cases) was treated with TCM drugs according to its stages and compared with the control group (18 cases, treated with 654-2). The results showed that the microcirculatory cumulative scores were significantly decreased in both groups (P<0.05), but the decrease in the treatment group was more marked (P<0.05). In the treatment group, 15 cases were cured, 3 markedly effective, 2 effective and 1 ineffective; while in the control group, 13 cases were cured, 1 markedly effective and 4 ineffective. Statistically, there is no significant difference between the 2 groups (P>0.05) in therapeutic effects.

文摘Objective: To simplify the TCM pattern of the zang-fu organs. Methods: A database of zang-fu syndromes was established. The relationship between the zang-fu syndromes was analyzed by means of frequency analysis, association rule, and ф-coefficient correlation. Results: The six zang-fu organs of the heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, and stomach prove to be the main components of the zang-fu pattern. The large intestine, small intestine, gallbladder, bladder, triple energizer, and pericardium have strong association and positive correlation with the above-mentioned six zang-fu organs, and their clinical symptoms can all be included into the symptoms of these six zang-fu organs. Conclusion: The traditional TCM pattern of six-zang and six-fu can be simplified into five-zang and one-fu.
文摘Objective: To study the distribution and development rules of the TCM syndromes in psoriasis vulgaris. Smoking, alcohol consumption, and severity of the disease may play a role in the syndrome's transformation.
文摘Objective: To discuss the relationship between the postoperative breast cancer with distant metastasis and the TCM syndromes classification. (3) Significantly enlightening for predict the prognosis under the guide of TCM syn- drome classification and take right therapeutic strategy: attack pathogen and activate blood circulation against cancer.

文摘Objective: To evaluate the short-term therapeutic effects of TCM for IgA nephropathy in children. Methods: Sixty-two children with primary IgA nephropathy diagnosed for the first time by renal biopsy in the authors’ hospital were randomly divided into a group of 34 cases treated with both TCM and Western medicine and a group of 28 cases treated with Western medicine for six months. The improvements in urinary protein and red blood cell (RBC) were observed and the scores for TCM symptoms and signs were evaluated after 3 months and 6months of treatment. Results: There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (χ2=4.743, P>0.05 after treatment for 3 months; and χ2=1.953, P>0.05 after treatment for 6 months). However, the cure plus marked effect rate in the group treated with both TCM and Western medicine was higher than that in the group treated with Western medicine (71.9% vs 45.5%, P<0.05 after treatment for 3 months). At the end of treatment, significant difference were found in the effective rate (9.3% vs 10.5%, χ2=9.653, P<0.01) and in the total score (0.81+1.18 vs 3.42+2.52,t=4.19, P<0.001) between the two groups. Conclusion: Treatment with both TCM and Western medicine can effectively improve the TCM symptoms and signs in child patients with IgA nephropathy, and alleviate hematuria and albuminuria.
文摘The therapeutic effects in treating the intermediate and late rheumatoid arthritis by supplementing the kidney and invigorating blood circulation were observed. In the 43 cases of the treatment group, No. 2 Qu Feng Shi Ling capsules (祛风湿灵胶囊2号) and Fenbid (芬必得) were prescribed, while in the 39 cases of the control group Lei Gong Teng Tablets (雷公藤总甙片) and Fenbid were given. The results showed that the total effective rate in the treatment group was more satisfactory than that in the control (P<0.05 or P<0.01). With less toxic effects, the former could better improve the local swelling and lower the blood viscosity.
