Evaluating Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)systems within a System-of-Systems(SoS)environment helps clarify their contribution to the overall combat capability and supports effectiveness-oriented system optimization.When assessing decision systems in such an environment,cross-level modeling and simulation are required,which often face a trade-off between low modeling cost and high simulation accuracy,while the credibility of results remains challenging to ensure.To address these issues,this study proposes a hybrid-granularity Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL)SoS environment construction method based on Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique(GERT).The method employs GERT to analyze the relationships between simulation systems,the System Under Test(SUT),and mission outcomes,thereby determining the required model precision for different systems.A dynamic resource allocation algorithm is applied to adjust model granularity on demand,ensuring high-fidelity simulation under constrained total cost.Additionally,GERT estimates the computational frequency and communication bandwidth requirements of the SUT,guiding hardware selection to enhance simulation credibility.A UAV maritime combat case study was conducted for validation.The results demonstrate that,compared to the flat modeling approach,the hybrid-granularity scenario based on GERT analysis achieves higher simulation accuracy with lower overall model complexity.The coefficient of variation in evaluation results significantly decreases in HIL simulations compared to virtual simulations,confirming improved credibility.Under the hybrid-granularity HIL scenario,the decision system was evaluated from an effectiveness perspective,identifying the most sensitive performance parameter.Subsequent targeted optimization led to an 11.90%improvement in effectiveness,validating the method's practical utility. 展开更多

With the continuous advancement of unmanned technology in various application domains,the development and deployment of blind-spot-free panoramic video systems have gained increasing importance.Such systems are particularly critical in battlefield environments,where advanced panoramic video processing and wireless communication technologies are essential to enable remote control and autonomous operation of unmanned ground vehicles(UGVs).However,conventional video surveillance systems suffer from several limitations,including limited field of view,high processing latency,low reliability,excessive resource consumption,and significant transmission delays.These shortcomings impede the widespread adoption of UGVs in battlefield settings.To overcome these challenges,this paper proposes a novel multi-channel video capture and stitching system designed for real-time video processing.The system integrates the Speeded-Up Robust Features(SURF)algorithm and the Fast Library for Approximate Nearest Neighbors(FLANN)algorithm to execute essential operations such as feature detection,descriptor computation,image matching,homography estimation,and seamless image fusion.The fused panoramic video is then encoded and assembled to produce a seamless output devoid of stitching artifacts and shadows.Furthermore,H.264 video compression is employed to reduce the data size of the video stream without sacrificing visual quality.Using the Real-Time Streaming Protocol(RTSP),the compressed stream is transmitted efficiently,supporting real-time remote monitoring and control of UGVs in dynamic battlefield environments.Experimental results indicate that the proposed system achieves high stability,flexibility,and low latency.With a wireless link latency of 30 ms,the end-to-end video transmission latency remains around 140 ms,enabling smooth video communication.The system can tolerate packet loss rates(PLR)of up to 20%while maintaining usable video quality(with latency around 200 ms).These properties make it well-suited for mobile communication scenarios demanding high real-time video performance. 展开更多

Aiming at the characteristics of complex logic relation and multiple dynamic gates in system,its failure probability model is established based on dynamic fault tree. For the multi-state dynamic fault tree,it can be transferred into Markov chain with continuous parameters. The state transfer diagram can be decomposed into several state transfer chains,and the failure probability models can be derived according to the lengths of the chains. Then,the failure probability of the dynamic fault tree analysis(DFTA) can be obtained by adding each chain's probability. The failure probability calculation of DFTA based on the continuous parameter Markov chain is proposed and proved. Given an example,the analytic method is compared with the conventional methods which have to solve the differential equation. It is known from the results that the analytic method can be applied to engineering easily. 展开更多

Output Linearization of Single-Input Single-Output Fuzzy System to Improve Accuracy and Performance

For fuzzy systems to be implemented effectively,the fuzzy membership function(MF)is essential.A fuzzy system(FS)that implements precise input and output MFs is presented to enhance the performance and accuracy of single-input single-output(SISO)FSs and introduce the most applicable input and output MFs protocol to linearize the fuzzy system’s output.Utilizing a variety of non-linear techniques,a SISO FS is simulated.The results of FS experiments conducted in comparable conditions are then compared.The simulated results and the results of the experimental setup agree fairly well.The findings of the suggested model demonstrate that the relative error is abated to a sufficient range(≤±10%)and that the mean absolute percentage error(MPAE)is reduced by around 66.2%.The proposed strategy to reduceMAPE using an FS improves the system’s performance and control accuracy.By using the best input and output MFs protocol,the energy and financial efficiency of every SISO FS can be improved with very little tuning of MFs.The proposed fuzzy system performed far better than other modern days approaches available in the literature. 展开更多

Concerning the issue of high-dimensions and low-failure probabilities including implicit and highly nonlinear limit state function, reliability analysis based on the directional importance sampling in combination with the radial basis function (RBF) neural network is used, and the RBF neural network based on first-order reliability method (FORM) is to approximate the unknown implicit limit state functions and calculate the most probable point (MPP) with iterative algorithm. For good efficiency, based on the ideas that directional sampling reduces dimensionality and importance sampling focuses on the domain contributing to failure probability, the joint probability density function of importance sampling is constructed, and the sampling center is moved to MPP to ensure that more random sample points draw belong to the failure domain and the simulation efficiency is improved. Then the numerical example of initiating explosive devices for rocket booster explosive bolts demonstrates the applicability, versatility and accuracy of the approach compared with other reliability simulation algorithm. 展开更多

Due to the limited transmission resources for data relay in the tracking and data relay satellite system (TDRSS), there are many job requirements in busy days which will be discarded in the conventional job scheduling model. Therefore, the improvement of scheduling efficiency in the TDRSS can not only help to increase the resource utilities, but also to reduce the scheduling failure ratio. A model of nonhomogeneous parallel machines scheduling problems with time window (NPM-TW) is firstly built up for the TDRSS, considering the distinct features of the variable preparation time and the nonhomogeneous transmission rates for different types of antennas on each tracking and data relay satellite (TDRS). Then, an adaptive subsequence adjustment (ASA) framework with evolutionary asymmetric path-relinking (EvAPR) is proposed to solve this problem, in which an asymmetric progressive crossover operation is involved to overcome the local optima by the conventional job inserting methods. The numerical results show that, compared with the classical greedy randomized adaptive search procedure (GRASP) algorithm, the scheduling failure ratio of jobs can be reduced over 11% on average by the proposed ASA with EvAPR. 展开更多

Due to its high strength,high density,high hardness and good penetration capabilities,Depleted uranium alloys have already shined in armor-piercing projectiles.There should also be a lot of room for improvement in the application of fragment killing elements.Therefore,regarding the performance of the depleted uranium alloy to penetrate the target plate,further investigation is needed to analyze its advantages and disadvantages compared to tungsten alloy.To study the difference in penetration performance between depleted uranium alloy and tungsten alloy fragments,firstly,a theoretical analysis of the adiabatic shear sensitivity of DU and tungsten alloys was given from the perspective of material constitutive model.Then,taking the cylindrical fragment penetration target as the research object,the penetration process and velocity characteristics of the steel target plates penetrated by DU alloy fragment and tungsten alloy fragment were compared and analyzed,by using finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA and Lagrange algorithm.Lastly,the influence of different postures when impacting target and different fragment shapes on the penetration results is carried out in the research.The results show that in the penetration process of the DU and tungsten alloy fragments,the self-sharpening properties of the DU alloy can make the fragment head sharper and the penetrating ability enhance.Under the same conditions,the penetration capability of cylindrical fragment impacting target in vertical posture is better than that in horizontal posture,and the penetration capability of the spherical fragment is slightly better than that of cylindrical fragment. 展开更多

Herein linear and nonlinear dynamic rheological responses of carbon black/silica hybrid filler filling nature rubber compounds are investigated. The rheological contributions of dynamically retarded bulk phase and filler network are revealed to be crucial at high and low frequencies, respectively, and the bulk phase is shown to be of vital importance for the occurrence of nonlinear Payne effect at mediate frequencies. A framework for simultaneously solving reinforcement and dissipation varying with filler composition and content is suggested, providing a new perspective in understanding the filling effect for manufacturing high-performance rubber materials. 展开更多

We investigated the solid–liquid suspension characteristics in the tank with a liquid height/tank diameter ratio of 1.5 stirred by a novel long-short blades(LSB) impeller by the Euler granular flow model coupled with the standard k–ε turbulence model. After validation of the local solid holdup by experiments,numerical predictions have been successfully used to explain the influences of impeller rotating speed,particle density, particle size, liquid viscosity and initial solid loading on the solid suspension behavior,i.e. smaller particles with lower density are more likely to be suspended evenly in the liquid with higher liquid viscosity. At a low impeller rotating speed(N), increase in N leads to an obvious improvement in the solid distribution homogeneity. Moreover, the proposed LSB impeller has obvious advantages in the uniform distribution of the solid particles compared with single Rushton turbine(RT), dual RT impellers or CBY hydrofoil impeller under the same power consumption. 展开更多

As a cultural concept refl ecting the relationship between humans and forests,forest culture plays an active role in sustainable forest management.Forest parks provide a wide range of ecosystem services essential for the sustainable development of society,and the relationships between forest culture,green construction and management of forest parks have practical signifi cance.This study aimed to understand the interaction and process of forest culture infl uencing green construction and management in forest parks with the models Knowledge-Attitude-Practice(KAP)and Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)by proposing a theoretical model.Four hypotheses were tested using data collected from 193 forest park employees in Heilongjiang Province,China.Our results show that forest culture had a signifi cant infl uence on green construction and forest management.In addition,subjective norm and perceived behavioral control directly impacted behavior in green construction and management of the forest park,whereas attitude did not have an impact.Subjective norm had a direct eff ect on attitude.Results between constructs show that forest culture had an indirect eff ect on planning and construction,and on ecological and economic management.Consequently,it supported three of four hypotheses within the proposed model in determining the infl uence of forest culture on green construction and management. 展开更多

In this paper, an adaptive estimation algorithm is proposed for non-linear dynamic systems with unknown static parameters based on combination of particle filtering and Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approxi- mation (SPSA) technique. The estimations of parameters are obtained by maximum-likelihood estimation and sampling within particle filtering framework, and the SPSA is used for stochastic optimization and to approximate the gradient of the cost function. The proposed algorithm achieves combined estimation of dynamic state and static parameters of nonlinear systems. Coupling these aerodynamic coefficients with the plumb plane ballistic equations, the extended flight range has been calculated. A theoretical framework of nonlinear flight control for a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle(FAHV)is proposed in this paper.In order to suppress the system uncertainty and external disturbance,an uncertainty and disturbance estimator(UDE)based back-stepping control strategy is designed for a dynamic state-feedback controller to provide stable velocity and altitude tracking.Firstly,the longitudinal dynamics of FAHV is simplified into a closure loop form with lumped uncertainty and disturbance.Then the UDE is applied to estimate the lumped uncertainty and disturbance for the purpose of control input compensation.While a nonlinear tracking differentiator is introduced to solve the problem of“explosion of term”in the back-stepping control.The stability of the UDE-based control strategy is proved by using Lyapunov stability theorem.Finally,simulation results are presented to demonstrate the capacity of the proposed control strategy. 展开更多

Prognosis is a key technology to improve reliability,safety and maintainability of products,a lot of researchers have been devoted to this technology.But to improve the predict accuracy of remaining life of products has been difficult.To predict the lifetime specification of pneumatic cylinders with high reliability and long lifetime and small specimen,this paper put forward the prognosis algorithm based on the path classification and estimation(PACE) model.PACE model is based entirely on failure data instead of failure threshold.Pneumatic cylinders normally characterize with failure mechanism wear and tear.Since the minimum working pressure increases with the number of working cycles,the minimum working pressure is chosen as degradation signal.PACE model is fundamentally composed of two operations:path classification and remaining useful life(RUL) estimation.Path classification is to classify a current degradation path as belonging to one or more of previously collected exemplary degradation paths.RUL estimation is to use the resulting memberships to estimate the remaining useful life.In order for verification and validation of PACE prognostic method,six pneumatic cylinders are tested.The test data is analyzed by PACE prognostics.It is found that the PACE based prognosis method has higher prediction accuracy and smaller variance and PACE model is significantly outperform population based prognostics especially for small specimen condition.PACE model based method solved the problem of prediction accuracy for small specimen pneumatic cylinders' prognosis. 展开更多

In-situ exploration of asteroid surfaces is of great scientific significance.Internally actuated rovers have been released to asteroid surfaces but without enough controllability.To investigate the attitude control characteristics of the cubic rover for asteroid surface exploration,a series of experiments are carried out using the self-designed rover and the low-gravity testbed.The experiments focus on two major themes:The minimum flywheel speed for cubic rover to produce a walking motion in different conditions,and the relationship between the rover’s rotation angle and the flywheel speed in twisting motion.The rover’s dynamical descriptions of the walking and twisting motions are first derived.The features and design of the low-gravity testbed are then summarized,including its dynamics,setup,and validation.A detailed comparison between the dynamic model and the experimental results is presented,which provides a basic reference of the cubic rover’s attitude control in low-gravity environments. 展开更多

Taking into consideration the disadvantage of Balanced Scorecard(BSC)not being able to reflect time delay,nonlinear problems of causal relationship and being lack of effective simulation,we combined it with the characteristics of the System Dynamics(SD).Basing on the background of manufacturing enterprises,through SD integrating with the BSC we established a new performance evaluation method-SD-BSC method to overcome the disadvantage of BSC.A performance evaluation model of SD-BSC is provided and the simulation results are analyzed which show different production policies will lead to different customer's satisfaction degrees.The SD-BSC dynamic performance evaluation method can reflect dynamic,complex causal feedback relationship and time delay,so it compensates for the disadvantage of traditional financial performance evaluation method,and at the same time makes the BSC perfect. 展开更多

The scheduling efficiency of the tracking and data relay satellite system(TDRSS)is strictly limited by the scheduling degrees of freedom(DoF),including time DoF defined by jobs' flexible time windows and spatial DoF brought by multiple servable tracking and data relay satellites(TDRSs).In this paper,ageneralized multiple time windows(GMTW)model is proposed to fully exploit the time and spatial DoF.Then,the improvements of service capability and job-completion probability based on the GMTW are theoretically proved.Further,an asymmetric path-relinking(APR)based heuristic job scheduling framework is presented to maximize the usage of DoF provided by the GMTW.Simulation results show that by using our proposal 11%improvement of average jobcompletion probability can be obtained.Meanwhile,the computing time of the time-to-target can be shorten to 1/9 of the GRASP. 展开更多
