A mathematic model is built up to analyze the influences of a pilot valve'sleakage on the performances of pneumatic pressure proportional valve, and the performances aresimulated by using MATLAB. The results indicate that using slide pilot valve in the valve system isfeasible, but the leakage's influences can not be neglected, especially it may induce instability ina low output pressure situation. A pilot valve using too large throttle window will cause the valveoscillate. To improve the working condition of pilot valve, a method adopting different widths oftwo throttle window is proposed. According to our simulation, this method balances the pressure dropbetween the two stage throttle ports, and reduces the influences of pilot valve's leakage. 展开更多

Performance of giant magnetostrictive material (GMM) is introduced. Principleof work, basic structure and key techniques of giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA) are analyzed.Its dynamic models of magneto-mechanical coupling are established. The structure and principle ofthe pneumatic servo valve and the micro pipe robot with new homemade GMM are presented. Theexperiment is carried out under typical working conditions. The experiment results show that the GMMpneumatic servo valve has wide pressure control characteristics, good linearity, and fast responsespeed. The movement principles of the GMM robot system are reliably feasible and its maximal movingspeed is about 8 mm/s. It is preferable to the driving frequency of the robot within 100 approx 300Hz. 展开更多

The aim of this study is to suppress a cavitation near the orifice of arelief valve by changing the shape of a poppet. An experimental flow visualization technique and anumerical cavitating flow simulation, using a RNG kappa-epsilon turbulence model and a cavitationmodel, are employed to achieve the purpose. In the flow visualization, the cavitation phenomenonnear the orifice of a relief valve is observed using a transparent test valve body model and acamera. On the other hand, a three dimensional cavitating flow simulation is conducted to predictthe cavitation near the orifice of a relief valve. Six types of poppets are designed by changing theshape of a traditional poppet shape, which is expected to influence the cavitating flow in anorifice. In addition, the cavitation noise of a relief valve is measured and the noise spectrum isanalyzed. In conclusion, the cavitation intensity and the cavitation noise are reduced for anoptimal poppet geometry obtained in the present study. 展开更多

Sincethe dynamics of the system are highly nonlinear and have large extent of model uncertainties, suchas big changes in load and parameters, a derivation and integral sliding mode variable structurecontrol scheme (DI-SVSC) is proposed. An integral controller is introduced to avoid the assumptionthat the derivative of desired signal must be known in conventional sliding mode variable structurecontrol, a nonlinear derivation controller is used to weaken the chattering of system. The designmethod of switching function in integral sliding mode control, nonlinear derivation coefficient andcontrollers of DI-SVSC is presented respectively. Simulation shows that the control approach is ofnice robustness and improves velocity tracking accuracy considerably. 展开更多

The influences of pipes and load on dynamic characteristics ofload-sensing system are studied by series of step response experiments. Experimental results showthat the feedback pipe makes the most important influence on the dynamic response speed ofload-sensing system. Its internal diameter should be optimized for given length of pipe. On theother hand, the stability of load-sensing pump is improved as the length of input pipe increases ina certain range. The influence of input pipe on the dynamic response speed is caused mainly by thepressure-wave travel time in the input pipe. 展开更多

Aimed at the large distortion of the off-the-shelf cameras, anew camera distortion rectification technology based on line-rectification is proposed. Afull-camera-distortion model is introduced and a linear algorithm is provided to obtain thesolution. After the camera rectification intrinsic and extrinsic parameters are obtained based onthe relationship between the homograph and absolute conic. This technology needs neither ahigh-accuracy three-dimensional calibration block, nor a complicated translation or rotationplatform. Sealing performance of the reciprocating seals on a larger diameter (100 mmin diameter) axial piston is theoretically investigated. Based on the characteristics of theclearance flow between the seal and the piston, reasonable boundary conditions for Navier-Stokesequations are determined and the equations are modified, so that the final equations can describethe real flow state of the clearance flow. Through combining the final equations with finite elementmethod, the pressure distributions within the clearance field during the reciprocating motion ofthe piston and the leakage rate with the pressure are studied. The deflections of the seal whichaffect sealing performance are calculated as well. Sealing performance of piston seals using oil asthe working liquid is compared with using water. It is concluded that the seal using water as theworking liquid is under dry friction, which cannot be dealt with the theory of fluid mechanics. Theseal structure is only acceptable using oil as the working liquid.. 展开更多

As a key to the system, the XML based ontology ofresources/modules/peers is discussed, so do the model for dynamically allocating of resources, basedon which the coordination among modules or peers can then be implemented. Then the rotational and translational dispersion coefficientsof particle were derived. The relationships between the dispersion, coefficients and flow lengthscale as well as particle characteristic parameters were analyzed. The resulting dispersioncoefficients were proved to decrease as the particle length increases. In the non-spherical particulate turbulent flows, a set of new fluidfluctuating velocity equations with the non-spherical particle source term were derived, then a newmethod, which treats the slowly varying functions and rapidly varying functions separately, wasproposed to solve the equations, and finally the turbulent intensity and the Reynolds stress of theflu-id were obtained by calculating the fluctuating velocity statlsti-cally. The equations andmethod were used to a paniculate tur-bulent pipe flow. The results show that the turbulent intensityand the Reynolds stress are decreased almost inverse proportion-ally to the fluctuating velocityratio of particle to fluid. Non-spherical particles have a greater suppressing effect on thetur-bulence than the spherical particles. The particles with short re-laxation time reduce theturbulence intensity of fluid, while the particles with long relaxation time increase the turbulenceinten-sity of fluid. For fixed particle and fluid, the small particles sup-press the turbulence andthe large particles increase the turbu-ience. 展开更多

The departure of the theoretical prediction from the measured data increases with the decrease of the fiber aspect ratio. Therefore, by experi-ment for the fiber with 20 mm diameter, a new expression for the effective viscosity in the semi-dilute shear flows of fiber suspension with small aspect ratio is proposed, the relation-ship between the shear viscosity of fiber suspensions and the fiber concentration is given.
