BACKGROUND Surgery is often indicated for patients with massively prolapsed intervertebral disc herniation.The interlaminar endoscopic spine system(iLESSYS)Delta 6-mm working channel endoscope has advantages over othe...BACKGROUND Surgery is often indicated for patients with massively prolapsed intervertebral disc herniation.The interlaminar endoscopic spine system(iLESSYS)Delta 6-mm working channel endoscope has advantages over other systems.The aim of this study was to explore the benefits and complications of using the iLESSYS Delta for the treatment of massively prolapsed intervertebral disc herniation.AIM To explore the clinical benefits of treating massively prolapsed lumbar intervertebral disc herniation with the iLESSYS Delta endoscope.METHODS In this study,the data of 37 patients who underwent surgery with the iLESSYS Delta endoscope at The Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University were retrospectively analyzed.Intraoperative blood loss,operation time,and complications were collected.The visual analog scale(VAS),oswestry disability index(ODI),and modified MacNab criteria were determined before and at 1 d,3 mo,and 6 mo after surgery.RESULTS The mean intraoperative blood loss was 20.4±1.2 mL.The mean operation time was 97.3±12.4 min.The VAS scores for leg and back pain decreased from 68.0±7.3,34.4±8.5 before operation to 2.5±1.7,5.5±1.9 at 6 mo after surgery,respectively.The ODI also decreased from 60.2±7.3 to 17.9±3.4 at 6 mo after surgery.The improvement rate of the MacNab score was 86.4%,which was considered excellent.No spinal dural injury,nerve root injury,secondary protrusion of intervertebral disc,or myeloid hypertension was found during follow-up.CONCLUSION The iLESSYS Delta 6-mm working channel endoscope has several advantages in terms of clinical and functional benefits,complications,and low risk of residual vertebral pulp in treating patients with massively prolapsed intervertebral disc herniation.展开更多
Objective:To analyze the effect and medical sclf-crosslinking sodium hyaluronate gel on epidural scar adhesion after laminectomy.Methods:A total of 24 New Zealand L5 laminectomy rabbits were randomly divided into four...Objective:To analyze the effect and medical sclf-crosslinking sodium hyaluronate gel on epidural scar adhesion after laminectomy.Methods:A total of 24 New Zealand L5 laminectomy rabbits were randomly divided into four groups,group A as the control group without any treatment:group B covered by sodium hyaluronate gel;group C and group D covered by 0.5 and1.0 mL medical self-crosslinking sodium hyaluronate gel.All rabbits were scored at various time points after 2.4,6,8,12 weeks,then the formation of scar was observed.Results:In Groups B,C,D loose scar tissue occurred after 2 weeks of the operation,scar tissues were significantly less than that in group A,with mild inflammatory reaction.After 8 weeks,the scar tissues of group B were significantly more than that of groups C,D.After two weeks,group B,C were back to the preoperative level;After 4 weeks,group D was back to the preoperative level;After four weeks,the CSEP of group A was increased significantly,which was significantly higher than that in groups B,C,D.The motor function score of group A,group B and group C were the same as preoperative,but that in group D it was decreased significantly,and then it gradually recovered.After 4 weeks it kept a stable level.The motor function score of group A was decreased gradually after the operation,which kept a stable level after 4 weeks,the motor function score was significantly lower man that in groups B,C,D.Conclusions:Determination of somatosensory evoked potentials is sensitive indicator of spinal cord injury;Application of medical selfcrosslinking sodium hyaluronate gel is effective on epidural scar adhesion after laminectomy.展开更多

Methods: we searched Pubmed Database, ChinaBiomedical Literature Database, VIP Database, ChinaNet for studies. Then evaluated these studies in order to findthe researches in line with the requirements of the study; Each relevant research was carefully read to extractrelevant data; The current perception threshold (CPT) value of median nerve and sural nerve were compared at2000Hz, 250Hz and 5Hz between patients with DPN and the normal control group. Results: Finally 10 articles thatmeet the standards were included, with 1054 cases in the patient group and 719 cases in the normal group. The CPTvalues of median nerve and sural nerve at 2000 Hz, 250 Hz and 5 Hz of patients group were higher than those ofnormal control group (P 〈0.05 for all). Conclusion: Systematic reviews showed that the sensitivity of the mediannerve and sural nerve in DPN patients was generally reduced. Sensory nerve quantitative detector could detectnerve damage early, accurately and monitor the effect treatment in patients with DPN.展开更多

Methods: Tuina plus traction was applied to 40 teenagers with cervical distortion once every other day, and 10 days make up 1 treatment course. The therapeutic effect was evaluated after 2 courses. Result: Significant changes occurred after the treatment: 15 cases got correction, 20 cases got substantial improvement and 5 cases got certain improvement. Conclusion: Tuina plus traction works effectively for abnormal cervical physiological curve in teenagers.展开更多
