Based on 3-D modeling software, a digital design system for hull structures was developed. Basic software systems for modeling, modifying, and assembly simulation were developed. The system has good compatibility, and models created by it can be saved in different 3-D file formats, and 2D engineering drawings can be output directly. The model can be modified dynamically, overcoming the necessity of repeated modifications during hull structural design. Through operations such as model construction, intervention inspection, and collision detection, problems can be identified and modified during the hull structural design stage. Technologies for centralized control of the system, database management, and 3-D digital design are integrated into this digital model in the preliminary design stage of shipbuilding.展开更多
Ship and offshore structure often work in very severe environment.Therefore routine inspection and maintenance are essential to keep ship structure and equipment in good state,and can decrease the possibility of sea p...Ship and offshore structure often work in very severe environment.Therefore routine inspection and maintenance are essential to keep ship structure and equipment in good state,and can decrease the possibility of sea pollution and safety problems.Besides that,the activity of inspection and maintenance is also directly connected with cost control and condition assessment.Current inspection is still mainly based on paper and pen,so it is rather time-consuming for transferring inspection data from paper to computer system,and more diffcult to make calculation based on the inspection records.In this paper,the concept of information integration model and inspection support system using mobile device is introduced.The structuralized data in the information integration model offer much convenience to data transferring.The inspection support system consists of one headquarter management subsystem and one inspector handling subsystem.A mechanism of data exchange between the two subsystems is developed based on standard inspection workflow.The headquarter subsystem works on computer,and the inspector subsystem is mobile application instead of paper and pen.Versatile tests and platform experiments are carried out to demonstrate and confirm the feasibility and validity.展开更多

A GAs-based fully fuzzy optimal time-cost trade-off model is presented based on fuzzy sets and genetic algorithms (GAs). In tihs model all parameters and variables are characteristics by fuzzy numbers. And then GAs is adopted to search for the optimal solution to this model. The method solves the time-cost trade-off problems under an uncertain environment and is proved practicable through a giving example in ship building scheduling.展开更多

The system captured stereo image sequences by two separate CCD cameras, and then rebuilt 3D coordinates of the feature points to analyze the jacket launch motion. In order to obtain a hull form with the minimum wave making resistance, an optimization design method base...The hull form optimization concerns one of the most important applications of wave making resistance theories. In order to obtain a hull form with the minimum wave making resistance, an optimization design method based on the CFD is proposed, which combines the Rankine source method with the nonlinear programming (NLP). The bow-body shape is optimized with the minimum wave making resistance as the objective function. A hull form modification function is introduced to represent an improved hull surface, which can be used to generate a new smooth hull surface by multiplying it by the offset data of the original hull surface. The parameters of the hull form modification function are taken as the design variables. Other constraint conditions can also be considered, for example, in optimizing the lines of the bow, appropriate displacements can be taken as the basic constraints. S60 hull form is selected as the original hull. Three improved hulls are obtained by optimal design. Rankine source method proves to be an effective method in ship form optimization based on analysis of the resistance performance and lines of the improved hull.展开更多
