The epizoic diatoms,especifically those living at the body surface of copepods has not garnered sufficient attention.This study focuses on the copepod Pseudodiaptomus annandalei and three epizoic diatom species isolat...The epizoic diatoms,especifically those living at the body surface of copepods has not garnered sufficient attention.This study focuses on the copepod Pseudodiaptomus annandalei and three epizoic diatom species isolated from its body surface:Pseudofalcula hyalina,Haslea sp.,and Tabularia sp.The research explored the physiological and biochemical characteristics of diatoms under co cultivation conditions with P.annandalei and different species of epizoic diatoms,along with variations in copepod survival rates.Results reveal that the growth rate,cell density,and chlorophyll-a content of the three epizoic diatoms were enhanced by P.annandalei.The photosynthesis of epizoic diatoms,particularly the photochemical efficiency of PSⅡ(F_(v)/F_(m))of P.hyalina was positively influenced by P.annandalei.The impact of P.annandalei on biochemical compositions exhibited species-specific characteristics.Under co-culture conditions,the content of polysaccharides and proteins in the colloidal exopolymeric substance(CEPS)of P.hyalina and Haslea sp.increased,so did the intracellular protein content of Tabularia sp.The attachment of P.hyalina was most significantly influenced by P.annandalei,followed by Haslea sp.,and then Tabularia sp.,likely due to the increased uronic acid content of P.hyalina under co-culture conditions.Moreover,the three epizoic diatoms might have served as food sources for P.annandalei,as evidenced by the higher survival of copepods.The release of nitrate and phosphate from P.annandalei contributed to the nutrition for the growth of epizoic diatoms,indicating that the bottom-up effect resulting from P.annandalei excretion nutrition was greater than the top-down effect from predation.展开更多

The interrupted creep tests were performed on a typical RPV material, SA508 Gr3 steel, at 800 ℃. The microstructure of different creep stages was examined by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that the microscopic damage is mainly induced by creep cavities and coarse second-phase particles. Furthermore, the volume fractions of creep cavities and coarse second-phase particles show a linear relationship with the extended creep time. The second-phase particles are determined to be MoC in the second creep stage and Mo2C in the third creep stage, according to the results of selected-area electron diffraction pattern. Combined with energy-dispersive spectrum analysis, the segregation of precipitates caused by the migration of atoms is finally unveiled, which leads to the coarsening of the particles.展开更多

The development of luminescent materials with excitation-dependent emission is essential for the applications of anti-counterfeiting and information security.However,this unique property has not yet been achieved due ...The development of luminescent materials with excitation-dependent emission is essential for the applications of anti-counterfeiting and information security.However,this unique property has not yet been achieved due to the ubiquitously accepted Kasha’s rule.Herein,cytosine(Cyt)is protonated as a countercation to construct a zero-dimensional(CytH)_(2)SnCl_(6) that emits a green afterglow for up to 1.0 s at room temperature.Upon doping with Te^(4+),(CytH)_(2)SnCl_(6):x%Te exhibits excitation-dependent emission because of the different optimal excitation wavelengths for the dual emissive centers CytH^(+)(approximately 350 nm)and Te^(4+)(approximately 330 and 390 nm).Moreover,the overlapping between the emission of CytH^(+)and absorption of Te^(4+)induces efficient resonant triplet energy transfer from CytH^(+)to Te^(4+),resulting in a tunable persistence time for the green afterglow produced by CytH^(+).Using excitationdependent emission and tunable afterglow persistence time,the potential of(CytH)_(2)SnCl_(6):x%Te was demonstrated in the application of anti-counterfeiting and information encryption.This study provides an effective strategy for endowing metal halide hybrids with multicolor luminescence.展开更多
