On May 6, 2009, the X-ray imaging and biomedical application beamline(BL13W1) at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF) officially opened to users, with 8–72.5 ke V X-rays. The experimental station is equipped... On May 6, 2009, the X-ray imaging and biomedical application beamline(BL13W1) at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF) officially opened to users, with 8–72.5 ke V X-rays. The experimental station is equipped with four sets of X-ray CCD detectors of different pixel size(0.19–24 μm) for on-line phase-contrast imaging and micro-CT imaging with 0.8 μm spatial resolution and 1 ms temporal resolution. An in vivo microCT experiment for a living insect was realized in 4 s. An X-ray fluorescence detector is equipped for X-ray fluorescence mapping imaging and X-ray fluorescence micro-CT imaging with 50 μm spatial resolution. In order to meet different requirements from the users, several experimental methods, such as X-ray spiral micro-CT, Xray local micro-CT, X-ray fast micro-CT, X-ray grating-based differential micro-CT, X-ray fluorescence microCT and X-ray quantitative micro-CT have been developed, and nearly 60 papers related to those developments for this beamline have been published. Moreover, the beamline has realized the remote fast CT reconstruction,providing a great convenience for the users to process experimental data at their offices. As of August 2014,the beamline has offered the user beamtime of(23 145 h), from which 232 user papers have been published,including 151 SCI papers and 55 papers with SCI impact factor > 3. The quantity and quality of the user paper outcome keep a steady increase. Some typical user experimental results are introduced. 展开更多

This paper introduces some latest developments regarding the X-ray imaging methodology and applications of the X-ray imaging and biomedical application beamline(BL13W1)at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility in the past 5 years.The photon energy range of the beamline is 8–72.5 keV.Several sets of X-ray imaging detectors with different pixel sizes(0.19–24 lm)are used to realize X-ray microcomputed tomography(X-ray micro-CT)and X-ray in-line phase-contrast imaging.To satisfy the requirements of user experiments,new X-ray imaging methods and image processing techniques are developed.In vivo dynamic micro-CT experiments with living insects are performed in 0.5 s(sampling rate of 2 Hz,2 tomograms/s)with a monochromatic beam from a wiggler source and in 40 ms(sampling rate of 25 Hz,25 tomograms/s)with a white beam from a bending magnet source.A new X-ray imaging method known as move contrast X-ray imaging is proposed,with which blood flow and moving tissues in raw images can be distinguished according to their moving frequencies in the time domain.Furthermore,X-ray speckle-tracking imaging with twice exposures to eliminate the edge enhancement effect is developed.A high-precision quantification method is realized to measure complex three-dimensional blood vessels obtained via X-ray micro-CT.X-ray imaging methods such as three-dimensional X-ray diffraction microscopy,small-angle X-ray scattering CT,and X-ray fluorescence CT are developed,in which the X-ray micro-CT imaging method is combined with other contrast mechanisms such as diffraction,scattering,and fluorescence contrasts respectively.Moreover,an X-ray nano-CT experiment is performed with a 100 nm spatial resolution.Typical user experimental results from the fields of material science,biomedicine,paleontology,physics,chemistry,and environmental science obtained on the beamline are provided. 展开更多

Suppressing the coffee ring effect(CRE)of an aqueous suspension through manipulation without affecting the remaining deposit is highly desirable for practical applications;however,this is extremely challenging.Here,we demonstrate CRE suppression with undetectable disturbance of the deposit on carbon-based surfaces.This was achieved by adding ammonium bicarbonate(NH4HCO_(3)),which benefits from the dissociation of NH_(4)HCO_(3) to produce NH_(4)^(+),as well as its decomposition into NH_(3) and CO_(2) molecules.Surprisingly,NH_(4)^(+) can also function as Na^(+)/K^(+)to suppress the CRE through cation interactions,although its hydrate state is only partially positively charged.Moreover,we successfully applied this approach to enhance the morphology,resistance,and color uniformity of deposits of graphene oxide quantum dots,conductive inks,and organic dyes,respectively.This study provides a practical strategy for improving the performance of fabricated devices and paves the way for the development of high-accuracy manufacturing techniques in diverse industries. 展开更多

氦低温系统作为超导磁体、粒子加速器等大型科学装置的核心支撑系统,其供配电系统的安全性、稳定性及能效性直接影响低温系统的可靠运行。以硬X射线自由电子激光装置的低温工厂为例,系统探讨了高/低压供配电架构设计、选择性保护参数设... 氦低温系统作为超导磁体、粒子加速器等大型科学装置的核心支撑系统,其供配电系统的安全性、稳定性及能效性直接影响低温系统的可靠运行。以硬X射线自由电子激光装置的低温工厂为例,系统探讨了高/低压供配电架构设计、选择性保护参数设定及工艺接地优化等关键技术。通过分级配电(10kV配电站、10/0.4kV变电站、终端用电设备)实现电能高效分配,并结合短路电流计算、设备校验以及防雷接地设计,构建了安全冗余的供配电体系。研究结果表明,所设计的保护参数(如长延时电流设定为1.15倍额定值,瞬时保护阈值高于软启动峰值电流)可有效保障压缩机启停及运行稳定性,同时接地电阻值(≤1Ω)与防雷措施满足安全规范。 展开更多

Intercalation of rare-earth(RE)into Pt offers an option to optimize the electronic structure of Pt-based catalysts by interaction effect,in which the synergistic catalytic sites are of great significance,yet the underpinning mechanism remains elusive.Herein,the introduction of silanol nests enables the alloy formation on the SiO_(2)surface.The amination modification is disclosed to induce the electron transfer from RE to Pt and weaken the adsorption of CO on electron-rich Pt species.In situ/operando spectroscopic analyses in conjunction with density functional theory calculations demonstrate the electronic couple of Pt atoms and adjacent Ce atoms concurrently achieves the enhancement of CO oxidation and suppression of H_(2)oxidation.Additionally,CO_(2)is readily desorbed from the Pt_(5)Ce(111)surface to enhance intrinsic activity and longevity.These findings provide an atomic-level insight into the synergistic catalytic sites on regulating the electronic state of the Pt-RE alloy catalysts toward highly selective oxidation reactions. 展开更多

Perovskite solar cells(PSC)are considered as a promising photovoltaic technology due to their low cost and high efficiency exceeding 26.8%.Ultra-lightweight flexible perovskite solar cells(FPSCs)can be applied to many fields such as architecture and portable devices.Although the photovoltaic conversion efficiency(PCE)of FPSC has exceeded 24%in the past few years,further application of FPSC is constrained by the challenges posed by limitation of critical material components.Here,we discussed recent research progress of key FPSC materials,mechanical endurance,low-temperature fabrication,etc.With the advantages of high brightness,collimation and resolution,we specially introduced the application of synchrotron radiation grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering(GIWAXS)to directly observe the perovskite buried interface structure and corresponding mechanical stability of FPSCs without any damage.Finally,we summarize the challenges and propose an outlook about the large-scale preparation of efficient and stable FPSC modules. 展开更多

Lead-tin(Pb-Sn)perovskites with an ideal bandgap of 1.34-1.40 eV show great promise in perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Recently,to address the environmental pollution and Sn^(2+)oxidation problems of dimethyl sulfoxide,methylammonium acetate(MAAc)ionic liquid has been developed as an alternative to fabricate ideal bandgap MAPb_(0.7)Sn_(0.3)I_(3)(1.36 eV)film via hot-casting in air.However,the spontaneous crystallization of Pb-Sn perovskite initiated by heat-induced supersaturation is fast and random,setting critical challenges in regulating crystal growth during the film-forming process.Herein,a lattice activation strategy is developed to control the crystallization dynamics of MAPb_(0.7)Sn_(0.3)I_(3)in MAAc to produce films with micrometer-sized grains in air.FA is shown to activate the crystal lattice that facilitates the formation of intermediates and balances the crystal growth of MAPb_(0.7)Sn_(0.3)I_(3),producing films with a grain size of 2.78±0.17μm.Furthermore,4-fluoro-phenethylammonium and phenethylammonium are adopted to passivate the defects in the film and promote the energy level alignment at the top interface,respectively.The optimized PSC device achieved an efficiency of 18.24%with a short-circuit current of 29.84 mA/cm^(2),which are both the highest values in 1.36 eV Pb-Sn PSCs to date.Notably,the unencapsulated devices show excellent storage and air stability under various conditions. 展开更多

Some optics parameters of the storage ring were measured when commissioning. This report presents the common methods for measuring some optics parameters of the storage ring, including the betatron tune, beta function, chromaticity, natural chromaticity and dispersion. The results and analysis of measurement for the optics parameters are given here, which are indispensable for the orbit correction of the accelerator and the nonlinear optimization. 展开更多

溶液法是新型光电器件制备的重要手段,然而以钙钛矿半导体材料为代表的薄膜样品制备通常需要在手套箱环境下完成,传统的实验表征大多在空气环境下进行,这显然很难反映薄膜结构与器件性能间的真实关联,因此急需对溶液成膜过程的微结构演... 溶液法是新型光电器件制备的重要手段,然而以钙钛矿半导体材料为代表的薄膜样品制备通常需要在手套箱环境下完成,传统的实验表征大多在空气环境下进行,这显然很难反映薄膜结构与器件性能间的真实关联,因此急需对溶液成膜过程的微结构演变开展原位实时研究.为了实现溶液法成膜中的结构与形貌的同步辐射掠入射广角散射实时观测,本文结合上海同步辐射光源线站布局,报道了一种基于手套箱的原位成膜观测装置,可实现标准手套箱环境(c(H_(2)O,O_(2))<1×10^(-6))下远程控制薄膜旋涂、涂布及样品后处理,并实时可视化监测微结构和形貌演变.基于该装置进行的钙钛矿薄膜狭缝涂布大面积成膜结晶过程的原位GIWAXS/GISAXS(gtrazing incidence wide and small angle X-ray scattering)可视化测试揭示了薄膜微结构转变的内在驱动力:钙钛矿薄膜沉积界面层的优化对提升钙钛矿成核速率、诱导结晶择优取向、形成晶粒有序堆叠等具有“共性作用”,同时在成膜过程中的新生中间相显著提升软晶格薄膜质量和稳定性.基于各层均采用卷对卷全溶液狭缝涂布方法制备的大面积全柔性三维钙钛矿薄膜太阳能电池转换效率提升至5.23%(单个器件面积约15 cm^(2)),为迄今报道的这一体系该尺寸的全溶液狭缝涂布柔性钙钛矿器件的最高器件效率之一.因而,基于该同步辐射原位GIWAXS/S/GISAXS装置可以获得控制薄膜生长界面特性和薄膜品质的关键工艺,指导优化制备薄膜的最佳工艺条件. 展开更多

铁电材料是指在一定温度范围内具有自发极化,且极化方向能被外加电场改变的材料,而水是一种普遍存在的极性溶剂.由于极性作用,铁电材料与水及水溶液的界面存在着复杂的相互作用.理解这些物理过程以及机制对于理论研究和实际应用都具有... 铁电材料是指在一定温度范围内具有自发极化,且极化方向能被外加电场改变的材料,而水是一种普遍存在的极性溶剂.由于极性作用,铁电材料与水及水溶液的界面存在着复杂的相互作用.理解这些物理过程以及机制对于理论研究和实际应用都具有重要意义.本工作利用同步辐射衍射技术研究了(001)方向极化BaTiO_(3)单晶的表面结构,并且研究了不同pH值液体对表面结构的影响.结果表明,BaTiO_(3)单晶含有一个电子密度较小的表面层,并且由于极性的作用,BaTiO_(3)单晶表面吸附了2.6 nm的水层.表面滴加纯水后,BaTiO_(3)的表面层结构没有明显的改变.低温原位掠入射X射线衍射实验表明表面存在冰,进一步验证表面吸附水层的存在.pH=1的盐酸溶液也对BaTiO_(3)表面结构没有显著影响,可能是由于酸性溶液能稳定原有的极化方向.但pH=13的NaOH溶液可以使表面层变厚,可能由于碱性溶液可以使表面极化减弱,从而改变表面退极化场以及表面层厚度. 展开更多

Modulating perovskite crystallization and band alignment using coplanar molecules for high-performance indoor photovoltaics

The proper bandgap and exceptional photostability enable CsPbI_(3) as a potential candidate for indoor photovoltaics(IPVs),but indoor power conversion efficiency(PCE) is impeded by serious nonradiative recombination stemming from challenges in incomplete DMAPbI_(3) conversion and lattice structure distortion.Here,the coplanar symmetric structu re of hexyl sulfide(HS) is employed to functionalize the CsPbI_(3) layer for fabricating highly efficient IPVs.The hydrogen bond between HS and DMAI promotes the conversion of DMAPbI_(3) to CsPbI_(3),while the copianar symmetric structure enhances crystalline order.Simultaneously,surface sulfidation during HS-induced growth results in the in situ formation of PbS,spontaneously creating a CsPbI_(3) N-P homojunction to enhance band alignment and carrier mobility.As a result,the CsPbI_(3)&HS devices achieve an impressive indoor PCE of 39.90%(P_(in):334.6 μW cm^(-2),P_(out):133.5 μW cm^(-2)) under LED@2968 K,1062 lux,and maintain over 90% initial PCE for 800 h at ^(3)0% air ambient humidity. 展开更多

A considerable efficiency gap exists between large-area perovskite solar modules and small-area perovskite solar cells.The control of forming uniform and large-area film and perovskite crystallization is still the main obstacle restricting the efficiency of PSMs.In this work,we adopted a solid-liquid two-step film formation technique,which involved the evaporation of a lead iodide film and blade coating of an organic ammonium halide solution to prepare perovskite films.This method possesses the advantages of integrating vapor deposition and solution methods,which could apply to substrates with different roughness and avoid using toxic solvents to achieve a more uniform,large-area perovskite film.Furthermore,modification of the NiO_(x)/perovskite buried interface and introduction of Urea additives were utilized to reduce interface recombination and regulate perovskite crystallization.As a result,a large-area perovskite film possessing larger grains,fewer pinholes,and reduced defects could be achieved.The inverted PSM with an active area of 61.56 cm^(2)(10×10 cm^(2)substrate)achieved a champion power conversion efficiency of 20.56%and significantly improved stability.This method suggests an innovative approach to resolving the uniformity issue associated with large-area film fabrication. 展开更多

为了提高同步辐射红外光源的光子通量和亮度以及改善光学元件的热稳定性,同步辐射光源现多采用恒流注束(Top-Up)模式,以保持储存环内部束流的稳定.在增强器向储存环注束时,储存环电流的瞬时起伏及电子束团位置的变动等会使同步辐射红外... 为了提高同步辐射红外光源的光子通量和亮度以及改善光学元件的热稳定性,同步辐射光源现多采用恒流注束(Top-Up)模式,以保持储存环内部束流的稳定.在增强器向储存环注束时,储存环电流的瞬时起伏及电子束团位置的变动等会使同步辐射红外线站所用红外傅立叶变换(FTIR)光谱仪所采的干涉图上出现较大的波动,形成噪声;本文根据该噪声的特点,以及全域中值滤波算法处理该类型的噪声的不足,提出使用区域中值滤波算法对红外谱学线站使用的FTIR光谱仪所采的干涉图进行预处理,以消除由Top-Up模式引入的噪声的影响;并根据该型噪声的特点和区域中值滤波算法的处理过程,设计了一套去除由Top-Up模式引入的同步辐射红外谱学噪声的流程,使该区域中值滤波算法的处理过程无需人工干预;使用该区域中值滤波算法对具有该型噪声的干涉图进行了降噪处理,计算结果表明:使用该滤波算法可消除由Top-Up模式引入噪声的影响,提升Top-Up模式下所采光谱的信噪比. 展开更多

基于同步辐射X射线三维高精度原位成像技术,识别和统计出工艺稳定的激光复合焊接7020铝合金接头中的气孔数量、形貌、尺寸和空间分布特征,结合气孔统计数据结果和焊缝晶粒大小,定义了7020铝合金激光复合焊接头中影响接头疲劳性能的气孔... 基于同步辐射X射线三维高精度原位成像技术,识别和统计出工艺稳定的激光复合焊接7020铝合金接头中的气孔数量、形貌、尺寸和空间分布特征,结合气孔统计数据结果和焊缝晶粒大小,定义了7020铝合金激光复合焊接头中影响接头疲劳性能的气孔临界尺寸。利用同步辐射X射线三维原位疲劳实验数据和疲劳断口形貌,探讨了疲劳试样裂纹源处气孔尺寸、应力和疲劳寿命之间的定量关系。同时,基于有限元仿真分析,研究了不同位置下气孔处的应力场状态。最后,通过疲劳裂纹扩展速率实验,揭示了气孔对疲劳裂纹萌生、扩展和试样瞬断的影响。研究结果表明,激光复合焊接头临界气孔尺寸可定为30 mm;同步辐射X射线成像和疲劳断口显示,较大的表面气孔和近表面的气孔较容易萌生疲劳裂纹。仿真研究也表明,气孔周围的应力集中程度随着气孔位置由表面向内部移动呈现出先增大后减小最后趋于稳定的趋势;疲劳裂纹扩展速率数据分布趋势表明,气孔对长裂纹扩展过程的影响较小,可忽略不计,但一般认为对裂纹前缘形貌有较大影响。 展开更多

X射线荧光成像是一种可无损获得样品内部元素空间分布信息的实验技术,可分为荧光mapping扫描成像与荧光CT成像,其空间分辨率由X射线聚焦束斑的大小决定。上海光源成像线站已建立X射线荧光成像系统并对用户开放,在多个领域取得较好的研究成果,该系统基于狭缝限束获取微束X射线,束斑为150μm,限制了该方法的广泛应用。椭球聚焦镜是反射面为椭球面的单次反射单毛细管光学元件,基于全反射原理,具有反射效率高、工作距离长、接收角宽、适用X射线能量范围宽、体积小等优点,已应用到X射线聚焦、全场纳米成像等领域。由于对面型精度的要求较高,制备椭球聚焦镜难度较大。为满足广大用户对微束荧光成像的需求,自行设计并成功研制了针对微束荧光成像系统的单毛细管椭球镜,并对其进行了X射线聚焦性能检测,结果显示可获得14μm聚焦光斑,焦点处增益可达255倍。基于自主研制的椭球镜,在上海光源BL13W搭建微束X射线荧光成像系统,并开展了微束荧光mapping成像与微束荧光CT实验研究:(1)对中风鼠脑切片的荧光mapping扫描成像,得到中风鼠脑中微量元素铜、铁、钙与锌的元素分布荧光光谱图;(2)对鼠脑及毛细管中浓度为0.5 mg·L^-1的标准砷溶液进行同步辐射微束X射线荧光CT成像,利用OSEM重构算法重构投影数据,获得了鼠脑中铜元素和毛细管中砷元素二维分布的切片图。两组实验表明,基于自行设计与研制的单毛细管椭球镜的微束X射线荧光成像系统,样品处的光通量密度增加,空间分辨率得到提高,单张荧光光谱的获取时间显著减少,同时也提高了系统的元素探测限。 展开更多

The complete elimination of methylammonium(MA)cations in Sn-Pb composites can extend their light and thermal stabilities.Unfortunately,MA-free Sn-Pb alloyed perovskite thin films suffer from wrinkled surfaces and poor crystallization,due to the coexistence of mixed intermediate phases.Here,we report an additive strategy for finely regulating the impurities in the intermediate phase of Cs_(0.25)FA_(0.75)Pb_(0.6)Sn_(0.4)I_(3)and,thereby,obtaining high-performance solar cells.We introduced d-homoserine lactone hydrochloride(D-HLH)to form hydrogen bonds and strong Pb-O/Sn-O bonds with perovskite precursors,thereby weakening the incomplete complexation effect between polar aprotic solvents(e.g.,DMSO)and organic(FAI)or inorganic(CsI,PbI_(2),and SnI_(2))components,and balancing their nucleation processes.This treatment completely transformed mixed intermediate phases into pure preformed perovskite nuclei prior to thermal anneal-ing.Besides,this D-HLH substantially inhibited the oxidation of Sn^(2+) species.This strategy generated a record efficiency of 21.61%,with a Voc of 0.88 V for an MA-free Sn-Pb device,and an efficiency of 23.82%for its tandem device.The unencapsulated devices displayed impressive thermal stability at 85℃ for 300 h and much improved continuous operation stability at MPP for 120 h. 展开更多

Phase transition from form Ⅰ to form Ⅲ in syndiotactic polypropylene crystallized at different conditions during tensile deformation at different temperatures was investigated by using in situ synchrotron wide angle X-ray diffraction technique. In all cases, the occurrence of this phase transition was observed. The onset strain of this transition was found to be crystalline thickness decided by crystallization temperature and drawing temperature dependent. The effect of drawing temperature on this phase transition is understood by the changes in mechanical properties with temperature. Moreover, crystalline thickness dependency of the phase transition reveals that this form Ⅰ to from Ⅲ phase transition occurs first in those lamellae with their normal along the stretching direction which have not experienced stress induced melting and recrystallization. 展开更多

X-ray speckle tracking based methods can provide results with best reported angular accuracy up to 2 nrad. However,duo to the multi-frame requirement for phase retrieval and the possible instability of the x-ray beam, mechanical and background vibration, the actual accuracy will inevitably be degraded by these time-dependent fluctuations. Therefore,not only spatial position, but also temporal features of the speckle patterns need to be considered in order to maintain the superiority of the speckle-based methods. In this paper, we propose a parallel acquisition method with advantages of real time and high accuracy, which has potential applicability to dynamic samples imaging as well as on-line beam monitoring.Through simulations, we demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the phase error caused by the fluctuations to1% at most compared with current speckle tracking methods. Meanwhile, it can keep the accuracy deterioration within0.03 nrad, making the high theoretical accuracy a reality. Also, we find that waveforms of the incident beam have a little impact on the phase retrieved and will not influence the actual accuracy, which relaxes the requirements for speckle-based experiments. 展开更多
