A coastal saline field of 10.5 ha was selected as the study site and 122 bulk electrical conductivity (ECb) measurements were performed thrice in situ in the topsoil (0-20 cm) across the field using a hand held device...A coastal saline field of 10.5 ha was selected as the study site and 122 bulk electrical conductivity (ECb) measurements were performed thrice in situ in the topsoil (0-20 cm) across the field using a hand held device to assess the spatial variability and temporal stability of the distribution of soil electrical conductivity (EC), to identify the management zones using cluster analysis based on the spatiotemporal variability of soil EC, and to evaluate the probable potential for site-specific management in coastal regions with conventional statistics and geostatistical techniques. The results indicated high coefficients of variation for topsoil salinity over all the three samplings. The spatial structure of the salinity variability remained relatively stable with time. Kriged contour maps, drawn on the basis of spatial variance structure of the data, showed the spatial trend of the salinity distribution and revealed areas of consistently high or consistently low salinity, while a temporal stability map indicated stable and unstable regions. On the basis of the spatiotemporal characteristics, cluster analysis divided the site into three potential management zones, each with different characteristics that could have an impact on the way the field was managed. On the basis of the clearly defined management zones it was concluded that coastal saline land could be managed in a site-specific way.展开更多

Rapid urbanization results in the conversion of natural soil to urban soil,and consequently,the storage and density of the soil carbon pools change.Taking Chongqing Municipality of China as a study case,this investiga...Rapid urbanization results in the conversion of natural soil to urban soil,and consequently,the storage and density of the soil carbon pools change.Taking Chongqing Municipality of China as a study case,this investigation attempts to better understand soil carbon pools in hilly cities.First,the vegetated areas in the study area were derived from QuickBird images.Then,topsoil data from 220 soil samples(0-20 cm) in the vegetated areas were collected and their soil organic carbon(SOC) densities were analyzed.Using the Kriging interpolation method,the spatial pattern of SOC was estimated.The results show that the SOC density exhibited high spatial variability in the urban topsoil of Chongqing.First,the SOC density in topsoil decreased according to slope in the order 2°-6° < 25°-90° < 0°-2° < 6°-15° < 15°-25°.Second,the newly developed areas during 2001-2010 had a lower SOC density than the areas built before 1988.Third,urban parks and gardens had a higher SOC density in topsoil,residential green land followed,and scattered street green land ranked last.For hilly cities,the variability of terrain affects the distribution of SOC.The Kriging results indicate that Kriging method combining slope with SOC density produced a high level of accuracy.The Kriging results show that the SOC density to the north of the Jialing River was higher than the south.The vegetated areas were estimated to amount to 73.5 km2 across the study area with an SOC storage of 0.192 Tg and an average density of 2.61 kg/m2.展开更多

This paper presents the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in the development of a lifecycle cost-estimating tool. The IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) model as an interoperable building information model has been adopted as the central data repository to deliver the integrated information of building designs from CAD design systems into the lifecycle-costing database. In this paper, the conceptions and relevant factors, which could affect the LCC estimation, have been introduced. The problems of current LCC applications have been identified as the lack of LCC data and the complexity of LCC exercises. The software application of IFC models and relevant auxiliary are depicted as a solution of the problem identified. The lifecycle costing tool is a part of the nD Modeling tool and as such is based on its integrated interface prototype toolkit and is able to holistically present an IFC model into a 3D virtual reality view, a tree-view and a list of element properties. The functions and some technical points are also detailed in the paper. Through the research, it demonstrates the potential and possibility of implementing BIM methods and techniques, particularly IFCs to enhance the computer applications in the processes of building construction and facility management.展开更多

In this study, kriging and two interpolation methods were proven well to estimate auxiliary variables: cokriging and regression-kriging, and using the salinity data from the first two stages as auxiliary variables, the methods both improved the interpolation of soil salinity in coastal saline land. The prediction accuracy of the three methods was observed under different sampling density of the target variable by comparison with another group of 80 validation sample points, from which the root-mean-square error (RMSE) and correlation coefficient (r) between the predicted and measured values were calculated. The results showed, with the help of auxiliary data, whatever the sample size of the target variable may be, cokriging and regression-kriging performed better than ordinary kriging. Moreover, regression-kriging produced on average more accurate predictions than cokriging. Compared with the kriging results, cokriging improved the estimations by reducing RMSE from 23.3 to 29% and increasing r from 16.6 to 25.5%, regression-kriging improved the estimations by reducing RMSE from 25 to 41.5% and increasing r from 16.8 to 27.2%. Therefore, regression-kriging shows promise for improved prediction for soil salinity and reduction of soil sampling intensity considerably while maintaining high prediction accuracy. Moreover, in regression-kriging, the regression model can have any form, such as generalized linear models, non-linear models or tree-based models, which provide a possibility to include more ancillary variables.展开更多

The aim of this study was to investigate the spatial variability of soil bulk electrical conductivity (ECb) in a coastal saline field and design an optimized spatial sampling scheme of ECb based on a sampling design algorithm, the variance quad-tree (VQT) method. Soil ECb data were collected from the field at 20 m interval in a regular grid scheme. The smooth contour map of the whole field was obtained by ordinary kriging interpolation, VQT algorithm was then used to split the smooth contour map into strata of different number desired, the sampling locations can be selected within each stratum in subsequent sampling. The result indicated that the probability of choosing representative sampling sites was increased significantly by using VQT method with the sampling number being greatly reduced compared to grid sampling design while retaining the same prediction accuracy. The advantage of the VQT method is that this scheme samples sparsely in fields where the spatial variability is relatively uniform and more intensive where the variability is large. Thus the sampling efficiency can be improved, hence facilitate an assessment methodology that can be applied in a rapid, practical and cost-effective manner.展开更多

Contemporary society is confronted with multifaceted challenges,and the intricate interplay of interconnected factors significantly complicates emergency response efforts.Current practices rely on quick decisions by d...Contemporary society is confronted with multifaceted challenges,and the intricate interplay of interconnected factors significantly complicates emergency response efforts.Current practices rely on quick decisions by domain experts;however,the limitations of individual expertise and the urgency of crises hinder both precision and standardization.To address these issues,we propose a novel approach:an intelligent method for emergency decision-making grounded in a standardized digital knowledge graph.First,our study examined the underlying theory of standardized digital transformation and event-chain evolution.This led to the construction of a knowledge graph encompassing standard emergency knowledge,as well as supplementary derivative data pertinent to event response.Second,through the application of semantic analysis and intention recognition of the decision target,coherent and interpretable query sentences for the decision system were crafted.These query sentences then served as a conduit for retrieving standard emergency knowledge relevant to the current emergency situation,as well as potential secondary disasters.The overarching goal is to provide emergency decision makers with effective support mechanisms that are both well informed and tailored to the specific demands of each situation.展开更多

A sensitivity analysis was applied to investigate the interaction between atmospheric parameters and particulate mass concentration. The experiment revealed that the concentration of particulates increased with particle size from 0.1 to 1.0 μm, and decreased with the increase of particle size from 1.0 to 2.5 μm. The effects of atmospheric parameters on fine mass concentrations were significantly particle size-dependent. The PM1.0-2.5 may come from the size increase of smaller particulates after moisture absorption, And the variation of concentrations of PM0.1-l.0 was mainly attributed to the accumulation of PM0.1. The ventilation index and dilution index were calcu- lated on the basis of data collected in December 2009. A correlation analysis indicated that there was a significant relation between these two indexes and the particulate concentration by examining the three particle size ranges, 0.0-0.1, 0.1-1.0, and 1,0-2.5 μm. The Spearman correlation coefficients that related the ventilation index to the concentration for the three particle size ranges were -0.45, -0.56 and -0.47, respectively, while the coefficients that related the dilution index to the concentration were -0.36, -0.42 and -0.45, respectively.展开更多

文摘The purpose of this study is to establish an intelligent expert system for nuclear power plant emergency response.A new framework of environmental risk management methodology by the concept of pattern recognition was introduced in this paper.A knowledge-based decision support system for emergency response and risk management of nuclear power plant was also discussed.The mathematical pattern relationship of accidental release effects on neighboring area and the corresponding response measures were presented in this paper.With this decision system,the decision maker can specify the procedure and minimize their human error in the decision process.The improvement of risk response and the quality of management system could be upgraded by this system.Besides,the methodology can also be served as a basis for the future development of environmental risk response system design.
文摘The traditional concept of ”one-size-fits-all” educational and training programmes is no more fully adequate to meet the increasing demand worldwide. E-learning, as an alternative approach to traditional face-to-face education, is creating immense challenges for educational institutions to develop new approaches for the production and delivery of cost effective and efficient e-contents. Although, there have been many developments in web-based programmes, they have not fully attained their potential due to a variety of factors. These include: 1) lack of exchangeability between learning materials, 2) delivery mechanisms incompatible with the pedagogical design, 3) low student interaction and insensitive learning processes, 4) absence of intelligent online programme advice and guidance, 5) inflexibility in meeting diverse needs, and 6) institutionally centred ineffective implementation strategies. This paper addresses the critical elements for successful delivery of e-learning environments and then focuses on proposing a framework for the development of an integrated knowledge-based learning environment which has the potential to producer cost effective and personalised training programmes.
文摘This paper firstly analyzed the operation model,market positioning,market demand forecast as well as market competition and challenges,park site selection,and transportation conditions for construction of the Cold-Chain Logistics Park of Agricultural Products in Sanshui.Then,it presented the overall planning scheme for construction of the Cold-Chain Logistics Park of Agricultural Products from a progressive two-stage perspective of overall planning and stage-by-stage implementation.The first stage mainly performs the function as a transaction platform of agricultural products and meanwhile provides customers with agricultural products storage and inspection services.The second stage adds value-added services such as distribution processing,modified atmosphere storage,freezing and refrigeration,market price information distribution,E-commerce of agricultural products and personalized services.It is expected to provide references and suggestions for the construction of the Cold-Chain Logistics Park of Agricultural Products.

文摘Air compressor is commonly used in petroleum, chemical industry, smelting, mine ventilation and many other important departments. Once the failure occurs, the production will be seriously affected. Taking an air compressor as an example, the reasons for high bearing temperature and the treatment process are expounded, and the measures such as replacing the bearing, repairing the oil sac on the oil return side of the bearing and installing the bearing are put forward. The rotor shaft grounding measuring device is introduced to solve the high temperature problem of generator bearing, which can provide reference experience for dealing with this problem of the same type of unit.

Judging from the current social development, paying taxes in good faith and in accordance with the law has become an important content for enterprises to fulfill their economic and social responsibilities, and it is also an inevitable requirement for society to realize sustainable development. However, some enterprises do not pay attention to the tax risk, which brings uncertainty to the survival and development of enterprises. Based on the analysis of enterprise tax risk, this paper puts forward the countermeasures to prevent tax risk, hoping to provide reference for the future development of enterprises.

文摘Contemporary society is confronted with multifaceted challenges,and the intricate interplay of interconnected factors significantly complicates emergency response efforts.Current practices rely on quick decisions by domain experts;however,the limitations of individual expertise and the urgency of crises hinder both precision and standardization.To address these issues,we propose a novel approach:an intelligent method for emergency decision-making grounded in a standardized digital knowledge graph.First,our study examined the underlying theory of standardized digital transformation and event-chain evolution.This led to the construction of a knowledge graph encompassing standard emergency knowledge,as well as supplementary derivative data pertinent to event response.Second,through the application of semantic analysis and intention recognition of the decision target,coherent and interpretable query sentences for the decision system were crafted.These query sentences then served as a conduit for retrieving standard emergency knowledge relevant to the current emergency situation,as well as potential secondary disasters.The overarching goal is to provide emergency decision makers with effective support mechanisms that are both well informed and tailored to the specific demands of each situation.

文摘A study was conducted on the effect of atmospheric parameters, including temperature, wind speed, and relative humidity, on fine particulate mass concentrations measured in Jiading District of Shanghai, China, during the period from January 2009 to January 2010. A sensitivity analysis was applied to investigate the interaction between atmospheric parameters and particulate mass concentration. The experiment revealed that the concentration of particulates increased with particle size from 0.1 to 1.0 μm, and decreased with the increase of particle size from 1.0 to 2.5 μm. The effects of atmospheric parameters on fine mass concentrations were significantly particle size-dependent. The PM1.0-2.5 may come from the size increase of smaller particulates after moisture absorption, And the variation of concentrations of PM0.1-l.0 was mainly attributed to the accumulation of PM0.1. The ventilation index and dilution index were calcu- lated on the basis of data collected in December 2009. A correlation analysis indicated that there was a significant relation between these two indexes and the particulate concentration by examining the three particle size ranges, 0.0-0.1, 0.1-1.0, and 1,0-2.5 μm. The Spearman correlation coefficients that related the ventilation index to the concentration for the three particle size ranges were -0.45, -0.56 and -0.47, respectively, while the coefficients that related the dilution index to the concentration were -0.36, -0.42 and -0.45, respectively.
