The advantage of the developed method is that the separation of uranium matrix is not required prior to the ion chromatographic determination of trace Th. Separation was carried out on a mixed ion exchange stationary phase and a 10?4 M arsenazo (III) solution was used as post column reagent for detecting the separated metal ions. The separation of Th from uranium using PDCA in the present investigation is attributed through cation exchange mechanism. A calibration plot was constructed by following the standard addition method over the concentration range of 0.25 to 10 ppm of Th in the presence of uranium matrix, which resulted in a linear regression coefficient of 0.9978. The precision of the method was better than 5% and the LOD for Th was found to be 0.1ppm (S/N=3). The method has been validated by comparing the results with the results obtained from ICP-MS analysis where the This separated from the uranium matrix. The proposed method is simple, rapid, accurate and cost effective compared to techniques like ICP-MS or ICP-AES and is suitable for the routine kind of analysis.展开更多

The finger orientations that were used in this study are vertical and horizontal finger orientation. Specimens were bonded with PVAc (polyvinyl acetate). The bending strength properties were determined by the three point and four point bending test method. The results show that vertical finger orientation has the higher mean of modulus of rupture and the modulus of elasticity value of 24.49 MPa (28.91 MPa) and 8,814 MPa (11,668 MPa) respectively. However, the tested specimen properties did not meet the minimum strength of the solid (control) specimens.展开更多

The as-obtained materials were characterized by XRD, N_2-physisorption, SEM, FT-IR, NH_3-TPD and XPS analyses. The results showed that, with the increase of the weight ratio of Mg(Al)O/ZSM-5, the thickness of Mg(Al)O shell was improved, and the pore structure and physiochemical properties of core-shell materials were directly modified. After introduction of Mg(Al)O, the acidity properties of different materials were significantly suppressed. Meanwhile, more Sn oxide species in Z@MA could facilitate the anchoring of Pt on the support. By effectively employing these modifications, the capacity of the catalysts to accommodate coke was significanty improved and the carbon deposits were migrated from active metal to the carrier. When the weight ratio was equal to 3, the catalyst PtSnNa/Z@MA showed a highest conversion and high selectivity in propane dehydrogenation.展开更多

The diets comprised a normal diet and the normal diets supplemented with 5 and 25 g/kg SCE. The results showed that SCE supplementation did not affect final body weight of finishing pigs. Dietary SCE supplementation significantly increased(P < 0.05) Longissimus dorsi muscle pH_(24 h),and tended to reduce(P < 0.1) and significantly decreased(P < 0.05) shear force, drip loss, myofiber cross sectional area and lactate dehydrogenase activity at 5 and 25 g/kg, respectively. Meanwhile, dietary SCE treatments significantly decreased(P < 0.05) malonaldehyde content and total superoxide dismutase activity in Longissimus dorsi muscle, and tended to reduce(P < 0.1) malonaldehyde content in serum. Altogether, these data indicate that SCE is an effective feed additive to improve pork meat quality, and the underlying mechanism may be partly due to the improved oxidative stability induced by dietary SCE supplementation.展开更多
