For co-phasing detection in such a system, a new aspect of the system's far-field interferometry is analysed and used to construct a novel method to detect piston errors. An optical setup is built to demonstrate the efficacy of this method. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that samples had pure tetragonal phase without any impurities. Scanning electron microscopy and static light scattering technique were used to study morphology and size of prepared nanoparticles. Average diameter of the nanoparticles was about 40 nm. The changes in structural and luminescence properties were observed as a function of the first and second calcination temperature. The optimal conditions for synthesis of nanoparticles were determined as Т1=500℃, t1=1 h; Т2=950 ℃, t2=1.5 h. The effect of different media surrounding the nanoparticles on their luminescence properties and lifetime was investigated and discussed in terms of effective refractive index. The proposed model is based on a coupled-play operator which can avoid the conventional Prandtl-Ishlinskii(CPI)model's defects, i.e., the symmetric property. The high accuracy for modeling asymmetric hysteresis is validated by comparing simulation results with experimental measurements. In order to further evaluate the performance of the proposed model in closed-loop tracking application, two different hybrid control methods which experimentally demonstrate their performance under the same operating conditions, are compared to validate that the hybrid control strategy with proposed hysteresis model can mitigate the hysteresis more effectively and achieve better tracking precision. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed modeling and tracking control strategy can realize efficient control of piezoelectric actuator.展开更多

The results show that the optical intensity in the focal region can be altered considerably by changing the location of the vortices nested in a radially polarized Gaussian beam. It is noted that focal evolution from one annular focal pattern to a highly confined focal spot in the transverse direction is observed corresponding to the change in the location of the optical vortices in the input plane. It is also observed that the generated focal hole or spot lead to a focal shift along the optical axis remarkably under proper radial phase modulation. Hence the proposed system may be applied to construct tunable optical traps for both high and low refractive index particles.展开更多

With the increase of the photoassociation laser intensity, the linear variation of the frequency shift is measured by recording the photoassociation spectra of the long-range 0_u^+ state of Cs molecule below the 6S_(1/2)+ 6P_(1/2) dissociation limit at different magnetic fields. The slope of the frequency shift to the intensity of the photoassociation laser exhibits a strong dependence on the external magnetic field. The experimental data is simulated with an analytic theory model, in which a single channel rectangular potential with the tunable well depth is introduced to acquire the influence of the magnetic field on the atomic behavior in the effective range where photoassociation occurs.展开更多

Due to the unique luminescent properties, Eu^3+ ions can be used as a structural probe. In this paper, effect of doping concentration, excitation wavelength and excitation mechanism on asymmetry ratio was systematically studied using Y3Al5O12:Eu^3+, YVO4:Eu^3+ and Y2O3:Eu^3+nanophosphors. The asymmetry ratio gives information about the local surrounding and environmental changes around the Eu^3+ ions. Asymmetry ratios of YAG:Eu^3+and YVO4:Eu^3+ nanopowders were calculated using standard technique and the obtained average values were found to be 0.75 and 8.2, respectively. However, it is found that standard method of asymmetry ratio calculation is suitable only for samples where all Eu^3+ ions occupy one site. The "multisite model" of asymmetry ratio calculation was developed and used for Y2O3:Eu^3+ nanocrystalline powders. Average value of asymmetry ratio for Eu^3+ ions occupied "normal" sites is 6.0 and for Eu^3+ ions occupied "defect"sites is 2.3.展开更多

The OPO is based on a periodically-poled KTiOPO4 (PPKTP) crystal that is pumped using a bow-tie four-mirror ring frequency doubler. The phase of the squeezed light is controlled using a quantum noise locking technique. At a pump power of 115 mW, maximum quadrature phase squeezing of 3.5 dB and anti-squeezing of 7.5 dB are detected using a home-made balanced homodyne detector. This squeezed vacuum at an atomic transition in the kilohertz range is an ideal quantum source for quantum metrology of enhancing measurement precision, especially for ultra-sensitive measurement of weak magnetic fields when using a Cs atomic magnetometer in the audio frequency range.展开更多

文摘Measurement-based quantum computation with continuous variables, which realizes computation by performing measurement and feedforward of measurement results on a large scale Gaussian cluster state, provides a feasible way to implement quantum computation.Quantum error correction is an essential procedure to protect quantum information in quantum computation and quantum communication. In this review,we briefly introduce the progress of measurement-based quantum computation and quantum error correction with continuous variables based on Gaussian cluster states. We also discuss the challenges in the fault-tolerant measurement-based quantum computation with continuous variables.

文摘Study of the local environment of certain ion is quite a complex problem. Average value of asymmetry ratio for Eu^3+ ions occupied "normal" sites is 6.0 and for Eu^3+ ions occupied "defect"sites is 2.3.

文摘We report the experimental generation of a squeezed vacuum at frequencies ranging from 2.5 kHz to 200 kHz that is resonant on the cesium D2 line by using a below-threshold optical parametric oscillator (OPO). This squeezed vacuum at an atomic transition in the kilohertz range is an ideal quantum source for quantum metrology of enhancing measurement precision, especially for ultra-sensitive measurement of weak magnetic fields when using a Cs atomic magnetometer in the audio frequency range.
