The air chamber is utilized to convert the wave energy into the pneumatic energy. The numerical wave tank based on the two-phase VOF model is established in the present study toinvestigate the operating performance of OWC air chamber. The RANS equations, standard k-ε turbulence model and dynamic mesh technology are employed in the numerical model. The effects of incident wave conditions and shape parameters on the wave energy converting efficiency are studied and the capability of the present numerical wave tank on the corresponding engineering application is validated.展开更多

Some cases of focusing waves considering different parameters such as assumed focusing amplitudes, frequency bandwidth, central frequency and frequency spectrum are generated. Characteristics of the focusing wave including surface elevations, the maximum crest, shift of focusing points and frequency spectra are discussed. The results show that the focusing wave characteristics are strongly affected by focusing amplitudes, frequency bandwidth, central frequency and frequency spectrum.展开更多

The model, which ca...Based on the theoretical high-order model with a dissipative term for non-linear and dispersive wave in water of varying depth, a 3-D mathematical model of non-linear wave propagation is presented. The model, which can be used to calculate the wave particle velocity and wave pressure, is suitable to the complicated topography whose relative depth (d/lambda(0), ratio of the characteristic water depth to the characteristic wavelength in deep-water) is equal to or smaller than one. The governing equations are discretized with the improved 2-D Crank-Nicolson method in which the first-order derivatives are corrected by Taylor series expansion, And the general boundary conditions with an arbitrary reflection coefficient and phase shift are adopted in the model. The surface elevation, horizontal and vertical velocity components and wave pressure of standing waves are numerically calculated. The results show that the numerical model can effectively simulate the complicated standing waves, and the general boundary conditions possess good adaptability.展开更多

By the application of the completely implicit stagger grid and central difference algorithm, discrete governing equations are obtained. Although the central difference algorithm of second-order accuracy both in time and space domains is used to yield the difference equations, the order of truncation error in the difference equation is the same as that of the third-order derivatives of the Boussinesq equation. In this paper, the correction to the first-order derivative is made, and the accuracy of the difference equation is improved. The verifications of accuracy show that the results of the numerical model are in good agreement with those of analytical Solutions and physical models.展开更多
Based on the observation and analysis of cores and thin sections,and combined with cathodoluminescence,laser Raman,fluid inclusions,and in-situ LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating,the genetic mechanism and petroleum geological sign...Based on the observation and analysis of cores and thin sections,and combined with cathodoluminescence,laser Raman,fluid inclusions,and in-situ LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating,the genetic mechanism and petroleum geological significance of calcite veins in shales of the Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in the Songliao Basin were investigated.Macroscopically,the calcite veins are bedding parallel,and show lenticular,S-shaped,cone-in-cone and pinnate structures.Microscopically,they can be divided into syntaxial blocky or columnar calcite veins and antitaxial fibrous calcite veins.The aqueous fluid inclusions in blocky calcite veins have a homogenization temperature of 132.5–145.1℃,the in-situ U-Pb dating age of blocky calcite veins is(69.9±5.2)Ma,suggesting that the middle maturity period of source rocks and the conventional oil formation period in the Qingshankou Formation are the sedimentary period of Mingshui Formation in Late Cretaceous.The aqueous fluid inclusions in fibrous calcite veins with the homogenization temperature of 141.2–157.4℃,yields the U-Pb age of(44.7±6.9)Ma,indicating that the middle-high maturity period of source rocks and the Gulong shale oil formation period in the Qingshankou Formation are the sedimentary period of Paleocene Yi'an Formaiton.The syntaxial blocky or columnar calcite veins were formed sensitively to the diagenetic evolution and hydrocarbon generation,mainly in three stages(fracture opening,vein-forming fluid filling,and vein growth).Tectonic extrusion activities and fluid overpressure are induction factors for the formation of fractures,and vein-forming fluid flows mainly as diffusion in a short distance.These veins generally follow a competitive growth mode.The antitaxial fibrous calcite veins were formed under the driving of the force of crystallization in a non-competitive growth environment.It is considered that the calcite veins in organic-rich shale of the Qingshankou Formation in the study area has important implications for local tectonic activities,fluid overpressure,hydrocarbon generation and expulsion,and diagenesis-hydrocarbon accumulation dating of the Songliao Basin.展开更多

The experimental study focuses on the effect of mean angles of attack. The comparison between the PIV results and numerical prediction about the flow field using Fluent well demonstrates the capability of CFD on the simulation of the water flow around the pitching hydrofoil. The numerical results indicate that the forced oscillating frequencies have evident effects on the flow separation and vortex shedding. The simulations about the hydrodynamic drag and lift coefficients were also performed.展开更多
To infer product fitness information,consumers often consult digital influencers who exert effort to learn and evaluate product features and then propagate information to their followers.However,influencers'recomm...To infer product fitness information,consumers often consult digital influencers who exert effort to learn and evaluate product features and then propagate information to their followers.However,influencers'recommendations are not limited to products that exactly match their expertise,which may lead followers to unfollow them.This study investigates which product(high or low congruence)an influencer should endorse and how much endorsement effort should be exerted.Using a theoretical model,we obtain several interesting results.First,endorsing a low-congruence product can surprisingly benefit the influencer if the penalty per lost follower is moderate or if the influencer has sufficiently high efficiency in reducing the perception error of this product.Second,although the influencer has high expertise in the high-congruence product,she will lose more followers when endorsing it than when endorsing the low-congruence product if a particularly small or large proportion of her followers are potential consumers of the low-congruence product.Third,when the influencer endorses the low-congruence product,the number of new followers increases with the size of the influencer's follower base only when the follower base is small and a large proportion of followers are potential consumers of the low-congruence product.Interestingly,as the size of the follower base increases,the influencer always exerts more effort when endorsing the high-congruence product but will exert less effort in learning about the low-congruence product if a sufficiently small proportion of followers are potential consumers.Finally,after taking consumers'knowledge about product features into account,the main results still hold,and when considering the competition between influencers,we uncover the conditions under which both influencers will choose to endorse the high-congruence product.展开更多
