Objectives This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the semi-virtual simulation and traditional simulation teaching models based on the Standards of Best Practice(SOBP)according to the International Nursing As...Objectives This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the semi-virtual simulation and traditional simulation teaching models based on the Standards of Best Practice(SOBP)according to the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning(INACSL)in the Adult Nursing course.Methods This study used a quasi-experimental design.A total of 94 third-year nursing students from a university in Beijing between November and December 2022 were recruited as participants.An innovative semi-virtual simulation teaching model was designed based on the SOBP established by the INACSL.In the Adult Nursing course,both the semi-virtual and traditional simulation teaching models were implemented.At the end of the simulation sessions,participants completed the Chinese version of the Simulation Effectiveness Tool-Modified(SET-M)to assess the effectiveness of the two teaching models.Results All nursing students completed the simulation sessions.There was no difference(t=−0.93,P=0.353)in the total scores between the semi-virtual simulation teaching model(50.87±5.30)and the traditional simulation teaching model(50.37±5.16).However,there was a statistically significant difference(t=−2.65,P=0.010)in the prebriefing section(semi-virtual simulation:5.60±0.71;traditional simulation:5.33±0.78).In contrast,no statistically significant differences were found for the scenario and debriefing sections(P>0.05).At the individual item level,statistical differences(P<0.05)between the two models were identified for items 1 and 9,but not for the remaining items(P>0.05).By analyzing the open-ended question,it was found that both simulation models were effective,and students’comments were similar.Conclusions The study demonstrated equivalent effectiveness between the semi-virtual and traditional simulation teaching models.Semi-virtual simulation teaching model could offer a more flexible and feasible approach to simulation teaching.展开更多
Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nu...Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nurse-led vir tual clinic is challenging for nursing management,par ticularly regarding resources.We aimed to investigate nursing practices and processes and patient experiences in relation to vir tual outpatient clinics.Methods:This was a cross-sectional,descriptive study using mixed data collection methods.Patients(n=324)from 4 specialist clinics completed the Virtual Clinics Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire(VCSQ)survey.Five Nurse Specialists participated in a focus group interview.Results:Most participants(86.3%)reported being satisfied/very satisfied with the virtual clinics,particularly those that were nurse-led.Nurse specialists identified electronic health records(EHRs)and additional IT and administrative support as important for efficiency and effectiveness of the clinics.Conclusions:Nurse-led virtual clinics can be an effective and efficient way to provide care to patients.Nurse managers need to ensure supportive structures are in place,for example,dedicated administrators,IT support and infrastructure,education/training,and relevant policies/procedures.The success of nurse-led virtual services requires key infrastructure to support nursing staff and sustain this service.展开更多
Objectives This study aimed to analyse the benefits of a gamified clinical supervision strategy during hospital-based training,particularly regarding the development of critical and reflective thinking among undergrad...Objectives This study aimed to analyse the benefits of a gamified clinical supervision strategy during hospital-based training,particularly regarding the development of critical and reflective thinking among undergraduate nursing students.Methods From April to July 2023,second-year nursing students who undertaking a nine-week clinical placement in a cardiology ward in northern Portugal were selected.Following a two-week diagnostic phase,students participated in a six-week gamified supervision programme comprising weekly 60-min sessions:infection-control decision-making;technical-procedural reasoning;guided emotional and ethical reflection;and clinical reasoning quiz on cardiology topics.Students completed weekly Structured Reflection Guide entries;supervisors recorded structured field notes after each session;and,after the intervention,students answered a post-intervention questionnaire and participated in focus groups.Qualitative data(reflections,field notes,open-ended questionnaire items,and focus-group transcripts)were analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis;quantitative questionnaire items were summarized descriptively.Results All seven students completed the six gamified sessions and submitted weekly reflection entries.Five students(71.4%)completed the questionnaire.Across data sources,students reported that gamified activities supported knowledge consolidation,teamwork,and clinical reasoning.Questionnaire data showed that all respondents(n=5,100%)strongly agreed that gamification enhanced their learning and should be maintained in clinical training.Reflections and focus groups revealed recurring themes related to emotional expression,sense of belonging,and difficulties using structured reflection tools,particularly in terms of comprehension and timing.Conclusion The gamified supervision strategy integrated into clinical training provided structured opportunities for practical engagement,collaborative work,and guided reflection.These findings suggest that gamification may support the development of reflective and critical-thinking processes in authentic clinical environments.展开更多

Objectives This study aimed to explore the research trends,thematic structures,and core competency domains in the field of nursing-related digital and artificial intelligence(AI)technologies.Methods A bibliometric ana...Objectives This study aimed to explore the research trends,thematic structures,and core competency domains in the field of nursing-related digital and artificial intelligence(AI)technologies.Methods A bibliometric analysis was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 statement.Peer-reviewed articles published in English from 2015 to 2025 were retrieved from Scopus,Web of Science,and PubMed.Thematic clustering was conducted using the Louvain algorithm and cosine similarity.A subset of 66 frequently cited articles was then qualitatively synthesized to capture core competencies across clusters.Results A total of 83,807 articles were included for bibliometric analysis.Of these,66 articles were chosen for thematic analysis.Five major thematic clusters were identified:remote care in primary settings,oncology and palliative care,nurse education and training,safety and quality in nursing practice,and geriatric and dementia care.Additionally,four competency domains were identified:telehealth and remote communication,health systems and informatics,digital tools in practice,and AI-powered decision support.A clear shift in research focus was observed,with the emphasis transitioning from foundational digital skills before the COVID-19 pandemic to more advanced competencies during the post-pandemic digital transformation,encompassing ethical reasoning,immersive technology use,and AI integration.Conclusions Integrating digital and AI technologies is reshaping nursing practice across various thematic areas and competency domains,highlighting a transition from foundational digital tasks to AI-supported decision-making and ethically informed technology use.This study provides a structured overview of evolving competencies in digital nursing and synthesizes evidence to support future research,curriculum design,and policy planning.展开更多
Background:In mental health,recovery is emphasized,and qualitative analyses of service users’narratives have accumulated;however,while qualitative approaches excel at capturing rich context and generating new concept...Background:In mental health,recovery is emphasized,and qualitative analyses of service users’narratives have accumulated;however,while qualitative approaches excel at capturing rich context and generating new concepts,they are limited in generalizability and feasible data volume.This study aimed to quantify the subjective life history narratives of users of psychiatric home-visit nursing using natural language processing(NLP)and to clarify the relationships between linguistic features and recovery-related indicators.Methods:We conducted audio-recorded and transcribed semi-structured interviews on daily life verbatim and collected self-report questionnaires(Recovery Assessment Scale[RAS])and clinician ratings(Global Assessment of Functioning[GAF])from Japanese users of psychiatric home-visit nursing.Using the artificial intelligence-based topic-modeling method BERTopic,we extracted topics from the interview texts and calculated each participant’s topic proportions,and then examined associations between topic proportions and recovery-related indicators using Pearson correlation analyses.Results:“School”showed a significant positive correlation with RAS(r=0.39,p=0.05),whereas“Family”showed a significant negative correlation(r=–0.46,p=0.02).GAF was positively correlated with word count(r=0.44,p=0.02)and“Hospital”(r=0.42,p=0.03),and negatively correlated with“Backchannels”(aizuchi)(r=–0.41,p=0.03).Conclusion:The present results suggest that the quantity,quality,and content of narratives can serve as useful indicators of mental health and recovery,and that objective NLP-based analysis of service users’narratives can complement traditional self-report scales and clinician ratings to inform the design of recovery-oriented care in psychiatric home-visit nursing.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to explore the effect of standardized patient(SP)-narrative nursing in the experimental teaching of surgical nursing.Methods:A quasi-experimental study design was adopted.A total of 200 unde...Objective:This study aimed to explore the effect of standardized patient(SP)-narrative nursing in the experimental teaching of surgical nursing.Methods:A quasi-experimental study design was adopted.A total of 200 undergraduate nursing students were recruited from the Nursing College of Guilin Medical University in China from March 2023 to December 2024.The intervention group recruited students from the Class of 2022(n=100),and the control group recruited students from the Class of 2021(n=100).The intervention group adopted a teaching model combining standardized patients with narrative nursing based on traditional scenariobased simulation teaching,which was applied to the nursing of perioperative patients(4 class hours)and scenario-based case drills(4 class hours)in the experimental teaching of surgical nursing.The control group used traditional scenario-based simulation teaching.The Nurse Humanistic Care Quality Evaluation Scale,Clinical Thinking Ability Evaluation Index System Scale for Medical Students,and Nurse-Patient Communication Ability Evaluation Scale for Nursing Students were used to investigate and compare the teaching effects between the two groups of students.Results:The total scores of the intervention group on humanistic care(91.39±3.97),clinical thinking(79.64±6.33),and nurse-patient communication(157.22±7.95)abilities were significantly higher than those of the control group(82.29±3.62,65.11±7.24,and 147.05±7.84,respectively),with statistically significant differences(P<0.01).Conclusion:This study confirms that integrating the dual teaching model of standardized patients and narrative nursing in experimental teaching of surgical nursing has significantly optimized the theoretical and practical structure of teaching strategies.This innovative teaching method provides a promotable paradigm for nursing humanities education and is of positive significance for improving the effectiveness of cultivating the core literacy of nursing talents.展开更多
BACKGROUND Long-term chemotherapy for patients with gastric cancer(GC),facilitated by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)catheterization,reduces vascular damage and enhances drug delivery efficiency but carri...BACKGROUND Long-term chemotherapy for patients with gastric cancer(GC),facilitated by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)catheterization,reduces vascular damage and enhances drug delivery efficiency but carries risks of catheter-related complications.A combination of group psychological nursing and physical mo-vement care significantly mitigates the risk of venous thrombosis and improves psychological well-being,and enhances motor function,underscoring its clinical importance.AIM To assess group psychological and physical movement nursing in preventing venous thrombosis in patients with PICC GC.METHODS Sixty-five GC patients with PICC,admitted from January 2022 to January 2023,were randomly divided into two groups using the lottery method:A control group(n=35,routine nursing)and an observation group(n=30,routine nursing plus psychological nursing and physical movement nursing).Both groups re-ceived continuous care for 2 weeks.Pre-nursing and post-nursing data on psycho-logical state,physical function,chemotherapy-related thrombosis incidence,and cancer-related fatigue were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.0.RESULTS After nursing,both groups showed reduced Hamilton Anxiety Scale scores and increased General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale scores,with the observation group performing better(P<0.05).The Functional Comprehensive Assessment score for the observation group after nursing was(65.42±2.35)points,lower than the control group’s(62.19±4.33)points(P<0.05).Although no significant difference was observed in the incidence of venous thrombosis between the two groups(χ2=0.815,P=0.367),the observation group had lower incidence.Both groups showed decreased Revised Piper Fatigue Scale scores,with the observation group scoring lower(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Group psychological and physical movement nursing for patients with PICC reduces venous thrombosis risk,improves psychological well-being,cancer-related fatigue,and physical function,making it highly promotable.展开更多
BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy.However,postop...BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy.However,postoperative recovery remains an important issue that affects rehabilitation quality and surgical results.AIM To explore the effects of rapid rehabilitation and surgical nursing care on gastrointestinal function recovery and sleep quality among patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy.METHODS A total of 120 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy at our hospital between January 2019 and March 2024 and for whom complete clinical data were available were selected.Patients were randomly assigned to two groups(n=60 each)using the random number table method.The control group received routine nursing care,while the experimental group received rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing care;all patients continued to receive nursing care until discharge.The recovery of gastrointestinal function,length of hospital stay,complications,Pittsburgh sleep quality index,and nursing satisfaction were compared between groups.RESULTS Following the implementation of effective nursing measures,the times to bowel sound recovery,first exhaust,first defecation,and first feeding were notably shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the duration of the first postoperative activity and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the study group exhibited better sleep quality than the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate was significantly lower and the nursing satisfaction rate significantly higher in the study vs control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing interventions provided to patients after laparoscopic appendectomy can accelerate their postoperative recovery,reduce the occurrence of complications,and improve their sleep quality and nursing satisfaction.展开更多

Objective:This study aimed to investigate the learning expectations of undergraduate nursing students regarding the flipped Health Assessment course.Methods:This descriptive,qualitative study was conducted at a medica...Objective:This study aimed to investigate the learning expectations of undergraduate nursing students regarding the flipped Health Assessment course.Methods:This descriptive,qualitative study was conducted at a medical university in Fuzhou,Fujian Province,China.An interview outline was designed based on the core dimensions of Expectation Confirmation Theory(expectation sources,expectation content,and expectation importance).Thirty second-year undergraduate nursing students who had completed first-year basic medical courses and were about to take the flipped Health Assessment course were interviewed between June and July 2022.Interview data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Results:Five major themes and thirteen subthemes were identified.Theme 1 was expectation sourcesperceived learning difficulties from past experiences,which included four subthemes:insufficient autonomous learning ability,confusion regarding learning methods,insufficient engagement in learning,and low professional identity.Theme 2 included knowledge and information expectations,which comprised three subthemes:knowledge to improve professional competence,knowledge to enhance academic competitiveness,and knowledge to boost self-efficacy.Theme 3 comprised logical expectations and included two subthemes:flexible teaching methods and efficient instructional tools.Theme 4,pleasure expectations,included two subthemes:vivid teaching styles and diversified teaching evaluations.Theme 5 comprised professional value expectations and included two subthemes:teachers'responsible professional attitudes and gentle emotional support.Conclusion:Students'learning expectations originate from perceived learning difficulties,such as insufficient learning autonomy and engagement,confusion about learning methods,and a lack of professional identity.They showed various learning expectations for the flipped Health Assessment course,including knowledge and information,logic,pleasure,and professional value expectations.展开更多

Objectives:This study examined the levels of shared leadership and missed nursing care and their relationship among nurses in Egypt.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted.From February to April 2024,340 nurses...Objectives:This study examined the levels of shared leadership and missed nursing care and their relationship among nurses in Egypt.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted.From February to April 2024,340 nurses worked in all inpatient care units at Alexandria Main University Hospital.The Shared Leadership and Missed Nursing Care Survey was used for evaluation.Results:The overall score of shared leadership was(72.62±4.30),which imitates a high perception of shared leadership among nurses;the dimension of delegation achieved the highest average mean score(3.66±0.26),followed by collaboration(3.64±0.31),the vision dimension scored the lowest mean score(3.59±0.33).The elements of missed nursing care had a total score of(46.72±5.69),and the dimension of secondary care achieved the highest average mean score(3.74±0.31).The reasons for missed nursing care had a total mean score of(22.40±1.59),and the dimension of labor resources achieved the highest average mean score(3.20±0.22).Male nurses,less than 30 years old,married,held a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences,less than five years of experience in the nursing profession,and less than five years of experience in the current working unit had higher total scores of the shared leadership and lower total scores of missed nursing care(P<0.001).A negative correlation existed between shared leadership and two dimentisons(the elements of nursing care[r=-0.383],the reasons for missing nursing care[r=-0.047])(P<0.001).Conclusions:The study’s findings can help as a theoretical underpinning for nursing leaders to stand in an environment that reduces the incidence of missed nursing care by encouraging teamwork,responsibility,workload management,and empowerment among nurses.展开更多

Objective:To investigate the impact of precise nursing care based on dynamic nursing quality feedback model on the postoperative recovery of elderly patients undergoing radical resection for colon cancer,with a partic...Objective:To investigate the impact of precise nursing care based on dynamic nursing quality feedback model on the postoperative recovery of elderly patients undergoing radical resection for colon cancer,with a particular focus on its effects on psychological flexibility.Methods:Medical records of 124 elderly patients undergoing radical resection for colon cancer at The First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College between January 2021 and May 2024 were retrospectively analyzed in this study.Based on the received nursing interventions,the patients were divided into a control group(standard nursing care)and an observation group(precise nursing care based on a dynamic nursing quality feedback model).Results:The observation group exhibited significantly higher levels of hemoglobin,prealbumin,and albumin compared to the control group.Additionally,the observation group had lower scores in somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,obsessions-compulsions,hostility,phobic anxiety,psychoticism,and paranoid ideation.The observation group also demonstrated higher scores in active coping,self-efficacy,and the management of emotions,life,and symptoms.Improvements were also observed in nursing quality,perioperative intervention,satisfaction with rehabilitation guidance,and awareness of regular reexaminations,diet intervention,and complication prevention(all with P<0.05).Conclusion:Precise nursing based on a dynamic nursing quality feedback model can improve nutritional status and medical coping style,reduce psychological issues,and enhance self-management abilities in elderly patients following radical resection of colon cancer.Additionally,it increases nursing satisfaction and raises awareness regarding the importance of regular reexaminations and complication prevention.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to develop a Nursing Retrieval-Augmented Generation(NurRAG)system based on large language models(LLMs)and to evaluate its accuracy and clinical applicability in nursing question answering.Me...Objective:This study aimed to develop a Nursing Retrieval-Augmented Generation(NurRAG)system based on large language models(LLMs)and to evaluate its accuracy and clinical applicability in nursing question answering.Methods:A multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing experts,artificial intelligence researchers,and information engineers collaboratively designed the NurRAG framework following the principles of retrieval-augmented generation.The system included four functional modules:1)construction of a nursing knowledge base through document normalization,embedding,and vector indexing;2)nursing question filtering using a supervised classifier;3)semantic retrieval and re-ranking for evidence selection;and 4)evidence-conditioned language model generation to produce citation-based nursing answers.The system was securely deployed on hospital intranet servers using Docker containers.Performance evaluation was conducted with 1,000 expert-verified nursing question–answer pairs.Semantic fidelity was assessed using Recall Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation–Longest Common Subsequence(ROUGE-L),and clinical correctness was measured using Accuracy.Results:The NurRAG system achieved significant improvements in both semantic fidelity and answer accuracy compared with conventional large language models.For ChatGLM2-6B,ROUGE-L increased from(30.73±1.48)%to(64.27±0.27)%,and accuracy increased from(49.08±0.92)%to(75.83±0.35)%.For LLaMA2-7B,ROUGE-L increased from(28.76±0.89)%to(60.33±0.21)%,and accuracy increased from(43.27±0.83)%to(73.29±0.33)%.All differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).A quantitative case analysis further demonstrated that NurRAG effectively reduced hallucinated outputs and generated evidence-based,guideline-concordant nursing responses.Conclusion:The NurRAG system integrates domain-specific retrieval with LLMs generation to provide accurate,reliable,and traceable evidence-based nursing answers.The findings demonstrate the system’s feasibility and potential to improve the accuracy of clinical knowledge access,support evidence-based nursing decision-making,and promote the safe application of artificial intelligence in nursing practice.展开更多

文摘Objectives This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of the semi-virtual simulation and traditional simulation teaching models based on the Standards of Best Practice(SOBP)according to the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning(INACSL)in the Adult Nursing course.Methods This study used a quasi-experimental design.A total of 94 third-year nursing students from a university in Beijing between November and December 2022 were recruited as participants.An innovative semi-virtual simulation teaching model was designed based on the SOBP established by the INACSL.In the Adult Nursing course,both the semi-virtual and traditional simulation teaching models were implemented.At the end of the simulation sessions,participants completed the Chinese version of the Simulation Effectiveness Tool-Modified(SET-M)to assess the effectiveness of the two teaching models.Results All nursing students completed the simulation sessions.There was no difference(t=−0.93,P=0.353)in the total scores between the semi-virtual simulation teaching model(50.87±5.30)and the traditional simulation teaching model(50.37±5.16).However,there was a statistically significant difference(t=−2.65,P=0.010)in the prebriefing section(semi-virtual simulation:5.60±0.71;traditional simulation:5.33±0.78).In contrast,no statistically significant differences were found for the scenario and debriefing sections(P>0.05).At the individual item level,statistical differences(P<0.05)between the two models were identified for items 1 and 9,but not for the remaining items(P>0.05).By analyzing the open-ended question,it was found that both simulation models were effective,and students’comments were similar.Conclusions The study demonstrated equivalent effectiveness between the semi-virtual and traditional simulation teaching models.Semi-virtual simulation teaching model could offer a more flexible and feasible approach to simulation teaching.

文摘Objective:Nurse-led virtual outpatient clinics are now a familiar component of healthcare delivery across many disciplines,including cancer care,or thopedics,rheumatology,and gastroenterology.However,establishing a nurse-led vir tual clinic is challenging for nursing management,par ticularly regarding resources.We aimed to investigate nursing practices and processes and patient experiences in relation to vir tual outpatient clinics.Methods:This was a cross-sectional,descriptive study using mixed data collection methods.Patients(n=324)from 4 specialist clinics completed the Virtual Clinics Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire(VCSQ)survey.Five Nurse Specialists participated in a focus group interview.Results:Most participants(86.3%)reported being satisfied/very satisfied with the virtual clinics,particularly those that were nurse-led.Nurse specialists identified electronic health records(EHRs)and additional IT and administrative support as important for efficiency and effectiveness of the clinics.Conclusions:Nurse-led virtual clinics can be an effective and efficient way to provide care to patients.Nurse managers need to ensure supportive structures are in place,for example,dedicated administrators,IT support and infrastructure,education/training,and relevant policies/procedures.The success of nurse-led virtual services requires key infrastructure to support nursing staff and sustain this service.
文摘Objectives This study aimed to analyse the benefits of a gamified clinical supervision strategy during hospital-based training,particularly regarding the development of critical and reflective thinking among undergraduate nursing students.Methods From April to July 2023,second-year nursing students who undertaking a nine-week clinical placement in a cardiology ward in northern Portugal were selected.Following a two-week diagnostic phase,students participated in a six-week gamified supervision programme comprising weekly 60-min sessions:infection-control decision-making;technical-procedural reasoning;guided emotional and ethical reflection;and clinical reasoning quiz on cardiology topics.Students completed weekly Structured Reflection Guide entries;supervisors recorded structured field notes after each session;and,after the intervention,students answered a post-intervention questionnaire and participated in focus groups.Qualitative data(reflections,field notes,open-ended questionnaire items,and focus-group transcripts)were analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis;quantitative questionnaire items were summarized descriptively.Results All seven students completed the six gamified sessions and submitted weekly reflection entries.Five students(71.4%)completed the questionnaire.Across data sources,students reported that gamified activities supported knowledge consolidation,teamwork,and clinical reasoning.Questionnaire data showed that all respondents(n=5,100%)strongly agreed that gamification enhanced their learning and should be maintained in clinical training.Reflections and focus groups revealed recurring themes related to emotional expression,sense of belonging,and difficulties using structured reflection tools,particularly in terms of comprehension and timing.Conclusion The gamified supervision strategy integrated into clinical training provided structured opportunities for practical engagement,collaborative work,and guided reflection.These findings suggest that gamification may support the development of reflective and critical-thinking processes in authentic clinical environments.

文摘Objectives This study aimed to explore the research trends,thematic structures,and core competency domains in the field of nursing-related digital and artificial intelligence(AI)technologies.Methods A bibliometric analysis was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 statement.Peer-reviewed articles published in English from 2015 to 2025 were retrieved from Scopus,Web of Science,and PubMed.Thematic clustering was conducted using the Louvain algorithm and cosine similarity.A subset of 66 frequently cited articles was then qualitatively synthesized to capture core competencies across clusters.Results A total of 83,807 articles were included for bibliometric analysis.Of these,66 articles were chosen for thematic analysis.Five major thematic clusters were identified:remote care in primary settings,oncology and palliative care,nurse education and training,safety and quality in nursing practice,and geriatric and dementia care.Additionally,four competency domains were identified:telehealth and remote communication,health systems and informatics,digital tools in practice,and AI-powered decision support.A clear shift in research focus was observed,with the emphasis transitioning from foundational digital skills before the COVID-19 pandemic to more advanced competencies during the post-pandemic digital transformation,encompassing ethical reasoning,immersive technology use,and AI integration.Conclusions Integrating digital and AI technologies is reshaping nursing practice across various thematic areas and competency domains,highlighting a transition from foundational digital tasks to AI-supported decision-making and ethically informed technology use.This study provides a structured overview of evolving competencies in digital nursing and synthesizes evidence to support future research,curriculum design,and policy planning.
文摘Background:In mental health,recovery is emphasized,and qualitative analyses of service users’narratives have accumulated;however,while qualitative approaches excel at capturing rich context and generating new concepts,they are limited in generalizability and feasible data volume.This study aimed to quantify the subjective life history narratives of users of psychiatric home-visit nursing using natural language processing(NLP)and to clarify the relationships between linguistic features and recovery-related indicators.Methods:We conducted audio-recorded and transcribed semi-structured interviews on daily life verbatim and collected self-report questionnaires(Recovery Assessment Scale[RAS])and clinician ratings(Global Assessment of Functioning[GAF])from Japanese users of psychiatric home-visit nursing.Using the artificial intelligence-based topic-modeling method BERTopic,we extracted topics from the interview texts and calculated each participant’s topic proportions,and then examined associations between topic proportions and recovery-related indicators using Pearson correlation analyses.Results:“School”showed a significant positive correlation with RAS(r=0.39,p=0.05),whereas“Family”showed a significant negative correlation(r=–0.46,p=0.02).GAF was positively correlated with word count(r=0.44,p=0.02)and“Hospital”(r=0.42,p=0.03),and negatively correlated with“Backchannels”(aizuchi)(r=–0.41,p=0.03).Conclusion:The present results suggest that the quantity,quality,and content of narratives can serve as useful indicators of mental health and recovery,and that objective NLP-based analysis of service users’narratives can complement traditional self-report scales and clinician ratings to inform the design of recovery-oriented care in psychiatric home-visit nursing.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to explore the effect of standardized patient(SP)-narrative nursing in the experimental teaching of surgical nursing.Methods:A quasi-experimental study design was adopted.A total of 200 undergraduate nursing students were recruited from the Nursing College of Guilin Medical University in China from March 2023 to December 2024.The intervention group recruited students from the Class of 2022(n=100),and the control group recruited students from the Class of 2021(n=100).The intervention group adopted a teaching model combining standardized patients with narrative nursing based on traditional scenariobased simulation teaching,which was applied to the nursing of perioperative patients(4 class hours)and scenario-based case drills(4 class hours)in the experimental teaching of surgical nursing.The control group used traditional scenario-based simulation teaching.The Nurse Humanistic Care Quality Evaluation Scale,Clinical Thinking Ability Evaluation Index System Scale for Medical Students,and Nurse-Patient Communication Ability Evaluation Scale for Nursing Students were used to investigate and compare the teaching effects between the two groups of students.Results:The total scores of the intervention group on humanistic care(91.39±3.97),clinical thinking(79.64±6.33),and nurse-patient communication(157.22±7.95)abilities were significantly higher than those of the control group(82.29±3.62,65.11±7.24,and 147.05±7.84,respectively),with statistically significant differences(P<0.01).Conclusion:This study confirms that integrating the dual teaching model of standardized patients and narrative nursing in experimental teaching of surgical nursing has significantly optimized the theoretical and practical structure of teaching strategies.This innovative teaching method provides a promotable paradigm for nursing humanities education and is of positive significance for improving the effectiveness of cultivating the core literacy of nursing talents.
文摘BACKGROUND Long-term chemotherapy for patients with gastric cancer(GC),facilitated by peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)catheterization,reduces vascular damage and enhances drug delivery efficiency but carries risks of catheter-related complications.A combination of group psychological nursing and physical mo-vement care significantly mitigates the risk of venous thrombosis and improves psychological well-being,and enhances motor function,underscoring its clinical importance.AIM To assess group psychological and physical movement nursing in preventing venous thrombosis in patients with PICC GC.METHODS Sixty-five GC patients with PICC,admitted from January 2022 to January 2023,were randomly divided into two groups using the lottery method:A control group(n=35,routine nursing)and an observation group(n=30,routine nursing plus psychological nursing and physical movement nursing).Both groups re-ceived continuous care for 2 weeks.Pre-nursing and post-nursing data on psycho-logical state,physical function,chemotherapy-related thrombosis incidence,and cancer-related fatigue were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and GraphPad Prism 8.0.RESULTS After nursing,both groups showed reduced Hamilton Anxiety Scale scores and increased General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale scores,with the observation group performing better(P<0.05).The Functional Comprehensive Assessment score for the observation group after nursing was(65.42±2.35)points,lower than the control group’s(62.19±4.33)points(P<0.05).Although no significant difference was observed in the incidence of venous thrombosis between the two groups(χ2=0.815,P=0.367),the observation group had lower incidence.Both groups showed decreased Revised Piper Fatigue Scale scores,with the observation group scoring lower(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Group psychological and physical movement nursing for patients with PICC reduces venous thrombosis risk,improves psychological well-being,cancer-related fatigue,and physical function,making it highly promotable.
文摘BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy.However,postoperative recovery remains an important issue that affects rehabilitation quality and surgical results.AIM To explore the effects of rapid rehabilitation and surgical nursing care on gastrointestinal function recovery and sleep quality among patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy.METHODS A total of 120 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy at our hospital between January 2019 and March 2024 and for whom complete clinical data were available were selected.Patients were randomly assigned to two groups(n=60 each)using the random number table method.The control group received routine nursing care,while the experimental group received rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing care;all patients continued to receive nursing care until discharge.The recovery of gastrointestinal function,length of hospital stay,complications,Pittsburgh sleep quality index,and nursing satisfaction were compared between groups.RESULTS Following the implementation of effective nursing measures,the times to bowel sound recovery,first exhaust,first defecation,and first feeding were notably shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the duration of the first postoperative activity and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the study group exhibited better sleep quality than the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate was significantly lower and the nursing satisfaction rate significantly higher in the study vs control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing interventions provided to patients after laparoscopic appendectomy can accelerate their postoperative recovery,reduce the occurrence of complications,and improve their sleep quality and nursing satisfaction.
文摘Objective:This study aims to assess nursing faculty’s perceptions and challenges in teaching Generation Z students,providing insights into the barriers and opportunities in bridging the generational learning gap.Material and Methods:A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 335 nursing faculty members in the Delhi NCR region.Participants were recruited using a snowball sampling technique,and data were collected via a self-administered structured questionnaire.The questionnaire measured faculty perceptions and challenges using a Likert scale,with reliability assessed using Cronbach’s alpha.Data were analyzed through Descriptive and inferential statistics.Results:Findings revealed that while faculty recognize the need for technology integration and student-centered learning,they face challenges such as academic integrity concerns,psychological stress,and adapting to Gen Z’s expectations for personalized learning.The correlation between faculty perceptions and challenges was negligible(r=0.020,P=0.717),indicating that faculty perceptions remain stable despite these difficulties.Conclusion:Nursing faculty need to adapt pedagogical approaches to meet the evolving needs of Gen Z students.Bridging the gap between traditional teaching methods and the evolving needs of Generation Z requires faculty training,institutional support,and curriculum innovations.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to investigate the learning expectations of undergraduate nursing students regarding the flipped Health Assessment course.Methods:This descriptive,qualitative study was conducted at a medical university in Fuzhou,Fujian Province,China.An interview outline was designed based on the core dimensions of Expectation Confirmation Theory(expectation sources,expectation content,and expectation importance).Thirty second-year undergraduate nursing students who had completed first-year basic medical courses and were about to take the flipped Health Assessment course were interviewed between June and July 2022.Interview data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis.Results:Five major themes and thirteen subthemes were identified.Theme 1 was expectation sourcesperceived learning difficulties from past experiences,which included four subthemes:insufficient autonomous learning ability,confusion regarding learning methods,insufficient engagement in learning,and low professional identity.Theme 2 included knowledge and information expectations,which comprised three subthemes:knowledge to improve professional competence,knowledge to enhance academic competitiveness,and knowledge to boost self-efficacy.Theme 3 comprised logical expectations and included two subthemes:flexible teaching methods and efficient instructional tools.Theme 4,pleasure expectations,included two subthemes:vivid teaching styles and diversified teaching evaluations.Theme 5 comprised professional value expectations and included two subthemes:teachers'responsible professional attitudes and gentle emotional support.Conclusion:Students'learning expectations originate from perceived learning difficulties,such as insufficient learning autonomy and engagement,confusion about learning methods,and a lack of professional identity.They showed various learning expectations for the flipped Health Assessment course,including knowledge and information,logic,pleasure,and professional value expectations.
文摘association with academic and clinical performance.This study aimed to determine the EI level of hospital-based nursing students and examine differences between full-time and part-time students.Methods:We conducted a cross-sectional study in a hospital-based nursing school.EI level was measured using the Schutte Self-report Emotional Intelligence Scale(SSEIS).Results:We recruited 287 participants(mean age:21.9 years).Their mean SSEIS score was 119.6(95%CI=118.57-120.65).The mean SSEIS scores of 172 full-time and 115 part-time nurses were 120.7(95%CI=119.3-122.0)and 118.1(95%CI=116.5-119.6),respectively.There was no significant difference between the groups.Conclusion:The EI difference between full-time and part-time nursing students was statistically insignificant.The need for further EI development among both full-time and part-time students must be addressed.
文摘Objectives:This study examined the levels of shared leadership and missed nursing care and their relationship among nurses in Egypt.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted.From February to April 2024,340 nurses worked in all inpatient care units at Alexandria Main University Hospital.The Shared Leadership and Missed Nursing Care Survey was used for evaluation.Results:The overall score of shared leadership was(72.62±4.30),which imitates a high perception of shared leadership among nurses;the dimension of delegation achieved the highest average mean score(3.66±0.26),followed by collaboration(3.64±0.31),the vision dimension scored the lowest mean score(3.59±0.33).The elements of missed nursing care had a total score of(46.72±5.69),and the dimension of secondary care achieved the highest average mean score(3.74±0.31).The reasons for missed nursing care had a total mean score of(22.40±1.59),and the dimension of labor resources achieved the highest average mean score(3.20±0.22).Male nurses,less than 30 years old,married,held a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences,less than five years of experience in the nursing profession,and less than five years of experience in the current working unit had higher total scores of the shared leadership and lower total scores of missed nursing care(P<0.001).A negative correlation existed between shared leadership and two dimentisons(the elements of nursing care[r=-0.383],the reasons for missing nursing care[r=-0.047])(P<0.001).Conclusions:The study’s findings can help as a theoretical underpinning for nursing leaders to stand in an environment that reduces the incidence of missed nursing care by encouraging teamwork,responsibility,workload management,and empowerment among nurses.

文摘Objective:To address the problems of disconnection between teaching and practice,weak clinical thinking,and poor post adaptability of students in traditional internal medicine nursing teaching,explore the“dual-teacher linkage”collaborative teaching path,and improve teaching quality and students’post adaptability.Methods:Two classes of nursing majors in Grade 2023 of our college were selected as research objects.The experimental group(100 students)adopted the“dual-teacher linkage”model(on-campus teachers+clinical experts)to build a“pre-class co-research–in-class coguidance–post-class co-evaluation”system;the control group(98 students)adopted traditional teaching.Comparisons were made after one semester of practice.Results:The average score of the comprehensive assessment in the experimental group was 85.6 points(76.3 points in the control group,p<0.05).The clinical decision-making ability,program improvement ability,and post competence evaluation of the experimental group were all superior to those of the control group,and 93.3%of students were satisfied with this model.Conclusion:The“dual-teacher linkage”model can organically unify knowledge transmission and ability training,and is an effective and innovative practice to deepen the reform of internal medicine nursing teaching and cultivate high-quality skilled nursing talents.
文摘Objective:To assess the employability of Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN)graduates from a Catholic university in the Philippines,focusing on identifying program strengths,weaknesses,and relevance in preparing graduates for the nursing profession.Nursing education plays a crucial role in shaping the employability and competence of graduates,particularly in the dynamic healthcare landscape of the Philippines.Evaluating the employability of BSN graduates provides essential insights into program effectiveness and relevance,contributing to ongoing discussions in nursing education and practice.Methods:Employing a mixed-methods approach,this study involved surveying recent BSN graduates to profile their employment status,employer types,positions held,workplace characteristics,job search experiences,income levels,and alignment of current jobs with the BSN program.Additionally,the study evaluated the relevance of BSN competencies and gathered feedback from graduates to identify program strengths and weaknesses.The study utilized a survey instrument and qualitative analysis techniques to analyze the data.Results:The findings indicate that a majority of BSN graduates secured regular employment,predominantly in private institutions as staff nurses,both nationally and internationally.Most graduates attained employment within 6 months of graduation,with favorable income levels and job roles aligning with the BSN program’s objectives.The competencies acquired during the BSN program were found to align with contemporary nursing demands,highlighting the program’s effectiveness.Notable strengths included patient-centered care and critical thinking skills,while weaknesses encompassed limited clinical exposure and faculty support.Conclusions:The study highlights the importance of nursing education in facilitating the employability of graduates and meeting the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.It affirms the relevance and effectiveness of the BSN program at the Catholic university studied.Recommendations include allocating resources to address identified weaknesses and further strengthen program strengths,ultimately enhancing nursing education and practice.

文摘In nursing practice,electronic nursing records(ENRs)are an important component of patient care documents,but they also significantly increase administrative burdens.With the development of artificial intelligence technology,it has become possible to use large text models to assist in generating nursing documents.This article explores the application of generative AI in nursing documentation.Research has shown that the application of generative AI in nursing documents demonstrates significant potential,but also faces challenges in terms of quality and implementation.In terms of efficiency,AI assisted document tools can significantly reduce the administrative burden on nurses by reallocating time to direct patient care.Studies have shown that they can reduce document time by 21-30%.However,there are variables in the quality of AI generated records,and the content is often described as'textbook style',lacking patient specific details and appropriate medical terminology.Successful implementation relies on a specialized framework that includes strong stakeholder engagement and adaptation to nursing specific workflows and regulatory standards.The conclusion points out that current AI systems are most suitable for assisting in drafting nursing documents,and clinical validation remains crucial for patient safety and document integrity.
文摘Objective:To investigate the impact of precise nursing care based on dynamic nursing quality feedback model on the postoperative recovery of elderly patients undergoing radical resection for colon cancer,with a particular focus on its effects on psychological flexibility.Methods:Medical records of 124 elderly patients undergoing radical resection for colon cancer at The First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College between January 2021 and May 2024 were retrospectively analyzed in this study.Based on the received nursing interventions,the patients were divided into a control group(standard nursing care)and an observation group(precise nursing care based on a dynamic nursing quality feedback model).Results:The observation group exhibited significantly higher levels of hemoglobin,prealbumin,and albumin compared to the control group.Additionally,the observation group had lower scores in somatization,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,obsessions-compulsions,hostility,phobic anxiety,psychoticism,and paranoid ideation.The observation group also demonstrated higher scores in active coping,self-efficacy,and the management of emotions,life,and symptoms.Improvements were also observed in nursing quality,perioperative intervention,satisfaction with rehabilitation guidance,and awareness of regular reexaminations,diet intervention,and complication prevention(all with P<0.05).Conclusion:Precise nursing based on a dynamic nursing quality feedback model can improve nutritional status and medical coping style,reduce psychological issues,and enhance self-management abilities in elderly patients following radical resection of colon cancer.Additionally,it increases nursing satisfaction and raises awareness regarding the importance of regular reexaminations and complication prevention.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to develop a Nursing Retrieval-Augmented Generation(NurRAG)system based on large language models(LLMs)and to evaluate its accuracy and clinical applicability in nursing question answering.Methods:A multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing experts,artificial intelligence researchers,and information engineers collaboratively designed the NurRAG framework following the principles of retrieval-augmented generation.The system included four functional modules:1)construction of a nursing knowledge base through document normalization,embedding,and vector indexing;2)nursing question filtering using a supervised classifier;3)semantic retrieval and re-ranking for evidence selection;and 4)evidence-conditioned language model generation to produce citation-based nursing answers.The system was securely deployed on hospital intranet servers using Docker containers.Performance evaluation was conducted with 1,000 expert-verified nursing question–answer pairs.Semantic fidelity was assessed using Recall Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation–Longest Common Subsequence(ROUGE-L),and clinical correctness was measured using Accuracy.Results:The NurRAG system achieved significant improvements in both semantic fidelity and answer accuracy compared with conventional large language models.For ChatGLM2-6B,ROUGE-L increased from(30.73±1.48)%to(64.27±0.27)%,and accuracy increased from(49.08±0.92)%to(75.83±0.35)%.For LLaMA2-7B,ROUGE-L increased from(28.76±0.89)%to(60.33±0.21)%,and accuracy increased from(43.27±0.83)%to(73.29±0.33)%.All differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).A quantitative case analysis further demonstrated that NurRAG effectively reduced hallucinated outputs and generated evidence-based,guideline-concordant nursing responses.Conclusion:The NurRAG system integrates domain-specific retrieval with LLMs generation to provide accurate,reliable,and traceable evidence-based nursing answers.The findings demonstrate the system’s feasibility and potential to improve the accuracy of clinical knowledge access,support evidence-based nursing decision-making,and promote the safe application of artificial intelligence in nursing practice.
文摘There is a need and opportunity for China to develop education and practice innovations given that advance practice nurses (APNs) improve health care and outcomes.The China Medical Board (CMB)China Nursing Network (CCNN) began planning for an Advanced Nursing Practice Program for education and career development that will facilitate CCNN's contributions to meeting national nursing policy priorities.This paper presents the discussion,recommendations and action plans developed at the inaugural planning meeting on June 26,2015 at Fudan University in Shanghai.The recommendations are:Develop standards for advanced nursing practice;Develop Master's level curricula based on the standards;Commence pilot projects across a number of University affiliated hospitals;and Prepare clinical tutors and faculty.The strategic directions and actions are: Develop a clinical career ladder system;Expand the nursing role from hospital to community;and Build a specialty nurse accreditation system.
