First of all, expertise database has been constructed by extracting keywords after indexing national R&D information in Korea (human resources, project and outcome) and applying expertise calculation algorithm. In consideration of the characteristics of national R&D information, weight values have been selected. Then, expertise points were calculated by applying weighted values. In addition, joint research and collaborative relations were implemented in a knowledge map format through network analysis using national R&D information.展开更多
Automatic image classification is the first step toward semantic understanding of an object in the computer vision area.The key challenge of problem for accurate object recognition is the ability to extract the robust...Automatic image classification is the first step toward semantic understanding of an object in the computer vision area.The key challenge of problem for accurate object recognition is the ability to extract the robust features from various viewpoint images and rapidly calculate similarity between features in the image database or video stream.In order to solve these problems,an effective and rapid image classification method was presented for the object recognition based on the video learning technique.The optical-flow and RANSAC algorithm were used to acquire scene images from each video sequence.After the selection of scene images,the local maximum points on comer of object around local area were found using the Harris comer detection algorithm and the several attributes from local block around each feature point were calculated by using scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) for extracting local descriptor.Finally,the extracted local descriptor was learned to the three-dimensional pyramid match kernel.Experimental results show that our method can extract features in various multi-viewpoint images from query video and calculate a similarity between a query image and images in the database.展开更多

The subject can be an individual, a group, or an institution, and can be a nation depending on the nature of the relevant information. Most web data are composed of a title, an author, and contents. A paper which is under the academic information category has metadata including a title, an author, keyword, abstract, data about publication, place of publication, ISSN, and the like. A patent has metadata including the title, an applicant, an inventor, an attorney, IPC, number of application, and claims of the invention. Most web-based academic information services enable users to search the information by processing the meta-information. An important element is to search information by using the author field which corresponds to a personal name. This study suggests a method of efficient indexing and using the adjacent operation result ranking algorithm to which phrase search-based boosting elements are applied, and thus improving the accuracy of the search results of author name. This method can be effectively applied to providing accurate search results in the academic information services.展开更多

The proposed approach makes researchers search their paper using the Google Scholar's opened API (application program interface) and update their outcome. This study investigates the possibilities offered by the development of graphene environment technology that can contribute to new and effective approaches for the transition to an ecologically benign ecosystem.To ana...This study investigates the possibilities offered by the development of graphene environment technology that can contribute to new and effective approaches for the transition to an ecologically benign ecosystem.To analyze the research and development progress in graphene environment technology,graphene environment technology research trends of South Korea for the years 2009e2020 are investigated by acquiring information pertaining to national research and development projects related to graphene environment technology from the National Science and Technology Information Service.Both structured and unstructured data are analyzed using diverse text-mining methods,such as keyword frequency analysis,association rule mining,and topic modelling.The results indicate that graphene research in South Korea is focused primarily on graphene use in batteries and energy-storage devices,such as solar cells,fuel cells,and secondary batteries.This study can help understand the manner by which the South Korean government has been investing in the research and development of graphene environment technology;additionally,it discusses the future applications and prospects of graphene for the next decade.展开更多
