However, in magnets stacked by antiferromagnetic(AFM) exchange coupling, which have recently aroused significant interest for potential applications in spintronics, Bose–Einstein distribution populates magnon states across all energies from opposite eigenmodes, and hence the magnon spin current is largely compensated. Contrary to this common observation, here, we show that magnets with X-type AFM stacking, where opposite magnetic sublattices form orthogonal intersecting chains, support giant magnon spin currents with minimal compensation. Our model Hamiltonian calculations predict magnetic chain locking of magnon spin currents in these X-type magnets, significantly reducing their compensation ratio. In addition, the one-dimensional nature of the chain-like magnetic sublattices enhances magnon spin conductivities surpassing those of two-dimensional ferromagnets and canonical altermagnets. Notably, uncompensated X-type magnets, such as odd-layer antiferromagnets and ferrimagnets, can exhibit magnon spin currents polarized opposite to those expected by their net magnetization. These unprecedented properties of X-type magnets, combined with their inherent advantages resulting from AFM coupling, offer a promising new path for low-power high-performance spintronics.展开更多

A high magnetic field accelerates ferrite transformation, changes the morphology of the transformed microstructures and increases the A3 and A1 temperature. In a magnetic field of 30T, the A1 temperature increases by about 37.1℃ for Fe-0.8C, the A3 temperature for pure Fe increases by about 33.1℃. The measured transformation temperature data are not consistent with calculation results using Weiss molecular field theory. Ferrite grains are elongated and aligned along the direction of magnetic field in Fe-0.4C and Fe-0.6C alloys by ferrite transformation, but elongated and aligned structure was not found in pure Fe, Fe-0.05C alloy and Fe-1.5Mn-0.11C-0.1V alloy.展开更多

Nb addition proved to result in relevant improvement in the magnetic properties, especially in the coercivity He. In particular, Hc was improved from 602 to 786 kA/m at room temperature. The maximum value of the integrated recoil loops area for 0.06 at.% Nb-doped samples of 1.81 kJ/m3 was much lower than that of the Nb-free sample, which could be explained by a smaller recoverable portion of the magnetization remaining in the Nb-doped sample when the applied field was below the coercivity Hc. We designed and constructed three types of coils: surface pulsed magneto-oscillation, hot-toppulsed magneto-oscillation (HPMO) and combined pulsed magneto-oscillation (CPMO). PMO treatment refined thesolidification structure in all the ingots. The configuration of the PMO, however, introduced differences in magnetic fieldintensity, electromagnetic force, Joule heat, flow field, equiaxed grain zone, grain size and growth direction of columnargrains. The largest equiaxed grain zone was found in CPMO treated ingot, and the smallest grain size was found in bothHPM0 and CPMO treated ingots. Numerical simulation indicated that difference in electromagnetic field and flow fieldresulted in differences in solidification structure. HPMO is more advantageous over others for large ingot production.展开更多

In this paper, two kinds of power supply design are briefly presented and both advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. In order to overcome the drawbacks of switching power supply, a series regulated active filter is adopted and a new design is proposed which ensures cooperative relationship between the feedback control loops of the switching converter and the series regulated active filter. Besides, unlike the traditional switching power supply, which can generate positive voltage only, this new design can also generate negative voltage which is needed in the quench protection for the superconducting magnet. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the methodology, a low-power prototype has been accomplished. The simulation and experiment results show that the power supply achieves high precision under the combined action of two feedback control loops. The peak-to-peak amplitude of the output ripple voltage of the prototype is 0.063%, while the peak-to-peak amplitude of the output ripple current is 120 ppm.展开更多

Effect of Nd content and wheel speed on the crystal structure and magnetic properties of the ribbons was investigated. Both the free and wheel side of the ribbons could obtain strong c-axis crystal texture of Nd2Fe14B phase perpendicular to the ribbons surface at low wheel speed, but the texture weakened gradually with the increase of the wheel speed. Increase of Nd content led to better formation of crystal texture in the ribbons, indicating that the α-Fe phase might undermine the formation of crystal texture. Magnetic measurement results showed that the magnetic anisotropy of the ribbons exhibited corresponding behavior with the invariance of the c-axis crystal texture of Nd2Fe14B phase in the ribbons, and the coercivity of the ribbons rose with the increase of both Nd content and wheel speed during melt-spun process.展开更多

文摘Motivated by the recent discovery of charge density wave(CDW)order in the magnetic kagomémetal Fe Ge,we study the single-orbital t-N-V_(1)-V_(2)model on the kagomélattice, where N,V_(1),and V_(2)are the onsite, nearest neighbor, and next-nearest-neighbor Coulomb interactions, respectively. When the Fermi level lies in the flat band, the instability toward ferromagnetic(FM)order gives rise to a FM half-metal at sufficiently large onsite N.Intriguingly,at band filling n=17/24,the Fermi level crosses the van Hove singularity of the spin-minority bands of the half-metal.We show that, due to the unique geometry and sublattice interference on the kagomélattice at van Hove singularity, the inter-site Coulomb interactions V_(1) and V_(2)drive a real and an imaginary bond-ordered 2a_(0)×2a_(0) CDW instability, respectively. The FM loop current CDW with complex bond orders is a spin-polarized Chern insulator exhibiting the quantum anomalous Hall effect. The bond fluctuations are found to be substantially enhanced compared to the corresponding nonmagnetic kagomémetals at van Hove filling, providing a concrete model realization of the bond-ordered CDWs,including the FM loop current CDW,over the onsite charge density ordered states. When the spins are partially polarized at an intermediate N,we find that the interplay of CDW and magnetism enables the formation of real and complex bond-ordered CDWs,and the CDW transition is accompanied by a substantial enhancement in the ordered magnetic moments. These findings provide physical insights for the emergence of 2a_(0)×2a_(0) CDWs and their interplay with magnetism on the kagomélattice, and capture the essential physics observed experimentally in Fe Ge.

文摘Liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)of proteins and nucleic acids is a common phenomenon in cells that underlies the formation of membraneless organelles.Although the macroscopic behavior of biomolecular coacervates has been elucidated by microscopy, the detailed dynamic properties of proteins/peptides during the LLPS process remain poorly characterized.Here,site-directed spin labeling-electron paramagnetic resonance(SDSL-EPR)spectroscopy was employed to characterize the dynamic properties of a minimal model LLPS system consisting of positively charged peptides and RNA.The degree of phase separation, indicated by broadening of the EPR spectrum of the spin-labeled peptide due to slow molecular tumbling, was monitored by EPR.In addition, three distinct populations with varying molecular motion during LLPS,featuring different spectral lineshapes, were identified. These populations included a fast motion component(Ⅰ),a slower motion component(Ⅱ)associated with peptides in the dispersed phase and an immobile component(Ⅲ)observed in the dense phase. With gradual titration of the peptides to RNA,the EPR spectrum gradually shifted, refiecting changes in the populations of the components.Together,SDSL-EPR method not only provides new insights into the dynamic behavior of biomolecules during LLPS,but also offers a sensitive method for biomolecular phase separation processes at the molecular level.

文摘Rare-earth based frustrated magnets have attracted great attention as excellent candidates for magnetic refrigeration at sub-Kelvin temperatures, while the experimental identification of systems exhibiting both large volumetric cooling capacity and reduced working temperatures far below 1K remains a challenge. Here, through ultra-low temperature magnetism and thermodynamic characterizations,we unveil the large magnetocaloric effect(MCE)realized at sub-Kelvin temperatures in the frustrated Kagome antiferromagnet Gd_(3)BWO_(9) with T_(N)∼1.0 K.The isothermal magnetization curves indicate the existence of field(B)induced anisotropic magnetic phase diagrams, where four distinct magnetic phases for B‖c-axis and five magnetic phases for B‖ab-plane are identified at T<T_(N).The analysis of magnetic entropy S(B,T)data and direct adiabatic demagnetization tests reveal remarkable cooling performance at sub-Kelvin temperatures featured by a large volumetric entropy density of 502.2 mJ/K/cm^(3)and a low attainable minimal temperature T_(min)∼168mK from the initial cooling condition of 2K and 6 T,surpassing most Gd-based refrigerants previously documented in temperature ranges of 0.25–4 K.The realized T_(min)∼168mK far below T_(N)∼1.0K in Gd_(3)BWO_(9) is related to the combined effects of magnetic frustration and criticality-enhanced MCE,which together leave substantial magnetic entropy at reduced temperatures by enhancing spin fluctuations.

文摘Static magnetic field(SMF)exposure exerts notable regulatory effects on metabolic disorders, yet its influence on metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)and gut microbiota during disease progression remains unclear. In this study,MAFLD was induced in mice via a high-fat diet(HFD),followed by exposure to a 0.2 T SMF for 12 h per day over a 10 week period.SMF treatment significantly attenuated body weight gain, alleviated hepatic lipid accumulation, and improved liver function.Sequencing analysis of intestinal contents revealed a significant increase in microbial diversity and enrichment of beneficial bacterial taxa under SMF exposure.Integrated multi-omics analysis and Spearman correlation further demonstrated that SMF significantly reduced the expression of genes involved in fatty acid synthesis and modulated pathways related to polyunsaturated fatty acid and glutamate metabolism,in close association with shifts in beneficial gut microbiota.Furthermore, transcriptomic profiling of liver tissue indicated that SMF inhibited fatty acid synthesis and elongation by regulating the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptorγ(PPARγ),thereby contributing to reduced hepatic burden. These findings highlight SMF as a promising non-invasive strategy for MAFLD intervention and provide insights into the microbiota-mediated metabolic axis underlying its therapeutic effects.

文摘Mn_(3)Si_(2)Te_(6) is a ferrimagnetic nodal-line semiconductor with colossal angular magnetoresistance at ambient pressure. In this work,we investigated the effect of hydrostatic pressure on its electrical transport properties, magnetic transition, and crystal structure by measuring resistivity,DC and AC magnetic susceptibility, and XRD under various pressures up to~20 GPa.Our results confirmed the occurrence of pressure-induced structural transition at P_(c)≈10–12 GPa accompanied by a concurrent drop of room-temperature resistance in Mn_(3)Si_(2)Te_(6).In the low-pressure phase at PP_(c),the sample exhibits a metallic behavior in the whole temperature range and its resistivity exhibits a kink anomaly at T_(M),characteristic of critical scattering around a magnetic transition.Recovery of the Raman spectrum upon decompression indicated that pressure-induced structural transition is reversible without amorphization under hydrostatic pressure conditions. Our present work not only resolves some existing controversial issues but also provides new insights into pressure-driven diverse behaviors of Mn_(3)Si_(2)Te_(6).

文摘The antiferromagnetic(AFM)semimetal NdSb is well known for the interplay between its exotic magnetism and topological properties. However, its magnetism remains poorly understood. In this study,we thoroughly investigated the magnetization of NdSb single crystals with a high magnetic field(H)of up to 30T applied in various directions. We found that the AFM phase is suppressed by a magnetic field of 9.41T when H‖[100]and 11.25T when H‖[110],whereas the suppression field ranges from 9.41 to 10.67T with a hysteresis of 1.26T when H‖[111].The magnetization of H‖[100],which is an easy direction with a typical magnetic transition, was studied in detail. The AFM phase with H‖[100]was suppressed at lower temperatures, disappearing at approximately 6.25 K.The critical exponents β=0.234(3),γ=0.824(6),and δ=4.90(6)were obtained for H‖[100],and aligned with a tricritical mean-field model.Analysis of the critical behavior suggests a fieldinduced tricritical phenomenon for H‖[100].An H-T phase diagram for an NdSb single crystal was constructed for H‖[100],revealing a field-induced first-order transition and a tricritical point(TCP)at T_(tr)=6.25K and H_(tr)=9.41 T.The clarification of the multiple magnetic phases and transitions in NdSb provides crucial insights into the correlation between its magnetism and topology.

文摘When a perpendicular magnetic field penetrates a thin slab of a type-Ⅱ superconductor it produces vortices, with one vortex per flux quantum,h/2e.The vortices interact repulsively and form an ordered array(Abrikosov lattice)in clean systems, while strong disorder changes the lattice into a vortex glass. The collective vortex dynamics is extremely vulnerable to external perturbations.Consequently, although of great importance, experimental observation is limited. Here we investigate type-Ⅱ superconducting films(PdBi_(2)and NbSe_(2))with surface acoustic waves(SAWs)at mK temperature. When sweeping the magnetic field at an extremely slow rate,we observe a series of spikes in the attenuation and velocity of the SAW,on average separated in field by approximately Hc1.We propose the following scenario:The vortex-free region at the edges of the film produces an edge barrier across which the vortices can enter or leave. When the applied field changes, the induced supercurrents flowing along this edge region lowers this barrier until there is an instability. At that point, vortices avalanche into(or out of)the bulk and change the vortex crystal, suggested by the sharp jump in each such spike. The vortices then gradually relax to a new stable pinned configuration, leading to a~30 s relaxation after the jump. Our observation enriches the limited experimental evidence on the important topic of real-time vortex dynamics in superconductors.

文摘Magnon spin currents in insulating magnets are useful for low-power spintronics. These unprecedented properties of X-type magnets, combined with their inherent advantages resulting from AFM coupling, offer a promising new path for low-power high-performance spintronics.

文摘Temperature-dependent resistivity, upper critical field H_(c2)and its anisotropy in overdoped superconducting Ba_(1-x)K_x Fe_2As_2(x=0.6-1)single crystals have been measured in steady magnetic fields up to 44 T and low temperatures down to 0.4 K.Analysis using both the quadratic term and power-law fitting demonstrates that the in-plane resistivityρ_(ab)(T)progressively approaches the Fermi-liquid T~2behavior with increasing K doping and reaches a saturation plateau at x≈0.8.The temperature dependence of both H_(c2)^(ab)and H^(c)_(c2)follows the Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg model, incorporating orbital and spin paramagnetic effects. For x≤0.8,the orbital effect dominates for H ab,while the Pauli paramagnetic effect prevails for H c.For x>0.8,the Pauli paramagnetic effect becomes dominant in both crystallographic directions. The anisotropy of H_(c2)(0)exhibits a discontinuity in its dependence on K doping concentration with a significant enhancement at x=0.8 and a maximum at x=0.9.These experimental results indicate that the electron correlation effect is enhanced in the heavily overdoped Ba_(1-x)K_(x)Fe_(2)As_(2)system where the underlying symmetries are broken due to the Fermi surface reconstruction before x=0.9.
文摘The effect of a high magnetic field up to 30T on phase transformation temperature and microstructure of Fe-based alloys has been reviewed. Ferrite grains are elongated and aligned along the direction of magnetic field in Fe-0.4C and Fe-0.6C alloys by ferrite transformation, but elongated and aligned structure was not found in pure Fe, Fe-0.05C alloy and Fe-1.5Mn-0.11C-0.1V alloy.

文摘The effect of Nb addition on the microstructure and magnetic properties of nanocrystaUine Sm(CobaiNbxZr0.02)7 permanent magnet were investigated, The magnetization reversal behavior for ball milled Sm(CobaiNbxZr0.02)7 samples with high coercivity was investigated by analyzing hysteresis curves and recoil loops of demagnetization curves. Nb addition proved to result in relevant improvement in the magnetic properties, especially in the coercivity He. It was shown that the magnetic properties of Sm(CobalNbx- Zr0.02)7 nanocrystalline magnets were improved by an additional 0.06 at.% Nb. The nucleation field Hn for irreversible magnetization reversal of the magnetically hard phase were calculated by analyzed in terms of the△Mirrev-H curve and the Kondorsky model.

文摘Using both numerical and experimental methods, we studied the effect of coil configuration of pulsed magneto-oscillation(PMO) on distribution of electromagnetic field, flow field and solidification structure with the same pulse currentparameters in A1 ingots. HPMO is more advantageous over others for large ingot production.

文摘We measured the contact angles of Al and Sn drops on polycrystalline Al2O3 substrates in various high magnetic fields at different temperatures. The contact angles of both Al and Sn drops on the Al2O3 substrates decreased under high magnetic fields. These decreases strongly depend on the temperature, magnetic flux density, magnetic properties of the metal drops, and the reactivity of the metal drops with Al2O3.Our results reveal that the wetting behavior of molten metal drops on ceramics can be modified by a high magnetic field.

文摘The superconducting outsert of the 40 T hybrid-magnet in High Magnetic Field Laboratory (HMFL) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) requires a highly stabilized power supply. The peak-to-peak amplitude of the output ripple voltage of the prototype is 0.063%, while the peak-to-peak amplitude of the output ripple current is 120 ppm.

文摘Crystallographic alignment and magnetic anisotropy were studied for NdxFe94–xB6 (x=8,9,10,11) ribbons prepared via melt-spinning. Magnetic measurement results showed that the magnetic anisotropy of the ribbons exhibited corresponding behavior with the invariance of the c-axis crystal texture of Nd2Fe14B phase in the ribbons, and the coercivity of the ribbons rose with the increase of both Nd content and wheel speed during melt-spun process.
